Unit 5 What an adventure!单元分析单元主题:人与自然-宇宙探索单元内容分析本单元的主题语境是“人与自然”,同时包含“人与自我”的主题语境内容,内容是人类的探险活动及其意义。
单元以历史上著名探险家的介绍引入话题,然后通过谈论人们攀登珠峰的故事,分析探险家的品格特征,讨论了人们冒险攀登珠穆朗玛峰的话题,引导学生思考探险的意义,又通过科幻小说《海底两万里》的选读,展示了海底世界的独特及其对人的吸引力。
最终启发读者对人与自然的关系和自我价值的思考。
1. Starting out &. Understanding ideasStarting out 两部分内容均为多模态语篇。
活动1以图片的形式呈现15-16世纪的海上航路,结合短文信息,介绍三位航海探险家。
活动2通过视频介绍中国明代探险家徐霞客的生平和贡献。
Understanding ideas 语篇类型是夹叙夹议的论说文(essay)。
通过举例和引用几位探险家和心理学家的话,分析探险家的探险“天性”和探险活动的价值。
2.Using language 该语法部分旨在通过语境对比和时间轴图示,结合句子和情境训练,加深学生对动词的过去将来时用法的理解;词汇部分是与主题相关的急救知识和词汇的结合,帮助学生了解和熟悉生活中的急救方法,积累救生知识,培养生存技能。
听说部分是一段访谈,两位学生描述他们完成318国道骑行的经历,通过真实语境下做笔记和听说技能的综合训练,帮助学生加深对探险主题的理解,提高语言运用能力。
语法部分的活动结合主题意义的探究展开。
活动由浅人深,注重“发现一归纳一运用”的过程。
通过观察例句,学生发现并归纳出将来进行时的用法,并能够在真实语境中思考和进行交际训练,提高综合语言运用能力。
3.Developing ideas 文章是文学名著选读,根据法国作家Jules Verne的科幻小说《海底两万里》的选段改写,属于记叙类文章。
教学设计一、教学方法本节课是采用PowerPoint课件辅助教学,采用“双向七环节”的教学方法。
主要通过课前预习、自主探究、小组合作、交流展示、疑难点拨、及时反馈、巩固提高等方式达到教学目标。

Post reading: (group discussion)10. Summary11. Homework学情分析学生英语水平参差不齐,但程度差的占大部分,他们英语词汇量很小,语法有的懂点,但不精,有的干脆是一窍不通,平时做阅读都是瞎蒙,有的学生可能说的不好,主要是有的根本就不敢张嘴。
老师针对学生现状,在课堂上尽量以鼓励表扬为主,注重培养学习英语的兴趣,营造学英语的氛围,鼓励学生开口说英语、特别是给差生创造机会,让他们尝试成功的喜悦。
另一方面,学生有一定的分化,但也不是全部都差,没基础。
麻烦的是,也有不少对语言学习接收较快的学生,对英语学习特别感兴趣的学生,他们到高一年级,英语知识已经达到了一定的水平。
现阶段我们现在除了要分析学生的学习状况外,还需了解他们的学习习惯,包括上课听讲、记笔记、做作业以及复习等等。

首先,我对本节内容进行分析:一、教学设计背景1.面向学生:青铜峡市高级中学高一年级学生学科:英语2.课时:13. 教学理论依据英语教学是一种生活教学,所以它也是活动教学,教学过程也是交际活动过程。
只有从组织教学活动入手,结合生活实际,大量地进行语言实践,使英语课堂生活化,交际化,才能有效地培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力。
新课标提出:“外国语是学习文化科学知识,获取世界各方面信息和进行国际交往的重要工具。
”和“……发展听、说、读、写的基本技能,提高初步运用英语进行交际的能力,……”,明确提出高中阶段英语教学要重点从三个方面发展学生的英语语用能力:用英语进行恰当交流的能力;用英语获取信息、处理信息的能力;用英语进行思维的能力。
在结合本班学生的实际,对教材进行了适当处理。
4.学生分析(1)学生对旅游方面的知识有一定的了解和兴趣,但对加拿大这个国家的了解还比较有限;(2) 由于学生主要来源于农村,知识面和信息渠道很有限,学生多数对加拿大的地理位置,自然资源以及主要城市了解不多;(3) 学生具备一定的阅读理解能力,但在有限的时间内查找特定的信息和分析处理问题的能力还有待提高;5.学生课前准备(1)初读课文理解文章大意;(2) 勾画出生词并自己查阅词典自学,读准发音,弄清意思;(3) 勾画出好短语、句子和有疑难问题的词句;(4) 标出自然段落。

二、教学设计与理念本节课的出发点和落脚点是“读写结合”,旨在通过这节课的学习,让学生学会游记的一般写作方式:1.按照时间顺序、地点顺序介绍2.详细介绍一个地点可从多角度进行细节描写,用“主题句+细节”结构3.现在分词结构可做主语,尤其在描写活动、动作时能凸显“现场感”三、教学步骤本节课首先让学生读标题进行预测,预测文章的语篇类型,根据对语篇类型的预测再进行文章内容的预测,回忆记叙文文体的基本要素5W+1H. 再让学生进行整体阅读,读出文章大意,将文章划分成三部分。
之后是细节处理:快速阅读文章第一部分以表格形式找出本次旅行关键信息;阅读文章第2-3部分,画出本次旅行的路线图,再根据路线图梳理各个地点详细信息,通过问题“Among the places, which impresses you most? Tell your reasons.”引导学生以“阅读圈”的形式进行小组学习和讨论。
学生表达分享后,教师对“温哥华”部分的文本详细分析,从内容结构上、语言上、思维上进行指导。
最后给出仿写任务Suppose you’re going to write a journal about local travel for foreign friends, how would you introduce the towns along the railway? Choose one you’re most familiar with and write. Work in groups.04四、本节课亮点本节课的亮点在于从“读写结合”角度出发,对文本的结构和重点城市温哥华的介绍篇幅进行分析。
旅游是学生生活中常见的活动,并且也是学生喜闻乐见的休闲形式,因此激发学生进行游记仿写对学生语言能力中“写”这一输出型技能的培养意义重大。
本节课的设计通过两个活动来激发学生写作。
1.小组讨论:根据姐妹俩游记中对“温哥华”、“加尔各答”、“桑德湾某城”的描述,你最喜欢哪个地方?为什么?这个活动的设计旨在帮助学生有目的地深入阅读文本细节,交流探讨,发现语言对读者了解一个地方的影响,从而感受语言的魅力。
同时为详细分析温哥华部分的描写做准备。
2.展示金华地图。
观察,发现金华市也有这么一条由西向东横穿的铁路,作为金华本地人,请你为外国游客写一份铁路沿线的当地旅游介绍。
选一个你熟悉的乡镇或区域进行写作。
本节课最大的亮点是这个任务的设计。
严老师说:在备课过程中以“读写结合”为出发点处理了读的内容后,比较困扰的就是“写”的情境创设和任务设计。
基于情境真实性,任务实用性的原则,她想到了让学生介绍金华这个他们最熟悉最有话可说的故土。
原本只是想把地图给学生让他们介绍自己的家乡,但在仔细观察地图后,她发现恰好在金华境内也有这么一条横穿铁路,沿线分布着好多大的乡镇。
这样一来,可以帮助学生把课堂中横穿加拿大的体验与现实中横穿金华的体验进行对比,创设相似情境,设计实用任务。
05五、目标达成情况从课堂中学生反馈和生成来看,学生能够根据老师指导有侧重地阅读文本。
