Configuring the IBM Flex System EN2092 1Gb Ethernet Scalable Switch Prerequisites:∙One IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis, one IBM Flex System EN2092 1Gb Ethernet Scalable Switch installed in I/O module bay 1 or 2.∙An Ethernet network is already configured.Steps:Note: This process illustrates how to enable the switch ports through the Chassis Management Module (CMM) command-line interface. We recommend the use of a 2A power supply.4.3Raspberry Pi Input EventsIf you run into problems with dropped input events, try reducing the USB bus speed. First, update the Raspberry Pi firmware:$ sudo apt-get update$ sudo apt-get install raspberrypi-bootloader --reinstallThen, open /boot/cmdline.txt in an editor. On the same line as the other options add dwc_otg.speed=1. Save the file, run sudo sync, and reboot.This option drops USB speeds from 480Mb/s to 12Mb/s, which resolves issues with a variety of USB devices on the Raspberry Pi.4.4JavaFX Generic BugsAll editions of JavaFX, including the components provided with Oracle Java SE Embedded, exhibit the issues listed at this site: .4.5AWT Graphics BugThis bug applies to AWT graphics on certain configurations when rendering is performed through the xrender pipeline. There are some platform X11 bugs that can cause empty or partially empty windows running AWT (not Swing) applications.As a workaround, xrender is disabled by default in Oracle Java SE Embedded. If you want to test your AWT application to see if it runs without an issue, you can force xrender on with the system property -Dsun.java2d.xrender=true when you launch the application. The following steps describe the procedure to setup a local network DataPage+ Server. For example, a com pany has 3 CMMs with PC-DMIS. This local network DataPage+ Server will allow all 3 CMMs to send data to a centralized database. One of the CMM com put ers can be designated as the “Server” to collect data from the other 2 system s.
Install SQL Express on the “Server”
1.Enable SQL Server Authentication when install SQL Express
1)On the step of Authentication Mode during install SQL Express, select the Mixed Mode and
input a password (such as datapage) for sa
2.Enable Network Access for SQL Express
1)After installing SQL Express successfully, on the Start m enu, choose All Programs, point to
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Configuration Tools and then click SQL Server Surface
Area Configuration.
2)Click Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections.
3)Expand SQLEXPRESS and Database Engine, choose Remote Connections. On the right panel,
select Local and remote connections and Using TC P/IP only
4)Set the SQLEXPRESS service Automatic Startup and Start it, if the service is Running already
please Stop it firstly then Start it so that your changes on SQLEXPRESS can take effect.
5)Set the SQLBrowser service Automatic Startup and Start it, if the service is Running already
please Stop it firstly then Start it so that your changes on SQLEXPRESS can take effect.
3.Open the Port in Firewall
1)Open the Firewall on the server, and add sqlservr.exe and sqlbrowser.exe Program into the
Exceptions list. sqlservr.exe and sqlbrowser.exe could be found in the SQL Express install directory. Typically they are C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlbrowser.exe and C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\sqlservr.exe
4.Create Datapage database.
1)Run Datapage+ on the server, and then click Tools then Database connection.
2)On the dialog Database Connection Properties, click button Create Database.
3)On the dialog Create Local Database Wizard, input the Database name you want to create, and select the Path
in which the database file locate, and check “Create a database instance associated with local SQL Express” so
that create a instance at the same time. Then click Ok to close this dialog.
5.Now you can access the SQL Express through network.
1)Run Datapage+ on the client, and then click Tools then Database connection.
2)On the dialog Database Connection Properties, check the 3rd option Use database connection string, then click
Build.
3)On the Connection Properties Dialog, input ServerIp\SQLEXPRESS as the Server name, and check Use SQL
Server Authenication, and input sa as User name, and input the password you have set when install SQL Express, and check Save my password, and check Select or enter a database name, and select the database name you
created on the server. You can click Test Connection to test the database connection if you want.
Once the “Server” has been setup for data collection, user must create ODBC data source locally on the other 2 CMM com puters to point to the network database (note, these 2 com puters do not need SQL Express installation if the m easurement data will always be sent to the network database). To do this, go to Start-Control Panel-Administrator Tools-Data Sources (ODBC)-User DSN
Select ADD-Highlight SQL Server
Then select Finish
Enter Data Source Nam e (anything you like), description (optional), most im portantly enter the Network Server IP Address\SQLEXPRESS (EX. 192.168.1.8\SQLEXPRESS) in the Server field.
Select Next
Select With SQL Server Authentication Using a login ID and Password entered by the user
Enter the Login ID: sa (this is autom atically assigned user account when installing the SQL Express) Enter the Password: sam e password as the “Server” during the SQL Installation process
Check Change the Default Database to: TEST (the database on the Server; it will show up in the drop down list)
Select Next
Select Test Data Source
Now this Data Source is available as the selection in PC-DMIS-Insert-Statistics Command-DataPage+-Data Source for version 2009 and higher. So the users can send data from PC-DMIS to this network database.。
