Good afternoon, ladise and gentlemen,I think this is a great idea that everyone here to make a speech to share some ideas with other classmates, nothing could be better but except for our teacher could give everyone a full mark and I believe our dear teacher will do it.Come back to my speech, I’m going to talk a movie with you, which I believe everyone in this room ought to have watched for at least once. This is a classic movie and many people, like me, would insist this is the best movie without “one of”. No crime movies then even few until now could reveal the life of the criminals, in Godfather the mafia, like us normal people’s so much and figure these bad gangsters so respectful. When Don Vito tumbled in his tomato fields, we could even feel like the death of a great person but not a leader of a crime organization. That’s not important how you feel aboout the mafia, but I want to show you what a great job the film made to make the audience to fall in love with the gangsters.Our story could only occured in USA bur not about a classic American dream. Don Vito Conleone ownd the most powerful Mafia family in USA and was admired by others as Godfather, this was a sacred calling in the Christian religion but showed only the great power hold by Don here. His youngset son, Michael, was a college graduate who was decorated for his great job as a soldier during the world war II. He came back to hometown as a war hero with a kind girlfriend and was willing to become one of the social elite. However, while his father was attacked and his eldest brother Santino was murdered, he took over the duty of the family and became a new godfather, slso a criminal, a gangster.The movie got a great popularity among America and called up a widespread attention. When this movie was published in 1972, America was experiencing the Vietnam War and the thought wave of freedom and democracy. The people,espacially the youth, hated the corruption and the war extremely. An antihero movie which figured the gangsters in an objective way then was generally welcomed that even made people like the actual gangsters, which make the researchers suspected afterwards that this movie was produced by the actual mafia families, some people even declared that the producer was excatly the mafia gangster leader Carlo Gambino that who was thought as the model charactor of Michael Conleone and Al pacino, the player, followed this Don for three months to copy his way to speak and to walk and other habbits. Besides, the author of the movie，Mario Puzo was thought as a gangster in mafia because he knew so much about their secret life. Godfather the movie was completely happened in an independent world, the audience would come into there and ignore how the gangsters do evil in real life. We could only found these badmen as the normal people that made us watch and consider in the attitude of the charactors, because here are not any crimes that threatoned us normal people and the only cop in the film was a bad gay who was bribed by Don’s enemies. Don appeared as a respectful and honest person, he did justice for his friends and he obeyed the social morals that many people even learned some living principles from the old man and some lines of him to teach his youngset son was treat devoutly. Marlon Brando made this charactor a classic with so many skills like the cat and the tongue. Besides, the classic music and the highlight on every charactors told us so softly, godfather could have made a better world for us.。
