二、教学目标：
（一） 知识与技能目标：
1. 能正确的理解课文内容，朗读课文，程度好的学生可以表演对话。
2. 使学生了解美国的首都、所在的位置、语言、国旗以及美国的背景文化等，能听懂会说表示方位、询问等用语，并能在实际情境中初步学习使用。

（二）过程与方法：
1. 通过自我介绍、ppt展示，以及美国的地图等教具使学生了解美国所在的位置、首都等结合主题图使学生正确的理解课文内容。通过跟读录音、角色表演、pair wok 使学生能够正确朗读课文。
2. 通过ppt、图片、pair work ，操练等形式使学生能够听懂会说表示询问对方来自小学-英语-上册-打印版
小学-英语-上册-打印版 于哪里？并能做出相应回答的话题，以及通过练习能够听懂会表达美国的首都、美国的语言及美国所在的位置等，并在实际情景中初步学习。
3. 四会词汇借助语音，拼读、等训练方法，使学生达到听说读的程度。
4. 通过城市的代表性建筑并采用问答的形式，使学生理解和会读认读词汇。

1. 培养学生自主学习的精神与自信心。
2. 培养学生的求知欲。
三、教学重难点：

1. 能正确的理解课文内容，朗读课文.

1. Where are you/they from? 以及针对人称的不同回答。
2. America 和American 的区别和不同用法。

五、教学过程：
（一）Warming-up
活动一：情景问答
活动目标：为学习新课做准备。
实施方法与师生语言预设：
教师和学生之间进行情景对话，采用一问一答的形式。
T: When you meet the foreigner, what would you like to ask?
S: ……
T: Do you want to know where are they from?
S: …

活动一:学习新句型。Where are you from ? I’m from Beijing.
活动目标：学生能够初步感知询问某人国籍的句式：Where are you from? I’m from...，（其实对于五年级的学生来讲，对于此话题不陌生，学生们在练习时都能够回答的上来。所以在某种程度上这部分内容也是复习）
实施方法与师生语言预设：
1. 教师询问学生，学生用实际情况来回答。
T: Where are you from ?
S: I’m from……
2. 学生问老师, 然后老师进行回答。
S: Where are you from
T: I’m from……
3. 学生问学生，再回答。
S: Where are you from?
S: I’m from……
设计意图：通过师生、生生问答的形式，使学生学会此句型的使用，为后面的练习做铺垫。
4. 拓展练习。根据人称的不同变化，学生进行练习。（ppt出示不同的人称，使学生用Where are you from ? I’m from……,句型来进行不同人称的练习。）

活动二：学习新课文。
活动目标：初步感知课文内容，锻炼学生的听力，理解课文内容，并能熟练朗读。 小学-英语-上册-打印版

1. 教师出示中国地图，然后说：
T: I’m from China. You are from China, too. China is our motherland . Chinese
is our mother tongue. Beijing is the capital of our country.
2. 教师出示图片：
T: There is a girl. She is holding a flag. A woman is talking to her. Look
at the picture. Who is the girl? Who is the woman? What is the girl doing?
Now, listen to the tape.
3. 听录音，回答问题：（ 课文至少听两遍）
T: (1) What is the girl from ?
(2) What is her mother tongue? （出示词卡，学习新单词）
(3) Which city is the American capital ? （ 出示词卡，学习新单词）
S: (1) She is from America.
(2) English is her mother tongue.
(3) It’s Washington, D.C. It’s in the east of the United States.
解释：Washington,D.C, America 和 American
America: Sara is from America.
America is her motherland.
Washington,D.C. is the capital America.
American: Sara is an American girl.
The American people’s mother tongue is English.
4. 再听一遍录音. 同学跟读，注意语音语调学生在回答中反复记忆重点句与课文。
T: Listen and repeat.(2至3遍)
5. 开展Group Work，再找两组学生进行练习
T: Group work and act out the text.
S: Group work
6. 组织学生进行竞赛看看谁能表演对话。对于表演好的学生教师进行奖励。

活动名称（二）：创编对话
活动目标：用本课的重点句型进行创编对话练习。
