一.Analysis of teaching materials and students

The topic of this unit is closely related to our daily life. It can greatly

arouse students’ interest in learning.

Students in grade one are active in class. They like various games.

They’ve learnt some words about colour related to the topic.

二.Teaching aims

1. Enable students to read and understand the new words: shirt,

T-shirt,skirt, dress, shorts, socks.

2. Enjoy and say a chant.

三.Teaching key and difficult points

It’s important but difficult for students to set relationship among words’

form, sound and meaning. Some words are similar. Students might be

confused: shirt-skirt shorts/socks

五.Teaching procedures

(一)warm-up

1. Greeting 2. T: look, what’s this? Ss: It’s a wardrobe.

T:What colour is it? Ss: It’s yellow and blue.

(二)Lead-in

Look and guess.T: What’s in the wardrobe? Ss: shirt, skirt...

T: Open the wardrobe and say: wow! There are so many colorful clothes

here. Shirt, T-shirt... Today, we’ll learn Unit 6---Clothes.

(三)Presentation

1. Look at the picture on PPT and learn the words.

(1) Shirt listen and follow. spell the word: sh- ir t 

read in line/in groups ④There are many shirts. Which one do you

like? Ss: I like...

⑤find shirts around us

(2) Similar steps to learn other words

2. Practice

(1) Activity 1: say the chant

(2) Activity 2: Guess game

(3) Activity 3: Put on ...for the boy/girl(choose the right clothes for the

girl/boy)

(4) Activity 4: Colour and say

(四)Homework

1. Listen to the words and follow.

2. Say the chant. 3. Look at your own clothes and say : I like my ....
