从我上中学以来，就有人陆续到美国或是其他国家留学，而且从
那时起我就一直听说，只要在英语环境中，半年的时间就可以把英语
练得很流利，这也就是当时为什么很多人都希望在国内找个外籍教师
学英语的缘故。

但是当我在墨尔本生活了一段时间（不到一年）后，发现这根本
就是谣言，除非是花狠心特别用功练英语才有可能（英语水平本来就
很高除外）。

我的英语水平不高，也就雅思6分。

按说应该日常对话没有问题，但是刚来时，问个路都听不懂，在没有中文的帮助下，几乎办什么都
很困难，而且特别怕打电话。

记得第一次打电话开通水、点、煤气，
足足花了半个多小时，最后还是将信将疑，挂掉电话时手心已经全是
汗了，不知道电话那头的人怎样，是不是也被我弄得一头汗。

而且刚
开始很多不顺利，所以总要打电话，单是找Road service拖车一星期
内就叫了三次，我听得出来对方有点急了，可是我又说不清楚到底都
发生了什么。

有人说我可能还继续使用中文环境（在墨尔本完全做得到）造成的，但事实上我是尽可能抛弃中文环境。
