一、单数词变序数词

1. 在单数词后面加上-th，表示序数词。

例如：one → first（第一），two → second（第二），three → third（第三）。

2. 在以“e”结尾的单数词后面加上-th。

例如：five → fifth（第五），nine → ninth（第九）。

3. 在以“y”结尾的单数词后面去掉“y”，加上-ieth。

例如：twenty → twentieth（第二十），fifty →

4. 在以“ty”结尾的单数词后面加上-th。

5. 在以“n”或“r”结尾的单数词后面加上-th。

二、复数词变序数词

1. 在复数词后面加上-th。

thirtieth, fortieth 等表示整十的序数词，由相应的基数词将词尾y改为ie，再加th 构成。③ first, second, third 通常可缩写为1st, 2nd, 3rd。凡是以th结尾的序数词可缩写为“基数词+th”：4th, 5th, 9th, 11th, 60th, 128th等。
