(Whether in product function, product lines or product designs, etc.)Task 1●Ask the students to focus on the top 50 or 100 companies at home and abroad forobservation and summary of successful company innovation rules or principles.●Ask them to pay attention to those companies that went bankrupt, especiallythose failed after their enforcement of the innovative planes.●In either way, ask them to pay special emphasis on the year of the innovativeenforcement, the results that accompanied, especially the sales figures, market share, and the alike.Understanding the TextTask 3●Without referring back to Reading A, ask the students to review different meansof innovation.●Ask them to think of one example at least for each means.●Ask them to turn to Task 3 and finish the categories.Activity 1●Divide the students into 2—4 groups.●Assign them the quotes respectively.●Ask the students to surf on the internet or consult references in the library aboutCoco Chanel and Samuel Johnson.●Select representatives to present their findings, interpretations, and comments onthem.●The answers are open.
