Abstracts: English writing is an important language skill in language learning because it can
directly reflect learners’ overall language ability, showing their language proficiency. However,
“Chinglish”is a common phenomena in learners’ writing in China. The causes of Chinglish are
analyzed in three aspects: the inferences of mother tongue, the differences between cultures,
and the differences between language environment, and the types of Chinglish are classified in
linguistics. There are some solutions mentioned for further teaching.
