Lesson6 What make is it?
Step1. Warming up
Do you know greeting? When we see each other, we may say hello, or nice to meet you. When
we see a person first, we my say how do you do? When we see in morning, we may say good
morning, if we see in afternoon, we may say good afternoon; And we can say good evening if we
see at evening.
Today we are going to study about "greeting" and "introduction".
Step2. Look at the pictures: (ask and answer)
Where are they? (They are maybe in the classroom)
What's the man/teacher want to do? (He wants to introduce a student to others.)
Can you find some maps in the pictures?
(They are different kinds of map in the picture, like France, Germany, Japan, Korea, and China.)
Step3. First listening
Ok, let's listen to the tape, and find out the answer of the question " Is Chang--woo Chinese?".

Now you've heard the story. Is Chang--woo Chinese?

1. Good morning, Mr. Blake. (英语中常见的问候语)
回答: good morning.
根据一天见面时间的不同,还可以说good afternoon(下午好),good evening(晚上好)。或单独说morning/afternoon/evening也可以。
2. This is Miss Sophie Dupont.
"This is"后再加上你所要介绍的人的姓名,是一句正式的介绍用语。
西方,如果是许多你要介绍的客人, 往往遵循“先长后幼,先贵后轻”的原则。
3. Sophie is a new student.
(1)New:(adj.)新的 New Year新年(世界各国的新年时间不同)/
news新闻(u/n)a piece of news一条新闻。
(2)student (n.) 相关词组:study(v) 研究,学习。/college student 大学生
4. She is French.
French:(n/adj.)法国人、法语;法国的,法国人的
He is French. This is French house.
France(n)法国 France is famous for its wine.
German德国人,德国的---Germany德国
Are you German? Germany is a big country.
Japanese日本人,人本的------Japan日本
He is a Japanese. Japan is a small country.
2 Korean韩国的,韩国人------ Korea韩国 South Korea(韩国) North Korea(朝鲜)
Korean women are beautiful. Korea is a small country.
5. Sophie, this is Hans. He is German.
6. Nice to meet you. (用于刚与他人见面等非正式场合。)
答语:Nice to meet you, too.
正式场合初次见面用How do you do?
答语:How do you do?(注意,此句是问候语,并不是问句。)
7. And this is Chang-woo. He's Korean. Nice to meet you.
8. And this is Luming. He's Chinese. Nice to meet you.
9. And this is Xiaohui. She's Chinese, too. Nice to meet you.
too: adv. 也 You are student, and I am student too.(句末)
too much 太多 There is too much water.
also: 也 You are student, I am also a student. (句中)
either 也 You can't study English, I can't either.(否定)

1. 特殊疑问句
以疑问词who, what, when, why, where, how 等引导的问句。
Who are you? What's your name? When will you do?
Why do you do? How do you do? / How are you?/How old are you?/How old does
your father?
根据具体的情况回答。
2. 选择疑问句:提出两种或以上的情况,要求对方选一种情况回答的问句。
各种情况用or来连接。第一个选择用升调,最后一个用降调。
句型一:一般疑问句+or+被选择的情况?
Are you a worker or a student? I am a student.
句型二:特殊疑问句,+A or B?
Who are you, teacher or a mother? Mother.
3. 冠词----不定冠词: a/an
a/ an 表示“一”的意思,只可用在单数可数名词前。
a child an apple a cup
There is a cup and an apple in her hand.
a university a unit an elephant
a beautiful girl a handsome boy
