I am writing to express my dissatisfaction at the inefficient service I recently received in the electrical department of your store.
I have been learning the course of English at Leisure. So I bought a Sanyo radio cassette recorder (Model 1770K) from the store a month ago with which to listen to the course’s audiotapes. I used it carefully and followed the instructions exactly. But two weeks ago, I found the machine didn’t work properly as usual, and had destroyed two of my tapes. So I took the sales receipt, the guarantee, and the machine back to the store. I spoke to a shop assistant; however, the service offered by the girl was very poor. For one thing she kept me waiting for almost five minutes until she had finished chatting with another person. For another she even said that I was the one who should be responsible for the fault. Then a supervisor appeared and assured me that the problem of my recorder would be solved within two weeks. Then we completed the appropriate form.
I called to the store yesterday. The man who answered my phone only told me that I would have to wait a further week, and then he rang off without any explanation.
The recorder is essential to my study. So I have been greatly inconvenienced by the loss of my recorder.
