2. suggest的名词为suggestion，意为“建议”，是可数名词。

如：several suggestions几条建议；some suggestions一些建议。

辨异突破suggest与advise两者都是动词，且都有“建议”的意思。

共同点：1. 都可接名词作宾语。

2. 都可接动名词作宾语。

3. 都可接that宾语从句，that从句用should+动词原形，should可以省略。

不同点：1. advise可接动词不定式作宾补，但suggest不可以。

即：advise sb. to do sth. 建议某人做某事。

并列句中的分句均读降调。

并列句的句式为：简单句＋并列连词＋简单句。

使用不同的并列连词可以表示出并列句中各分句之间的不同关系。

(1)并列关系常用的表示并列关系的连词有and，nor等。

eg：I help her and she helps me. 我帮她，她帮我。

He does not do it，nor does he try. 他没有做，也没有尝试一下。

(2)转折关系常用的转折连词有but，yet等。

eg：He is very old but he is in good health. 他年纪很大了，但身体很好。

(3)选择关系常用的表示选择关系的连词有or，either…or等。

(4)因果关系常用的表示因果关系的连词有for，so等。

Module 8 Time off二.语法回顾宾语从句(一)宾语是句子的一个重要成分，它可以由名词、代词、名词短语或句子充当。

当一个句子充当宾语时，这个句子就称为宾语从句。

宾语从句与主句之间由从属连词来连接。

学习宾语从句，要注意三个方面，即引导词、语序和时态。

1．由连词that引导的宾语从句that在从句中不充当任何成分，只起连接作用，口语中常省略。

eg：I think (that) he'll be all right in a few days. 我想他几天后就会好了。

I'm afraid (that) you are wrong. 恐怕你错了。

I don't think (that) you are right. 我认为你不对。

2．宾语从句的时态(1)主句使用现在时态，从句允许使用任何时态，从句时态可与主句一致，也可由从句中的时间状语自行决定。

eg：I think you are right. 我想你是对的。

(从句用现在时与主句一致，同指现在)I'm sure that he is telling the truth.我确信他说的是真话。

(从句与主句行为同时发生，用现在进行时)(2)主句使用过去时，从句需使用过去时态的某种形式。

eg：I didn't think he was wrong yesterday.我认为他昨天没有错。

(从句有yesterday，用一般过去时)(3)如果宾语从句陈述的是客观真理、事实、自然状况等，其时态不受上述限制，用一般现在时态。

并列复合句并列复合句是指由并列连词and, or, but等把两个或两个以上的简单句连在一起而构成的句子。

并列复合句中，并列连词前后的简单句可以表示不同的关系。
