介词是一种“媒介”词，是用来表示句子中某一个词或短语与另外一个词或短语之间的关系的词。

一、表“在……时”的时间介词

用法 示例

in 表示较长时间，如世纪、朝代、时代、年、季节、

月及一般(非特指)的早、中、晚等。 in the 20th century,

in the 1950s, in 1989,

in summer, in January,

in the morning, in one’s thirties

on 表示具体某一天及对某一天的早、中、晚进行详细描述。 on May 1st, on Monday,

on New Year’s Day,

on a cold night,

on Sunday afternoon

at 表示某一具体时刻或钟点，有时也表示在某一节假日；若把一段时间看作某一时刻at 3:20, at Christmas, 时间介词

知识精讲 2 也可用at。 at the beginning of, at night,

at noon, at this moment

二、常见时间介词辨析

1. in和after

用法 示例

in “in +时间段” 表示将来的一段时间以后，用于将

来时； My mother will come back in three

days.

after after+将来时间点” 表示将来的某一时刻以后,

用于将来时 She will appear after five o’clock

this afternoon.

2. since和for

用法 示例

since 表示某动作或情况持续至说话时刻，后接表过去

的句子或者是过去的时间点，通常与完成时连

用。 1. They have lived here since 1978.

2. They have lived here since I was

ten years old.

for 表示动作延续贯穿整个过程，后接时间段，主句用完成时。 I have studied English for two

years.

3. by和till/ until

用法 示例

by 表示时间，指“到……以前”、“到……时（为止）”，此时要注意它所连用的时态 I had learned 1000 English words

by the end of last term.

until\ 1. until/ till表示“直到……” 表示动作持续到什1. I will work here until six o’clock. 3 till 么时候，常与表示延续性的动词连用；

2. not…until… 表示“直到……才……”，常与表示瞬间性的动词连用。 2. The noise of the street didn’t stop

until midnight.

时间介词是中考的考查重点。时间介词的中考题主要以单项选择以及完形填空等题型来考查。

注意：during 表示事件发生在何时（when），意为“在……期间内”的行为或状态。in 表示时间段，相当于during，但是注意在选择的时候一定要优先选择during。

例：They visited many cities during their stay in China.

他们在中国期间，游览了许多城市。

A本题的四个选项都可以放在表示时间的单词(组)前面，in，on，at往往在时间点的前面，for往往引导一个时间段。1997年7月1日是一个具体的时间，在具体到某一天，用介词on。
