完形填空主要考察如下几方面的能力:
1、理解文章的主旨和大意
2、明确上下文的关系
3、词义辨析
4、推理判断
5、词语搭配
6、作者的意图、观点和态度
(二)命题趋势
近几年的高考完形填空注重突出语篇的完整性,强调句与句、段与段之间的逻辑性,语法知识不再是考查重点。

在备考和平时学习中,要加强语言的实际应用,要注重各种文体的阅读。

2012年完形填空命题角度:
1、词义辨析和固定搭配:考查词义识别、同义词辨析及英语习惯用法
2、逻辑思维和推理判断:从语篇角度,即上下文和情景语境综合测试考生的阅读理解能力、逻辑推理能力和生活常识。

3、语法结构:考查语法规则的实际应用
二、方法规律
1、依据文章主题句(首句、尾句),判断主旨大意,利用主题句信息解题
它是了解全文大意的基石。
