Later, large corporations began to build their ownnetworks. All those networks finally joined the Pentagon’s network to form the Internet. By the1990s, anyone with a computer, a modern, and Internet software could link up to the Internet. In thefuture, the Internet will probably grow more complex and become part of a larger network called the information highway. Online banking offers you all the services available at your local bank, without fearing to be mugged at an ATM. You can buy almost anything, listen to your local radio station or do your grocery shopping.
