I love reading adventure stories and books about outer space!During the days, I plan to spend a ton of time outdoors. My neighborhood friends and I are going to ride our bikes all around the neighborhood. We'll have bike riding competitions to see who can go the fastest. I just got a new bike for my birthday, so I'll definitely be beating everyone! We're also going to pull our sleds up to the top of the big hill and sled down it over and over again. I hope it will be really hot out because my friends and I are obsessed with running through the sprinklers in our yards. We'll take turns chasing each other through the cold spray. It's going to be a wet, splashy good time!My family will be taking a camping trip too. We're going to load up the car with all of our tents, sleeping bags, camp stoves, and outdoors gear. We'll drive up into the mountains for a few nights. I can't wait to go hiking and explore all the cool scenery. I really want to try to find a waterfall or a cave to check out. My favorite part about camping is roasting marshmallows around the campfire at night though. I'll get to make s'mores until I'm completely stuffed. We're going to tell spooky ghost stories inthe dark too. I hope we spot out some wildlife while we're camping, but I don't want to see any bears!The best part of the whole summer is definitely going to be going swimming. My family has a membership to a big outdoor pool. I'll be there as much as humanly possible. My plan is to spend every single day cooling off in the water and playing pool games with my friends. We'll have underwater tea parties and see who can hold their breath the longest. I'm going to practice diving off the highest dive board too. Cannonballs will be my specialty by the time August rolls around! I can already envision the refreshing pool water and smell of the chlorine. Summer just isn't complete without pool days.In addition to all the playing I'll be doing, I'm also going to make sure I get some reading done over the summer. My goal is to read one chapter book every week. That way, my brain won't turn into total mush before the next school year begins. I might join the summer reading club at the library to help me stay motivated. Maybe my parents will even take me to get ice cream if I finish enough books.When summer starts winding down towards the end, my family usually takes a trip somewhere fun too. This year, we're thinking about going to an amusement park a few states away. I.Can't. Wait. to go on all the roller coasters! We're going to ride the fastest, loopiest, upside-downiest ones over and over until we're dizzy. I'll undoubtedly spend way too much money on junk food like cotton candy, caramel apples, and lemonades. Eating unlimited amounts of theme park sugar will be a dream come true for me. Going on all the wild rides and having my cheeks flapping in the wind is seriously going to be the highlight of my whole summer.As awesome as all my summer plans sound, there's a tiny part of me that will be sad when the season is over. I'm going to miss having endless freedom without any schoolwork or routines holding me back. At least getting to start a new grade and see all my friends again will be something exciting to look forward to. I'll just have to make sure I fill my last few summer days with as much fun as molecularly possible!。
