雅思考试分为两种类型，其一是学术类(A类)，其二是培训类(G类)。

雅思报名流程如下：1、注册成为教育部考试中心雅思报名网站用户。
如果您从未使用过教育部考试中心雅思报名网站，那么首先必须注册成为网站用户，并且提供个人基本信息、证件信息、联系信息并设置密码。
2、预存雅思考试费：选择好适合自己的雅思考试类型之后，可以使用支付宝或者首信易支付进行付费。
在支付成功的24小时之后，就可以登录教育部考试中心雅思报名网站，核实付费和报名状态。
3、选择雅思考位：成功将考试费预存到您在教育部考试中心雅思报名网站的账户后，就可以选择考试月份和城市了，也可以看到所对应考试日期的页面。
4、填写雅思报名表并确认付费：完成选择考位之后便可以点击“确认报名表并确认付费”，填写完报名表并提交之后，系统将提示您支付考试费(目前普通A类雅思的考试报名费是2170元人民币/次)。

注意事项1、姓名西方人的姓名与中国人的姓名正好相反，通常名(Given name，First name)在前，中间名(middle name)，姓(Surname，Last name，Family name)在后，所以在做这样的填表题时，一定要注意问什么答什么，不要填错信息位置。
而在考试中问name且没有展开的话，则问的是full name，考生应该掌握西方国家常见人名拼写，如在考试中曾出现过填写Helen，Kevin等人名。
对于不常见人名，录音中会将人名拼出来。
注意人名首字母一定要大写。
2、国籍一般在西方国家填写表格时，国籍写成名词形式还是形容词形式均可。
但在雅思听力考试中，国籍必须写成形容词形式。
在考试时，常以这样的形式引出答案：如从录音中我们听到“I was born in Poland”，转换成国籍则为“Polish”；“I come from New York”转换成国籍则为“American”。
3、地址首先我们应特别注意，西方国家地址表达方法往往以“从小到大”的顺序排列：House number&street name → Town/city → Country/State → Postcode → Country 英国的邮编是由字母、数字、字母混合而成的，如MK326KT。

雅思考试答题卡填写规范及注意事项雅思写作答题纸有两页，两张纸，其中第一张纸是写Task1的，分为正反面，第二张纸是写Task2的，也分为正反面，大家需要注意。
另外，考场的黑板上面有告诉考生怎么填写信息，监考老师也会引导着你填写信息，但是监考老师阅读考场规则和引导的时候说的都是英语。
