特别提醒
(1)the majority of后接名词作主语时,谓语动词的单复数取决于介词of后的名词,如果其为复数名词,则谓语动词用复数,如果其为单数名词或不可数名词,则谓语动词用单数。

•As we know, the majority of China’s surrounding countries are its trading partners.众所周知,大多数中国附近的国家都是它的贸易伙伴。
(2)the majority作主语时,如果强调整体,谓语动词用单数,如果强调其中的个体,谓语动词则用复数。
