美国留学奖学金评定标准近几年里有很多的学生都去了美国去学习，但在该国学习所需的花费还是很高的，那么这些学生就想申该国的scholarship来为自己和家庭减轻在经济上的难处。
该国的scholarship的评定标准是什么？和来看一下！因为国内学生能申的该国的scholarship只有那些在学习上有要求的，不能申那些私人的，所以在申的时候，摆在最前的就是grades和ranking了。
而在还没有去所申的该国的大学去学习之前，也就是在申该学校的时候就能申scholarship了，所以在申的时候，若是刚读完高中的学生，就看他的graduate rank；若是已经在读本科大学的学生，就看他的GPA的分数。
这个和申学校就是有差别的了，申学校不是这些很高就一定能申到，但在这个就是分数越高，越容易申到。
虽说摆在最前的是grades和ranking，但是国内的education和该国的还是有差别的，所以还要看TOEFL、GRE和GMAT。
GMAT和GRE还是没有差别的，但里面的TOEFL和它们的性质是有差别的，TOEFL是language test，在申的时候要看，但对能不能申到是没有帮助的，虽说没有帮助但也是要看的，最少也要满足申该学校时的TOEFL的分数要求。
而对申到起到帮助的是GRE和GMAT，所以在申的时候，只要让自己的TOEFL刚好满足就行了，但在那两个上，能高就高。
这就是申TA和RA的人所要满足的要求，申Fellow ship等那些是没有这个要求的，因为Teaching Assistant和Research Assistant 都是极为要工作经历的人才能做的事情，若是没有的话，在一开始是很难做的，那么在申的时候，有work experience的人是更能容易申到的。
更甚是该国的商学院基本是不接受没有工作经历的学生的。
看Reward的时候，不光是看在学校里面有没有得到过什么奖，也会看在学校外得到过什么奖。
关于举行“美国瓦尔帕莱索大学英语能力测试”的通知
为了便于学生申请参加我校与美国瓦尔帕莱索大学合作的国际项目，美国瓦尔帕莱索大学将于11月28日面向我校学生举行英语能力
测试，通过该测试的同学可直接申请瓦尔帕莱索大学，无需再提供托
福或雅思成绩。

美国奖学金考察总标准介绍美国奖学金总标准是考察个人的综合能力。
美国奖学金，我们按大类分，分为三类，第一类，是Fellowship. Fellowship意味着你是没有workload，也就是说是纯粹的奖学金，第二类是RA (Research Assistant)，这个一般是配套有一个导师来指导你的科研，简单来说，就是你给导师帮忙做工作，他给你pay一定的Stipend。
还有一类是TA(Teaching Assistant)，这类适合于那些口语比较好的同学，可能会在这个过程当中给老师做助教，帮他们批改作业，考试监考，可能还涉及到给他们特别是有实验科目的，像化学物理这种给他们under，做一些lab的tutoring，这一类的工作。
除了这三个大项以外，其实有一些学校还有一些小的奖项，比如说有一些纯粹的tuition waiver，或者是还有一些州立的学校会涉及到，虽然你并不是 resident，理论上你应该pay out of state tuition，但是因为表现比较好，可能会被waive 掉一部分的fee，你要pay in-state tuition，这种小奖项等等，就是说美国的奖学金从它的名目上面说比较多。
我们一般在作为入学的时候申请，是以前面三大类，Fellowship，RA, TA为主要的奖项，对于我们的学生来说，目前一般来说PHD，因为还涉及到研究工作，所以RA的可能性会大一点，并不是说PHD的学生一定有RA，只是说RA一般优先发给PHD 的学生，也就是为什么前面我们介绍那么多，其实拿到奖的主要集中在PHD的学生。
整体上Master的美国奖学金还是很少，但是并不等于没有。
所以如果能够在现有的条件下做很好的规划，美国人看中不只是你的GPA，他们更希望你是一个全面的人，奖学金的发放标准，虽然说各个学校的标准不一样，但总标准永远都是要综合考察个人的能力。
所以考察你能力就包括方方面面。
还是我们的那句话，早规划，早准备，早起的鸟儿有虫吃。

1.INTRODUCTION
This policy sets out the requirements of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) for the awarding of scholarships available for students.
The AIQS is a professional standards body. Through its leadership, standards and code of ethics, it ensures that practising members’ are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of professional excellence. The Institute is a national organisation with Chapters and Divisions in all States and Territories. It also has a strong overseas membership and is the Australian peak body to the International Cost Engineering Council and the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors.
2.SCHOLARSHIPS
The AIQS offers a number of scholarships for Year 12 students who qualify for entry into a Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management (Economics) or other appropriate course at an AIQS accredited university in Australia.
3.SCHOLARSHIP VALUE
The total value of the scholarship is AU$3,000. This includes the following:
∙ a monetary value of AU$2,000 (there are no restrictions on use);
∙AIQS published text books and manuals which are required reading for Quantity Surveying courses to the value of AU$1,000; and
∙Student membership with the AIQS
4.APPLICATION CRITERIA
To be eligible for scholarship, applicants must all of the following requirements:
∙be an Australian permanent resident;
∙be enrolled in Year 12 in Australia; and
∙achieved reasonable results in English and Maths units whilst in Year 11.
5.APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Application for a scholarship involves three components.
5.1 Complete the Scholarship Application Form. This must include certification from your Parent /
Guardian and School or College Principal.
5.2 Include a certified copy of the applicant’s Year 11 academic record, results and report.
5.3 Complete a 500 word essay on the following topic:
“Describe the role and services of the Quantity Surveyor (Project Cost Manager) and comment on the future of the Quantity Surveying profession.”
6.APPLICATION SUBMISSION
Applications must be submitted to the AIQS address or email details stated on the Scholarship Application Form. Applications must be received by the AIQS by close of business on the Closing Date stated on the Scholarship Application Form.
7.ACCEPTANCE OF SCHOLARSHIPS
Conditions apply to the acceptance of scholarships. These conditions are as follows:
7.1 The scholarship recipient must enroll and be accepted into a Quantity Surveying, Construction
Economics or Construction Management (Economics) course at an Australian University accredited by the AIQS. A list of these are available in the AIQS Accredited Tertiary Course Guide.
7.2 The scholarship recipient must successfully complete the first year of this course.
7.3 The scholarship recipient’s parent or guardian must guarantee to repay the scholarship t o the AIQS
if the recipient fails to satisfy conditions 7.1 and 7.2 above. Such repayment is to be made one (1) month of notification from the AIQS.
7.4 Scholarship recipients are expected to assist in promoting Quantity Surveying courses at Careers
Expos held in their relevant capital city.
8.PAYMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS
The AIQS will pay the scholarship amount to the recipient by cheque (or their nominated payee) and copies of relevant professional text books upon receipt in the AIQS National Office of a copy of the approved university Student enrolment advice which must identify the course being undertaken.。
