最终用户总是向我抱怨,每一次计算Oracle 软件许可证费用,都像是把自己扔到了一个深不见底的黑洞里。
这样说也许是有些夸张,但是许多企业都对此束手无策,尤其是打算签署长期使用协议的企业。
这也难怪Oracle 每季度发布的财报都会提到许可证收入又提升了几个百分点,Oracle 用户在购买软件许可时花费了大量的资金,但昂贵、死板的技术支持和许可证费用也成为他们抱怨最多的问题。
Oracle软件许可基本上是基于核心数来界定的,有多少核(Core )上运行了Oracle 软件,就需要支付多少相应的费用,然后再针对不同的处理器平台乘以一个不同的因数,有时是0.25,有时是1.0,得到一个最终的费用。
这一策略适用于Oracle 虚拟化、高可用性、灾难恢复以及软件开发等场景。
此外,Oracle 还提供了多种多样的合同选项。
你可以根据你的员工数以及整体收入来签署相应的合同,这种方式同SAP 相同。
另外还有一个就是无限制许可协议(ULA),当然还有其他的选项,但是目前大多数的企业是用的这两种方式。

在一个普通的中型ORACLE普通数据库(不包括RAC)的费用构成。
下面的数据引用国外一个博客网站的分析。
这是假设的条件。
存储采用普通中端存储,容量是10TB。
这个是价格的情况。
Oracle企业版的License是按照CPU的核数来计算的。
整个系统的价格组成,存储才占17%的总费用,而Oracle数据库的费用(包括License和服务)占比居然高达80%。
这个是中小企业的情况,虽然离谱,但还不算最高的。
但是,Oralce RAC情况。
一般来说,大企业都采用RAC,一般4个节点来提供高可用性。
假设的前提不变,只是容量从10TB变为20TB。
这是价格的情况。
这里配置了4台服务器,构建一个4节点的Oracle RAC集群。
这是价格的组成。
但存储只占总费用的8%,而Oracle的License和服务一共占据了总费用的89%。
从上面的分析可以看出,Oracle的费用一般占比超过80%,也就是它是整个投资里面最大的部分。
因此,如果选择了Oracle,那么只有购买尽量少的Oracle License,这样就可以减少很多License的费用,从而也减少了服务的费用。
而其他硬件,则尽量不要成为性能的瓶颈。
因此,节省成本的原则就是:1、采用最高效的CPU,尽量卸载各种处理到存储上,如重删压缩等;2、采用最快的服务器和全闪存阵列,让外部硬件不能成为瓶颈,充分发挥购买License的作用。
那么,如何选择最高效的CPU呢?Oracle的License是按照CPU和核数收费的,不同的处理器类型还有不同的系数。
很多厂商拿各种服务器在那里测试,你可以查到TPC-C的公开值,可以下载最新的TPC-C 结果,然后自己计算。

The system also manages approval processing, tracks purchasing transactions,manages inventory and resources, and tracks costs, accounting and financial transactions.Key Features and FunctionalityThe system handles the following main functional areas:360 Degree Search: allows users to search the entire system for assets, components,specifications, locations and contacts by various criteria.Home Page: The home page provides a comprehensive dashboard where you can accessinformation you need to review and complete your work. For example, the Main tab can beconfigured to display your key work areas; crews or buyers that you monitor, approval summary,your bookmarks or saved searches, and so on. Additional tabs provide easy access to informationand KPIs that approvers, planners, executives and others can use to review organizationalfunctions and complete their work.Approval Processing: One of the ways that the system simplifies and speeds up work is byrouting records when they require approval. Approval requests use approval profiles to determinethe properties and requirements for the approval. Approvers can use the Approval Dashboard tomanage the approvals that require their attention.Assets: Asset management provides functionality to track the purchase, repair and maintenance ofassets and asset components using general work management processing, preventive maintenancetechniques, purchasing processing and inventory tracking. The system also allows organizations torecord asset measurements and perform asset inspections in addition to the standard maintenancethat is performed on assets.Inventory: Inventory is tracked, ordered, and received from vendors and allocated in theInventory system. As inventory is allocated to work, the system passes this information back tothe Work Management system so that maintenance managers and crews know that their parts areavailable.Purchasing: Purchasing functions can be used to plan, initiate, and process purchases andpurchasing contracts. The system also manages vendors, designated buyers, and stock items.Resource Management: Resources encompass any object that contributes to the running ofyour organization. This includes crews and crew shifts, employees, equipment, contacts,documents, standard notes and attachments, and so on.Work Management: Work management is the process by which work orders are requested,approved and activated, work is performed and then work is finished and closed. While the workis being performed, materials, equipment assets and labor are tracked, as applicable to yourbusiness processes. The system also allows organizations to set up preventive and predictivemaintenance cycles including reliability centered maintenance.Accounting and Financial Transactions: The system tracks transactions that incur costsincluding purchasing and procurement costs, inventory and stocking costs, and the costsassociated with the labor, equipment and materials that are incurred when completing work.Please refer to the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management User’s Guide for moreinformation and details on using specific features.Oracle Utilities Application FrameworkThis release includes Oracle Utilities Application Framework version v4.3.0. The demonstration environment typically includes transactional datathat will be irrelevant to your production environment and can cause unexpected issues if it is notpurged correctly.
