在第一单元的对话中,来自中国的玲玲和来自英国的托尼对自己的家乡、小学和小学老师做了介绍。
学生在七年级上册学习过托尼介绍他的家乡的文章,借此可以引导学生复习回忆这一内容。
第二单元以贝蒂的口吻讲述了她在美国的家乡昆西小镇的生活。

As the school year comes to an end, I can't help butreflect on the journey I've taken this year as a seventh-grade English teacher. One of the highlights was teaching the unit on "My Past Life," which encouraged students to delveinto their own personal histories and share their storieswith each other. In this article, I'd like to share my experience teaching this unit and the impact it had on my students.Firstly, let me introduce the textbook we used - "My past life" from the seventh-grade English textbook. The unitbegins with a lesson on asking and answering simple questions about personal information, such as name, age, and birthplace. Then, it moves on to learning vocabulary related to family members and daily routines. The most interesting part for me was the parts about students' childhood. Here, students were encouraged to recall memories from their childhood and write about them, reflecting on how those experiences have shaped them into the person they are today.One of the most exciting activities in the unit was the oral presentation. Students were given the chance to present their stories in front of the class and showcase their storytelling ability. There were funny stories, touchingstories, and stories that made us all reflect on the ways our past has impacted us. One of my students, Lisa, stood out to me. Her story was about her grandma, who had a huge influence on her life. Listening to her story made me realize that simple everyday moments and interactions with loved ones can have a significant impact on someone's life.Another notable activity was the "family tree" project. Students were asked to create a visual representation oftheir family tree, starting with their grandparents and working their way down to their siblings. This was an eye-opening experience for some students, as they discovered relatives they had never heard of before and learned about their family's history. It was quite interesting to see how students discovered new things about their own families and how they took pride in sharing this newfound knowledge with their classmates.The final activity in the unit was creating a photo album or scrapbook. Using images and captions, students were asked to document some of their favorite moments from their childhood. It was heartening to see how much care and attention students putinto this project, and it was clear that they had enjoyed the process of revisiting those memories.Overall, teaching the "My Past Life" unit was an enriching experience for both me and my students.
