XC90 导航安装手册将司机座椅后移，将如图所示圆圈内螺丝饰板移除后将座椅螺丝移除。
将司机座椅前移，将座椅螺丝饰板移除后固定座椅后部的两颗螺丝移除。
将中控扶手左下饰板移除，将如图所示饰板一并移除（便于以后穿线）。
将点火开关置0档，等待3分钟断开电瓶。
将座椅座椅的侧板拆除，并将安全带与座椅松开。
将座椅的4颗螺丝拆除，并断开相关线束，将座椅从车上拆除。
将行李箱上方室内灯顶饰板移除，注意内部的连接线束不要损坏。

将主线束沿左后侧轮毂罩上方布置，在合适的地方用扎带固定。
线束沿左后门框进入前排座椅下方。
注意不要损坏红色的排水管将司机座椅下方地毯掀起后将主线束埋入座椅固定支架下方，布线时注意不要损坏线束。
主线束沿图示方向进入仪表台主线束经仪表台下方穿过到达中置喇叭安装位置，穿线时不要损坏线束。
将升降屏与支架固定好，连接好线束，在显示屏下方加上减震胶块后将支架固定在仪表台上。
安装时注意中置喇叭线束的连接以及升降屏与支架间间隙的调整。
将天线放到车顶尾部所示位置，线束沿车顶到达左后立柱，到达主机安装位置，中间用醋酸胶布固定。
将座椅重新装回原位，连接好线束。
将点火开关置2档，接上电瓶。
用遥控开机检测系统能否正常工作，正常后按照相反的程序将车辆恢复。

两种型号的发动机工作压力最大最小之间的差异均为0.2MPa。
1.2沃尔沃XC90发动机控制功能1.2.1沃尔沃XC90节气门控制功能沃尔沃XC90节气门控制采用电子控制单元其主要部件如图1-3所示图1-3 沃尔沃XC90电控单元图为确保节气门开度准确性沃尔沃XC90除安装有油门踏板位置传感器等传感器以外还使用了额外的讯号和参数以确保最佳的节气门压缩负载、变速箱负载的补偿,发动机温度控制等。
1.2.2点火控制采用延迟点火，延迟点火是为了改善汽缸壁上燃油膜的燃烧不良的状况，延迟点火会降低发动机效率，产生的热量用来加热三路触媒转换器（TWC）。
排气凸轮轴(涡轮增压发动机)延迟打开排气门使燃烧充分减少废气排放。
进气凸轮轴通过延迟打开/关闭进气门是重叠很少或者没有，在进气管设定压力差在汽缸压力较低的情况下使气体进入汽缸使ECU有时间控制燃油喷射量，精确控制燃烧，进气管始终保持一定压力，涡轮增压使进气管保持一定温度保证发动机始终处于最佳工作状态。
发动机中的机油容量（包括机油滤芯）为7.2L。
