1. 教师先列举一些已经学过的动词开头的句子。
如:Put the picture on the wall.
Close the window.
Take the second turning on the left.
告诉学生:这种动词开头的句子就是祈使句,它使用的场合就是当我们要告诉别人做什么时候
2. 介绍祈使句的否定式,就是在祈使句的开头加上…don‟t /do not‟.
意思是告诉别人不做某事。
如:Don‟t smoke in the room.
Don‟t bring your dog here next time.
有时为了显示说话的礼貌,通常会在祈使句的开头或结尾加‟please‟.
如:Please help me carry the heavy box.
Don‟t play in the street, please.

2.三个词的区别
…should‟ and …ought to‟一般可以互换使用,…had better‟ 在语气上比前两者更强力。
如:You should/ought to know a little about DIY.
You had better buy a new watch, this is broken
注意:…ought to‟ 和…had better‟ 变成否定式就是在ought 和had 后加not. 如:You had not better be late for the meeting.
You ought not to put so many books here.

1. Read and answer.

2. Read Suzy‟s diary entry and pay attention to some i mportant phrases
e.g. keep secret, help… with, start working on, finish doing, be happy with/ to do,
have fun doing, in the end, decide to do,
3. Write a diary about one DIY you did.
