1. Warming-up

1.1 Greetings

Greet the students and ask how they are feeling today and whether

they have any sports they like.

1.2 Self-introduction

Introduce yourself to the students and tell them something about

your favorite sports.

2. Presentation

2.1 Vocabulary presentation

Present the new vocabulary using flashcards or pictures and

encourage students to pronounce them correctly.

Words and phrases: run, jump, ride a bike, swim, play football, play

basketball, play volleyball

2.2 Dialogue presentation

Show the dialogue on the PPT and play the dialogue recording. Read

and explain the dialogue sentence by sentence, then ask the students to

listen and answer the questions.

Questions: - What did Nancy do yesterday? - Did she enjoy it? - Did

her friend run fast?

3. Practice

3.1 Vocabulary practice

Divide the students into groups and give each group a set of word

cards. Ask them to categorize the words into different sports and

explain the reasons.

3.2 Dialogue practice

Ask the students to practice the dialogue in pairs. Make sure they

understand the meaning of each sentence.

3.3 Role play

Divide the students into two teams and ask them to have a role play.

The first team acts as the questioner and the second team acts as Nancy. Questioner: What did you do yesterday? Nancy: I ran very fast.

4. Extension

4.1 Sports game

Divide the students into two teams and play a sports game using the

sports equipment. Ask them to describe what they are doing while playing.

4.2 Short video

Play a short video of athletes practicing sports in slow motion. Ask

the students to observe the details and describe what they see.

5. Summary

Summarize the key points of the lesson and ask the students to

review the new vocabulary and the dialogue.

6. Homework

Ask the students to write a short paragraph about their favorite

sports and describe how they play.

六、教学反馈

Give students feedback on their performance in class and some

individual suggestions on how to improve. Ask them to review what they

have learned in order to consolidate their knowledge.

七、教学反思

In conclusion, the lesson was successful in helping students learn

and practice new vocabulary words and phrases related to sports. The

role play activity was also very effective in building teamwork and

communication skills. However, more time could be spent on describing

sports scenes and emphasizing correct pronunciation. In future lessons,

it would also be helpful to incorporate more interactive activities such

as games and videos.
