Dear Prof.
I just finished my Ph.D at University of Oslo this April. I have been studied in plant molecular biology and plant genetics during my Master and Ph.D, I would like to learn and do more research in your lab (starting earliest September 2011).
I have studied my MS in South Korea, from when I started to work and do research on cell-to-cell communication in Arabidopsis, especially on the mechanism of cell-to-cell trafficking of small interfering RNA. After my MS, I spent about 8 months at Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology to study host-microbe interaction. During my Ph.D, I studied cell-to-cell communication on peptide signaling in cell separation, and I have focused on the downstream of IDA (a peptide ligand controlling floral abscission) signaling pathway in floral organ abscission.
I am able to work alone or as a part of a team. I am able to work hard, and I love the new challenges. I am also eager to learn new things. I am very interested in development, and signaling transduction. However, I am allergic to pollen. I would like to use my known knowledge to expand my knowledge other system, such as zebrafish.
I hope that the above experiences, knowledge and skills make me convenient for filling a vacancy in your lab.
Yours Sincerely,
August 17, 2011。
