课堂讨论话题选择,也谈课堂讨论题目的选择技巧:务实+务虚
要使课堂讨论收到理想的效果,课堂讨论话题的选择是一项很重要的工作。
课堂讨论话题跟其他种种形式的讨论题目(如团队活动、各科兴趣小组活动的题目等)不一样,他是受课教学的目的、要求制约的;加上组织学生讨论,要花费较多的教学时间,因而选择讨论题目要慎之又慎。
讨论题目如果游离于课堂教学内容之外,或者与课堂教学内容虽然有一点关联,但联系不是很紧密,那么,即使题目能够使学生产生浓厚的兴趣,也是不足取的——因为课堂讨论不是目的而仅仅是一种有利于学生进行积极思维,以便更好地掌握教学内容的方法和手段。
教师组织学生进行讨论时,一定要紧紧握住这一宗旨不放,实施“讨论教学法”,教师选好题目是获得成功的关键。
适合整堂课让学生讨论的题目必须同时符合以下三个条件:
1、处于教学内容中的重点兼难点(两者缺一不可),光由教师讲解不少学生难以理解透彻;
2、绝大多数学生对之都怀有比较浓厚的兴趣(即教师不作多大努力,题目本身便能吸引他们);
3、能拓宽他们思维的事业,通过讨论能使他们在加深理解教学内容的同时,在思维方法等方面也能得到较多的启迪。
与光听老师讲解相比,课堂讨论这种方法显然更有利于学生学习的主动性和积极性的发挥,因为课堂讨论时以学生我主体的,每个学生都有自由表达自己看法和间接的机会;同时每个学生又都要认真地听取其他同学的发言,以便及时得到反馈的信息,及时调整自己的看法和间接,然而同时也应该清楚地认识到:教师在学生讨论的整个过程中起着不可缺少和至关重要的作用,因为学生进行讨论,不是他们自发的行动,二是自始至终在教师的具体教导下进行的。
要使课堂讨论顺利进行并取得较好的效果,教师应在学生开始讨论之前,做好多项准备工作,简言之,既要“务虚”,又要“务实”。
先说“务虚”:一要想方设法创造符合教学目的、要求的条件和环境,以使他们展开积极的思想活动,二是要有意识地、坚持不懈地培养和提高学生的“讨论素质”,如怎样用概括的语言准确地表达自己的观点,怎样组织、运用充分而又有说服力的材料来证明自己的观点,反驳不同观点时怎样做到以理服人,不“戴帽子和“打棍子”等。
再说“务实”:教师除选好课堂讨论话题外,还应做好两项具体工作:一是“物色”好组长,事先开一次组长会议,告诉他们应如何紧扣教学内容和教学目的、要求主持好讨论,特别应教会他们讨论过程中其他同学不发言(“冷场”)或乱发言(“开无轨电车”)时该怎么办;二是
在各个小组中安排好一个学生作中心发言(可以是组长,也可以是组员),这样可避免在中心发言开始时出现你推我让的局面而浪费时间。
