本课时以Part A中的Let’s learn局部为主,并借助Part C中的Let’s say局部进行练习和稳固。
本单元学习和讨论的话题是有关人物特征的描述,关于这个话题在本单元所涉及的主要的四会词汇有:aunt, uncle, kid, friends, thin, strong, old, young; 语言功能结构是学习如何描述人物特征:She es from the USA. She speaks English and she can speak a little Chinese . She looks tall and thin . She likes sports . She can run very fast . She looks very beautiful in the red dress .本课教学内容贴近学生生活,比拟容易让学生承受,旨在让学生通过所学词汇及句型能灵活地描述人物特征。
一、创设语境激趣导入课前师生拍手齐唱英文歌曲:Apple round, apple red.创设轻松、欢快的语言学习气氛,以圣诞节即将来临为话题,小天使来和大家玩游戏设置悬念:课前我让班上一位又高又瘦的女孩站在门外,使用以前学过描述人物的句型:She is a tall girl. She has two big eyes. Her nose is small. Her hair is black . Who is she ?让大家猜一猜,是班上的那位女同学?当有同学猜出是谁时,我让大家闭上眼睛,集体数:One, two, three.随手翻开门请那位女同学站在讲台前,下面的同学睁开眼睛,我随机提问: What does she look like?引导学生答复:She looks tall and thin. 通过手势描述这位女同学的外貌,并让下面同学跟老师一起重复:She looks tall land thin.这样潜移默化的引导,不用传统教学的汉语翻译,学生立刻明白所说句子的含义,通过热身环节,既复习稳固了以前学过的描述人物的词汇,也巧妙地渗透了新学词汇,有效调动了学生学习的好奇心,和积极性。
