Next, I’d like to introduce a reading passage about my hobbies. Follow

along as I read it out loud.

In this passage, I talked about my three favorite hobbies — painting,

playing the guitar, and reading. Can you tell me which hobby I like best?

That's right. Painting is my favorite hobby. Now, I’m going to

demonstrate how to describe my hobby in more detail. (Show a picture of your artwork or a painting you like)

Look at this painting. Can you tell me what colors I used?

(Allow students to respond)

Yes, I used blue, green, and yellow. These colors represent the ocean,

the grass, and the sun. Next, let me show you how to use some adjectives to

describe the painting.

(Write the following adjectives on the board: calm, peaceful, and

beautiful.)

These adjectives can be used to describe my painting. For instance, the

blue ocean looks calm and peaceful, and the sun looks beautiful.

groups, and each group will create a poster about one of the hobbies we just

learned. Be creative and have fun!
