两者进行比较时用比较级，其标志性词语是“than”。

1.构成：分为规则变化和不规则变化注意：在动词后加后缀ing或ed构成的形容词，其比较级在前面加“more”，例如：exciting---more excitinginterested---more interested在形容词后加后缀ly构成的副词，其比较级也在前面加“more”,例如：quickly—more quickly; cheaply---more cheaply现场练兵：写出下列单词的比较级small tall nice fine bigthin hoteasy healthy funny beautiful relaxed quietly comfortably2. 用法（1）.表两者比较a. A + be + adj. （比较级）+ than +B(主格/宾格)eg. I am taller than you.b. A + V. + adv. (比较级) + than + B(主格/宾格)eg. I run faster than he/him.C. A + V. + adj. (比较级) + n. +than + B(主格/宾格)eg. Her has longer hair than me.注意：当两者进行比较，且句中有“of the two”时，比较级前要加“the”，例如：He is the fatter of the two.(2).“越来越···”a. 单音节词和部分双音节词：比较级+and + 比较级eg. better and better 越来越好bigger and bigger 越来越大b. 多音节词和部分双音节词（即比较级需要加“more”的形容词或副词）eg. more and more interesting 越来越有趣more and more beautiful 越来越漂亮（3）.“越···，就越···”The + 比较级，the+比较级eg. The more, the better. 越多越好The more we get together, the happier we will be.我们相聚的越多，我们就越开心。

（4）.表示两者相同a. A+be +as +adj.(原级)+as +Beg. He is as tall as Tom.b. A +V. +as +adv.(原级)+as+Beg. He runs as fast as Jack.（5）.表示一方在某一方面不及另一方not +as/so+ adj./adv.(原级)+aseg. It is not so/as warm as yesterday.He did not come as /so early as Tom.(6).比较级前可用程度副词修饰“两多（much/a lot）两少(a little/a bit)两甚至(even/still)还有一个远去了(far)”eg.
