2002年6月16日凌晨2时43分，北京市海淀区学院路20号石油 研究院内一家名为“蓝极速”的网吧突然起火。被网吧里传出 的呼救声惊醒的附近居民冲出家门，看到滚滚浓烟从28号楼2层 的“蓝极速”网吧的窗口涌出，几个年轻人正趴在上面拼命喘 气，随时有窒息的危险。由于窗口上都装着铁栅栏，他们无法 逃出，只有声嘶力竭地向楼下的人求救。

半梦半醒的居民目瞪口呆地望着这一幕，一些人立 刻冲回家打电话报警，另一些人则开始想办法营救 大火中的年轻人，但他们发现，网吧惟一的出口— —大铁门已被人从外面锁住。救人者与求救者隔着 铁门无计可施。大火仍在肆虐，2点55分，外面的 人已经听不到网吧里有求救声传出就是这牢笼一般 的“黑网吧”，一夜之间夺去了25条年轻的生命。
互联网 在未成年人中高度普及
第49次《中国互联网络发展状况统计报告》显示，截至2021 年 12 月 ， 我 国 未 成 年 网 民 已 达 1.83 亿 ， 互 联 网 普 及 率 为 94.9%，远高于成年群体互联网普及率，且低龄化趋势更加 明显。

2019年6月5日，北京永泰庄西路附近一网 吧内，23岁的男子小陈被发现昏迷不醒、 胳膊上出现红色斑痕，之后被120急救人员 确认已身亡。去世前，小陈在此通宵玩 DOTA游戏，被定 格的电脑页面显示 他战胜了对手。

四、网络成瘾的危害
苏州市中级人民法院曾做过一个调查，在 受理的601起未成年刑事犯罪案件中，一半 案件与网吧有关，三分之一案件与黑网吧 有关。也就是说，七成以上的青少年犯罪 与“网瘾”有关。

一、就个体而言 身体发展方面。网络成瘾者由于长期在网吧通宵达旦，忽视良好的睡 眠，顾不上吃饭，几个星期下来会出现容颜憔悴、情绪低落、思维迟 钝、腰酸背痛、头昏眼花、视力下降、免疫功能降低等现象。这也是 网络成瘾者普遍出现的症状，更严重的甚至会产生幻觉、猝死等。 学业方面。网络成瘾者，由于花费了大量时间和精力在网络上，对学 习的兴趣减少甚至消失，成绩急剧下降，出现厌学、逃学的现象，导 致学业荒废，因而被留级或退学。2007年，中科院心理研究所在全国 13所高校的调查显示，中断学业的大学生中有80%都是因为网络成瘾， 2004-2007年，由网络成瘾造成的留级、休学、退学的人数每年都有 一百多人左右。
