Unit 2 Don’t feed the ducks!
一、Aims:
1. Through this lesson, get the students to grasp imperative sentence:
“Don’t……!” “Wear……!”
2. Enable the students to use imperative sentence fluently and correctly.
3. Enable the students to cooperate with each other.
4. Cultivate the students to have a good habit of learning English.

1. Key point: a. Key words: “duck, grass, silence”.
b. Key sentences: “Don’t feed the duck! Wear your hat! Silence!”
2. Difficult point: How to use imperative sentence fluently and correctly.

I. Warming up and Revision
1. Greetings.
2. Have a race: (The fastest is the winner.)
T: According to the text, I’m going to say one
word from an instruction in the book. You have to
listen carefully and say the complete
instruction.
Example: T: Wash.
T: Cut.
II. Leading-in
T: Open the books, please. Turn to Page4
Look at the pictures. Where are they?
T: Very good. What do ducks eat in the park?
T: Can we feed the ducks in the park?
Can we touch the machines?
Can we talk or write in the book in the library?
T: Let’s look at Unit 2 and find out the answers.
1. Say ‘Hello’ with teacher.
2. S1: Wash the potatoes!
S2: Cut the potatoes!
S1: In the park.
S2: In the factory.
S3: In the library.
Answer freely.
Think over these questions and
find out the answers hurriedly.

1. Play the tape.
2. According to students’ questions, show the key
words: duck, grass, silence.
Attention: Compare the sound of grass and glass
3.Show the key sentences:
“Don’t feed the duck! Wear your hat! Silence!”
4.Play the tape.(twice)

1.Have a race in pairs: “Change game”

1. Recite the sentences of SB Part 1.
2. Make some signs for our school. 1. Listen to the tape and then
answer the questions

two by two, row by row)
3. Say them and do the
actions.(play the game)
4. Listen to the tape and repeat.
