1Summer Holidays: The Best Time of the YearAh, the summer holidays! The time when school is out and we kids can just relax, have fun, and not worry about homework or tests for a while. It's the best part of the year if you ask me. Let me tell you all about why I love the summer holidays so much.First off, no more waking up super early to that annoying alarm clock blaring in my ear. During the school year, I have to drag myself out of my warm, cozy bed at some unreasonable hour like 6:30am. But in the summer, I can sleep in as late as I want! My parents might eventually come yelling at me to get up, but at least I don't have that jarring alarm making my heart jump out of my chest first thing in the morning.Speaking of mornings, they're so much more relaxing in the summer too. No more rushing to get dressed, gobble down a quick breakfast, and race out the door. In the summer, I can take my time, maybe watch some TV while eating a bowl of cereal. Or if it's a really hot day, I can even start things off with a refreshingpopsicle for breakfast! My parents might give me a hard time about that, but hey, it's my summer vacation. The days are just so much freer and more laid-back in the summer as well. Sure, sometimes my parents will make me do some chores around the house or go somewhere boring with the family. But a lot of the time I can just hang out with my friends, riding our bikes around the neighborhood, having water balloon fights, or playing pick-up games of basketball, soccer, or whatever at the park or schoolyard. And can you believe how late it stays light out in the summer?I remember last year, some of my buddies and I would still be out messing around until like 9pm because it didn't really get dark until after that. We'd only come back home when our parents threatened us with being grounded for a week! Such awesome summer memories. Then there are the summer camp adventures, which are always a total blast. Getting to spend a week or two away from home, doing all sorts of amazing outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, canoeing, archery... You name it, we did it at camp. I'll never forget the time this huge storm hit our camp and we had to all huddle inside our cabin, telling scary stories by lantern light.Or that camp trip to the creek where we spent hours catching crayfish. So much fun!And who could forget the best part of summer - NO SCHOOL! Don't get me wrong, I actually like school okay. Most of my teachers are cool, and I've got some good friends in my classes. But sitting at a desk for all those hours, having to follow a million rules, and constantly stressing about tests and assignments? No thanks, I'll pass. Give me the freedom of summer any day.The summer means plenty of time for just vegging out too. Sleeping in real late, then lounging around in my pajamas until noon, playing video games or watching TV shows and movies. Leaving a total mess in my room that I never have to clean up because hey, it's summer vacation! And let's not forget about all the live sports that are on in the summer - baseball, tennis, golf. I love kicking back with a big ol' bowl of chips or ice cream to watch those. Then of course, there are the summer trips and vacations. Every year my family takes at least a couple fun trips during the summer months. We've gone camping in the mountains, spent a week at a lakehouse, visited amusement parks and museums, you name it. This summer we're actually taking a big road trip allthe way out to the Grand Canyon, which I'm super psyched about. Can't wait to see that huge natural wonder! However, I think my very favorite part of summer is just the general feeling of freedom and having absolutely zero responsibilities. No schoolwork, no rigid schedule, nothing I HAVE to do except whatever sounds fun in that moment. Want to spend all day playing video games? You got it. Want to ride bikes with friends until well after dark? No problem. Have a massive sleepover and watch movies all night? Why not! Summer is just pure awesomeness.I definitely get antsy and bored towards the very end of summer though, especially when all my friends have already gone back to school before me. That's when I start looking forward to going back, seeing my pals again, and getting into new subjects and activities. But those first few weeks or even months of summer? Simply amazing. No homework, no tests, no rigid schedule. Just non-stop fun, freedom, and amazing memories. So yeah, I'd say the summer holidays are pretty much the ruling best time of the whole year, at least for us kids. Teachers and parents might feel differently, but for me and my friends, those summers of playing from morning till night, staying up late, and having adventures galore? They just don't get any better than that. I'll never stop counting down the days until school lets out for that glorious summer vacation!篇2The Best Holidays EverHolidays are the greatest times of the year for me! I love getting time off from school and being able to relax and have fun. My family and I have gone on some really amazing trips for holidays over the years. I'll never forget the incredible adventures we've had.My favorite holiday of all is definitely Christmas. There's just something magical about that time of year. The twinkling lights, delicious treats, fun movies, and of course, presents galore! Every year, my family and I decorate our whole house with lights, tinsel, ornaments, and a huge tree. We make batches of Christmas cookies to give to our neighbors. And on Christmas Eve, we go look at all the beautifully lit up houses in our neighborhood. On Christmas morning, I wake up so early, burst into my parents' room, and yell "Santa came! Santa came!" We all race downstairs to see the presents under the tree. I tear through the wrapping paper, trying all the new toys and games. The best partis that my parents always get me exactly what I wanted that year. One year, it was a puppy! After playing with our new toys, we have a big breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and hot chocolate. In the afternoon, my aunts, uncles, and cousins come over for our annual Christmas feast. We have a huge turkey dinner with all the trimmings - stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, veggies, and pie for dessert. My favorite is the pumpkin pie! After we're stuffed from the incredible meal, we play games, watch Christmas movies, and just enjoy being together. It's always such a warm, festive day full of love and laughter.Another holiday I really enjoy is the 4th of July. My town has a fantastic parade and fireworks show every year. A few days before, my siblings and I decorate our bikes with red, white, and blue streamers and pinwheels. On the 4th, we ride our bikes in the big parade, waving American flags. After the parade, we have a cookout in our backyard. We grill up juicy hamburgers and hot dogs and make homemade ice cream. Yum!Once it gets dark, we head over to the high school football field and find a great spot on the grass to watch the fireworks show. I'll never forget the first time I saw those brilliant colors burst across the night sky. It was breathtaking! The entire show ischoreographed to patriotic music. Bombs bursting in air, glittering sparkles raining down...it's just magical. When the grand finale happens and the sky is filled with a dazzling array of fireworks, everybody cheers. It fills me with pride and joy to celebrate America's birthday.Thanksgiving is another fun holiday at my house. A few days beforehand, my mom, sisters, and I spend hours baking pies - pumpkin, apple, pecan, you name it! The wonderful smells fill the house. Then on Thanksgiving day, we watch the big parade in New York City on TV while prepping side dishes like mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and more. When my aunts, uncles, and cousins arrive, our house is bursting at the seams! Us kids run around chasing each other and playing games while the adults cook up a gigantic feast. We'll have two huge turkeys, a ham, all the sides, breads, and what seems like a million pies and desserts. My favorite part is my aunt's famous sweet potato casserole topped with gooey melted marshmallows. Yum!After we stuff ourselves silly, we go around the table and everyone shares what they're most thankful for that year. Despite how crazy my family can be, it's times like this that make me feel so grateful for all of them. Once our food comas start to wear off,we kids head outside for an epic game of touch football in the backyard. It's always such a nice day spent focused on family, food, and fun!Summer vacation is pretty much one long holiday lasting about three glorious months! My siblings and I are total beach bums during the summer. We'll pack a cooler full of sandwiches, fruit, and ice pops then spend entire days building sandcastles, splashing in the waves, and working on our tans. We have so many silly memories of beachside adventures - getting knocked over by huge crashing waves, looking for cool shells and sharks teeth, and burying each other up to our necks in the sand. No matter how old I get, I'll never get tired of those lazy, hazy days by the ocean. When we're not at the beach, we stay up late watching movies, making s'mores around the backyard fire pit, or organizing big neighborhood games of capture the flag, kickball, or hide-and-seek at the park. Sometime during the summer, we'll take a family road trip, too. One year, we drove all the way to the Grand Canyon and stopped at quirky roadside attractions like the World's Largest Bowling Ball and the Cadillac Ranch along the way.篇3Summer Vacation AdventuresWow, what an amazing summer vacation I just had! It felt like it went by in the blink of an eye, but I had so many fun adventures. Let me tell you all about it!The first week of vacation, my family went on a road trip up to the mountains. We drove for hours and hours, playing games in the car and stopping for snacks along the way. When we finally arrived, I was in awe at how beautiful and green everything was. The trees seemed to stretch up towards the sky forever! We stayed in a cute little cabin right by a sparkling lake. Every morning, I liked to go down to the water's edge and skip rocks across the glassy surface. My little brother and I had competitions to see who could get the most skips. He usually won since his arm is stronger than mine. No fair!During the days, we went on lots of hiking trails through the woods. I loved breathing in the fresh, pine-scented air. We spotted all kinds of cool wildlife too - chipmunks, deer, even a black bear from really far away! My dad is a great naturalist and taught us the names of different plants and trees we saw. I tried to remember as many as I could. One day, we drove up even higher into the mountains to go whitewater rafting. I was a little nervous at first, but our guide helped us all get secured in the big rubber raft with our life jackets on. Then we were off, crashing through the rushing rapids! I got drenched from head to toe by the splashing water, but it was a blast. We saw an eagle soaring high overhead while we were floating along. What an incredible sight.Another big highlight was going horseback riding through the forest one afternoon. The horses were so well-behaved and seemed to just know where to go, even on those narrow mountain trails. Riding on their backs made me feel like a real cowboy or cowgirl from those old western movies. I could look out over the valley below from up high in the saddle. Absolutely breathtaking! On the way back home from the mountains, we stopped for a night in a big city to go see a baseball game. I'd never been to a major league stadium before. It was huge, with the bright lights shining down on the perfect green field. We had seats really close behind home plate, so we had a great view of all the action.I tried to keep score in the program just like the pros. When we finally made it back home, I crashed hard after all that adventuring and slept like a log. But there was still plenty ofsummer left to look forward to! For the next few weeks, I went to a day camp at the rec center, where we went swimming, did arts and crafts, played sports, and had fun with friends. I never got bored for a single second.About halfway through the summer, my cousins from across the country came to visit for almost two weeks. We always have such a blast together. We made up games, put on shows and performances for our parents, went to the movies, had sleepovers, and just goofed around nonStop. Those are some of the memories I'll cherish forever. When my cousins had to go back home, I was sad, but there was still more summer left to enjoy! My parents signed me up for a baking camp where we learned to make all sorts of sweet treats like cookies, cupcakes, pies, even fancy pastries. I don't know if I want to be a chef when I grow up, but it was so satisfying to make delicious creations from scratch. And I got to eat plenty of samples too!In the last few weeks before heading back to school, we tried to squeeze in as much fun as possible. We went to the beach, had backyard campouts under the stars, went to fairs and festivals almost every weekend. My friends and I ran through the sprinklers and had epic water balloon fights to beat the heat. Westayed up late watching movies and played tons of video games. Basically, we soaked up every second of freedom before that early morning school bell would start ringing again. Now that I'm back in class, I definitely miss those lazy days of summer. But I had such an unforgettable few months full of adventures, quality family time, and wonderful memories made. This was a summer vacation I'll never forget! Now, to start counting down the days until next year's...篇4My Favorite HolidaysHolidays are the best times of the year! I love when there's no school and I get to relax and have fun. My favorite holidays are Christmas, Halloween, and summer vacation.Christmas is probably the most exciting holiday. I love decorating the tree with my family and hanging up lights outside. My siblings and I make paper chains and cut out snowflakes to hang around the house. It looks so festive and magical! The best part of Christmas is getting presents, of course. I try to be really good in the weeks leading up to it so I'll get lots of cool toys and games. On Christmas morning, I wake up superearly and run to see what Santa brought. After opening all the gifts, we have a big breakfast with cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate. Yum!In the afternoon, my cousins come over and we play with our new toys together. We also build gingerbread houses which is always messy but fun. At night, we get to open one present from our parents. I'm already counting down the days until next Christmas!Another holiday I really enjoy is Halloween. I love dressing up in a costume and going trick-or-treating to get free candy! Every year, my friends and I try to come up with the most creative costumes. One year I went as a robot, another year I was a zombie cheerleader.A couple weeks before Halloween, my neighborhood gets decorated with spooky decorations like ghosts, cobwebs, and jack-o-lanterns. On Halloween night, everyone gathers to show off their costumes and then we go around knocking on doors yelling "Trick or treat!" We come home with pillowcases overflowing with candy. After trick-or-treating, we have a small party where we bob for apples, tell scary stories, and have a contest for the best costume. Halloween is just an all-around super fun time!My absolute favorite holiday, though, is summer vacation. Three months off from school?? Yes, please! I sleep in late every morning and have zero responsibilities. My days mainly consist of swimming, riding my bike, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. Pure bliss! Some of my best childhood memories are from summer. I went to camp a couple years and had an amazing time canoeing, hiking, and making s'mores over the campfire. My family also takes a beach vacation every summer. We relax on the beach, jump waves in the ocean, and build awesome sandcastles. We explore the beach town, go mini golfing, and eat lots of ice cream! At night, we watch the gorgeous sunsets over the water. Sometimes we'd have a bonfire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. Those are the kind of perfect summer nights I'll reminisce about when I'm older. Summer definitely goes by too fast, but I try to soak up every minute of fun in the sun before school starts again. While I do like school and seeing my friends every day, I absolutely live for the holidays and breaks. Those are the times I get to recharge, be lazy, and just have a blast. Holidays make me so happy and I cherish every single one. I can't wait for the nextholiday to come around so I can make more wonderful memories!篇5Holidays – The Best Time of the Year!I just love holidays! They are definitely the best time of the year for me. School is off and I get to sleep in late, play video games all day, and just hang out without having to worry about homework or tests. It's like a awesome break from the stresses of being a student. My favorite holiday by far is summer vacation. When that final bell rings on the last day of school, I feel so free and happy. No more waking up at 6am, no more rushing to catch the bus, no more sitting through boring classes like math and history. For two whole months, I'm the master of my own schedule.I love sleeping until noon if I want to. My parents don't get too mad since it's summertime. I'll stay up really late playing Fortnite or watching movies with my friends too. We have epic sleepovers where篇6My Awesome Summer VacationSummer vacation is the best time of the year! No school, no homework, just playing and having fun all day. This summer was one of the most awesome ever.It started off with a bang on the last day of school. My friends and I were so excited for summer, we could barely pay attention in class. As soon as the final bell rang, we raced out of the building cheering and giving each other high fives. Freedom at last! The first week I just relaxed and slept in really late every day. My mom had to pratically drag me out of bed. I spent a lot of time watching TV, playing video games, and hanging out with my neighborhood friends. We went to the park almost every day to play basketball, football, or just goof around on the playground. A few times we had big water balloon fights which were crazy! Then my family went on a big trip to Florida for a week. We drove all the way from Pennsylvania, which took forever! But it was worth it because we went to Disney World, Universal Studios, the beach, and did so many fun things. Disney was amazing with all the rides, shows, and characters walking around. I got to meet Mickey Mouse and it was so cool! My favorite ride was Splash Mountain - we got completely soaked but it was awesome. At Universal, I loved all the Harry Potter themed areas and rides. I felt like I was really at Hogwarts. The Hulk roller coaster was insane - it went so fast and did crazy loops that made my stomach feel weird. But in a good way! On the last day, we relaxed at Clearwater Beach. The water was warm and beautiful with perfect waves for bodysurfing. I could have spent the whole vacation at the beach. After that trip, most of the rest of the summer was lower key but still fun. I went to sleepaway camp for two weeks which was a blast. At camp, I got to go swimming, canoeing, rock climbing, archery, and make all kinds of cool crafts and projects. I met some new friends from other states and we had a great time. Camp was exhausting with all the activities, but in an awesome way.On the days I was just at home, I loved being able to stay up late, sleep in, and not have any schoolwork or schedule to follow. My friends and I would have neighborhood-wide games of Capture the Flag, Kick the Can, or just come up with our own crazy games to play outside. We also went to the pool at the recreation center a bunch of times to cool off from the hot summer sun.Now that summer is coming to an end, I'm actually kind of looking forward to going back to school to see my other friends and because I'm ready for a change of routine. This summer was so much fun though, and I made a ton of great memories that I'll always remember. I can't wait for next summer to have all new adventures! Being a kid in the summer is the best.。

Install a 3/4" threaded male NPT adapter to the drain port or drain pan if one is being used. Install a drain pipe assembly utilizing 3/4" PVC pipe to transport the condensate to a drain. The pitch/slope of the drain pipe should be no less than 1 inch per 10 feet of drain pipe.An optional condensate pump kit is available for use with the Santa Fe Advance dehumidifier and may be installed if lift is required to dispose of condensate. Condensate is automatically pumped to a remote location when the water level in the pump’s reservoir rises to close the float switch.PVC materials available from your local hardware store. The Santa Fe Advance dehumidifier requires a drain trap.Creating a drain trap allows a small amount of water to build up in the trap area of the clear hose. This prevents air from back flowing through the hose and into the dehumidifier; essentially causing the unit to backflow water out of the corners of the machine. Position the trap in the hose approximately 8"-10” from the dehumidifier and make sure the highest point of the trap is still at least 2” below the black drain port adapter on the dehumidifier. If the highest point of the trap is above the drain port, water will back flow into the dehumidifier. Check the hose regularly to ensure water is draining properly.CAUTION!CAUTION!CHECK DRAIN LINE WHEN CHANGING FILTER TO ENSURE THERE IS NO BUILD UP OF ALGAE OR SLUDGE.6Santa Fe Advance90 / Advance120 Installation & Operation Instructions | 800.533.7533OperationHumidity Control AdjustmentThe humidity control is an adjustable switch that turns the dehumidifier on and off. It turns on when the relative humidity (RH) rises to the dial set point. It turns off when the RH is within ±5% of the set point.Approximate Humidity Levels Per Setting “Drier” 35% to 45% Relative Humidity “Normal” 45% to 55% Relative Humidity(Recommended for most applications)“Humid” 55% to 65% Relative HumidityThe dehumidifier will run continuously until the RH is reduced to the humidity control dial setting. It is not recommended to set the humidity control to “dry” in rooms under 65°; doing so will result in long periods of ineffective dehumidifier run time.To turn unit on, turn the humidity dial clockwise to the recommended “NORMAL” position and set fan control to “FAN AUTO.” To turn the unit off, turn the humidity dial counter clockwise to the “OFF” position and set fan control to “FAN AUTO.”Defrost CycleThis product includes a defrost thermostat. This feature prevents internal damage caused by excessive frost forming within the unit. When the unit is experiencing excessive frost the system will stop dehumidfying and the fan will run until normal operating conditions are present.Fan OperationTurning the fan switch “FAN ON” will cause the unit’s internal blower to run continuously, whether the unit is dehumidifying or not. This function is desirable if the unit is used for air circulation or filtration. Turning the fanswitch to “FAN AUTO” (recommended) will cause the unit’s internal blower to run only while the unit is dehumidifying. The Acurite Hygrometer (part number 4038844) is available to accurately monitor humidity levels. Please contact your dealer or order online.CAUTION!7800.533.7533 | Santa Fe Advance90 / Advance120 Installation & Operation InstructionsAir FiltrationThe Santa Fe Advance dehumidifier is equipped with MERV-13 air filter (89-90% ASHRAE dust spot). An optional MERV-8 or MERV-11 filter is available at . The filters should be checked and replaced every three to six months. Operating the unit with a dirty filter will reduce dehumidifier capacity and efficiency.DO NOT operate the unit without a MERV-8, MERV-11 or MERV-13 filter. Filter non-compliance voids the product warranty.CAUTION!MAKE SURE UNIT IS OFF BEFORE CHANGING THE FILTER. FAILURE TO FOLLOW FILTER HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN IMPROPER FUNCTION OF THE DEHUMIDIFIER AND CAUSE PREMATURE FILTER WEAR OR UNIT DAMAGE.Attaching Duct CollarsReturn Air InletAn 10" diameter duct collar and a front panel are attached to the unit.Supply Air OutletTwo 10" diameter duct collars attach to the outlets on each side of the unit. So many events took place here and there are so many places for the visitors to have a trip.作为法国的首都,巴黎是一座古老而又现代的城市。
这里发生了太多的历史事件,这里有那么多的地方让你流连忘返。
The Triumphal Arch(凯旋门)was finished in 1836. It’s a world famous building, too.The Eiffel Tower(埃菲尔铁塔), which is 320 meters high, is the symbol of Paris. It was completed in 1889.320米高的埃费尔铁塔是巴黎的标志。
它建于1889年埃菲尔铁塔The Eiffel Tower (French: La Tour Eiffel, [tu? ?f?l], nickname La dame de fer, the iron lady) is a puddle iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Built in 1889, it has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest building in Paris[10] and the most-visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend itevery year. Named for its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower was built as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair. The tower stands 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall, about the same height as an 81-storey building. Upon its completion, it surpassed the WashingtonMonument to assume the title of tallest man-made structure in the world, a title it held for 41 years, until the Chrysler Building in New York City was built in 1930; however, due to the addition in 1957 of the antenna, the tower is nowtaller than the Chrysler Building. Not including broadcast antennas, it is the second-tallest structure in France after the 201X Millau Viaduct. The tower has three levels for visitors. Tickets can be purchased to ascend, by stairs or lift, to the first and second levels. The walk to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to the second level. The third and highest level is accessible only by elevator. Both the first and second levels feature restaurants. The tower has become the most prominent symbol of both Paris and France, often in the establishing shot of films set in the city.凯旋门The Arc de Triomphe (Arc de Triomphe de l'étoile) is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle (originally named Place de l'étoile), at the western end of theChamps-élysées.[1] There is a smaller arch, the Arc de Triomphe duCarrousel, which stands west of the Louvre. The Arc de Triomphe (in English: "Triumphal Arch") honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its vault lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.The Arc de Triomphe is the linchpin of the historic axis (Axe historique) — a sequence of monuments and grand thoroughfares on a route which goes from the courtyard of the Louvre, to the Grande Arche de la Défense. The monument was designed by Jean Chalgrin in1806, and its iconographic program pitted heroically nude French youths against bearded Germanic warriors in chain mail. It set the tone for public monuments, with triumphant patriotic messages. The monument stands 50 metres (164 ft) in height, 45 m (148 ft) wide and 22 m (72 ft) deep. The large vault is 29.19 m (95.8 ft) high and 14.62 m (48.0 ft) wide. The small vault is 18.68 m (61.3 ft) high and 8.44 m (27.7 ft) wide. It is the second largest triumphal arch in existence (after Arch of Triumph inPyongyang). Its design was inspired by the Roman Arch of Titus. The Arc de Triomphe is so colossal that three weeks after the Parisvictory parade in 1919, marking the end of hostilities in World War I, Charles Godefroy flew his Nieuport biplane through it, with the event captured on newsreel.旅游:France is the most visited country in the world. It has everything that you could ever want tosee on your holidays: a great city like Paris, good beaches, more monuments than any other country, lovely nature, incredible mountain scenery; need I go on? France is also a very pleasant place to stay.It has good food, great wines and people enjoy their lives. And the best thing is, maybe apart from Paris, living in France does not have to be expensive. The Northof France consists of the flatlands around thetown of Lille and the Channel. The area will remind visitors in many ways of Belgium and the Netherlands. The Grand' Place in Lille for example is a lot like that of Brussels.Paris, the city of light and its surroundings are one of the most visited areas. Paris is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. FRANCE TRAVEL INFOShare your photosHotels in FranceFrench coursesMaps of FranceFrance forumsFrance destinationsBest of FranceFrance Real EstateWest of France is turned towards the Atlantic Coast. In the north Normandy & Brittany have rolling hills, sandy beaches and quietlittle harbour towns. Normandy & Brittany have a more rugged coast and many neolithic sites. It has quite a distinct atmosphere from the rest of the country; you can still sense the Celtic origin of the region and its inhabitants. The eastern part of France consists of the Alsace, Lorraine, Franche Comt?and Burgundy regions. The landscape has rolling hills and many beautiful cities, such as Metz, Strasbourg, Nancy and Dijon. This region produces many famous wines, including magnificent pinot noirs and chardonnays valued the world over, as well as the famous "Yellow wine" from the Jura mountain vineyard. The Center of France is in many ways the most quiet part of France. But the great treasure of this region is the Loire valley , with many great castles and beautiful towns. Chartres with its famous cathedral and Tours rate among the most beautiful French cities. The Alps are great for skiing in winter and hiking in summer. Albertville, Grenoble and Chamonix have all hosted the Olympic games. But the Alps also have nice towns to visit, such as Chamb閞y, Annecy or Grenoble .The South with its lovely nature, good food, roman ruins and of course the Riviera draws a lot of visitors every year. Towns like Orange, and Arles but also big cities like Marseille and Toulon are must sees. The Provence is dotted with pleasant small villages. In the South west of France the Dordogne is one of the most quintessential French regions. The valley is so pretty, the towns are so cute and the food is so good, that it is hard to believe that the people who live here go somewhere else for their holidays. The Languedoc has its own language and culture. In the southof the Languedoc you find the Pyrenees, a great mountain range separating France from Spain, where you can hike and ski. The towns of Toulouse and Montpellier are nice and the medieval town of Carcassone is a top destination.美食French FoodFrench cuisine is extremely diverse, with only the Chinese having similar variety in their food. This variety is supported by theFrench passion for good food in all its forms, France's extraordinary range of different geographies and climates which support the local production of all types of ingredients, and France's long and varied history. In many ways, an understanding of the culture of French food is an understanding of France itself.Meals range from the very basic, such as the traditional baguetteplus cheese plus inexpensive wine, to very elaborate affairs than can involve a dozen courses and different wines consumed over several hours. Obviously, the latter type of dining is exceptional for most people. However, it is this more sophisticated dining which istypically found in "French restaurants" outside France, giving many foreigners the mistaken impression that French food is heavy and complicated. In fact, much of the French cuisine is fairly simple, relying on high quality fresh ingredients and loving preparationrather than complex recipes. It is common in much of France to take a two hour break for lunch, with many working parents (particularly in villages and smaller towns) returning home for lunch. In some areas, mainly in the south of France, even longer lunch breaks are taken. Due to the long lunch break, businesses which close for this period typically reopen around 2PM or so and then stay open until about 7PM.篇二:法国英文简介France attracts more tourists than any other country in the world. Tourists come to see France’s splendid scenery. But mostly they come to see Paris, the capital of France. Most of the land in the north is flat and close to sea level. Hills cover central and southern France, and huge mountains rise along the country’s borders. The Pyrenees divide France from Spain, its neighbor to the southwest. The Alps mark its border with Italy and Switzerland to the east. Most of France has mild weather. However, the French Alps get plentyof snow. Some of the world’s finest ski resorts are found here. In the southeast, France borders the Mediterranean Sea. The coast along the Mediterranean is called the Riviera. Warm, dry weather and beautiful scenery make the Riviera a famous winter resort. It’s long been associated with wealth and glamour.THE FRENCH COUNTRYSIDEThe French countryside is divided into tidy farms and dotted with pretty towns. Here and there, old castles loom on hills. The castles were built hundreds of years ago, when nobles ruled France.Big rivers, like the Loire and the Seine, provide water for French farms. Canals connect the major rivers in France. People can travelon this network of waterways. The canals are like an extra set of highways. WINE AND CHEESEVineyards and dairy farms in the countryside produce products for which France is best known. Vineyards grow grapes that are made into wine. Cheese comes from the dairy farms.France produces more wine than any other country in the world. Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Champagne are important grape-growing regions in France. All three have given their names to kinds of wine.France also is known for producing some of the best cheeses in the world. They include Camembert, chèvre (made from goat’s milk), and Roquefort. THE CAPITAL OF FUNThree-fourths of the people of France live in cities and towns. France has ports, such as Marseille, and factory towns, such as Lyon. Paris, however, is by far the most important French city. About 10 million people live in and around this lively and lovely city.Artists have long been drawn to Paris. A famous art movement called impressionism was born here. The best-known museum in France—theLouvre—is in Paris. The Louvre contains one of the world’s most famous paintings, the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.Tourists also love Paris for its nightlife, restaurants, and sidewalk cafés. They flock to see beautiful buildings such as Notre Dame, a huge church that is more than 700 years old. They visit the Eiffel Tower, a Paris landmark that’s nearly 1,000 feet (300 meters) high.THE BIRTH OF FRANCEParis was founded more than 2,000 years ago. It was just a small town until the AD 800s. At that time, France was the western part of a big empire built by a tribe called the Franks. The greatest king of the Franks was Charlemagne. He ruled from 768 to 814. After his death, his three grandsons divided his empire. The western part eventually became France. For about four centuries, the kings of France had little power. During a conflict with England, the French came to think of themselves as a nation. The conflict, known as the Hundred Years’ War, lasted from 1337 to 1453. After the war, the power of the French king began to grow. The king’s power peaked with Louis XIV, who ruled from 1643 to 1715. He was known as the Sun King because he took the Sun—the brightest star in our sky—as his symbol. Louis XIV built the world’s grandest palace at Versailles, just outside Paris. All over Europe, people came to think of Paris as a center for art, culture, and fun.THE FRENCH REVOLUTIONThe fun didn’t last. The king and the members of his court livedsplendidly, but the French people were dreadfully poor. In 1789, the poor rebelled. They overthrew the king and the nobles. They demanded liberty and equality for all. These events began the French Revolution, which lasted until 1799.After the revolution, a military leader named Napoleon seized powerin France. He led French armies as they conquered much of Europe. Britain and Russia joined forces to defeat him.TODAY’S FRANCEFrance remains a powerful and lively country. It is one of the most important countries in the United Nations. It is also a leading power in the European Union, an organization of European countries.Tourists never tire of Paris and other places in France. More people visit France each year than live there!
The steeple of the church has long been a symbol of faith and community in many cultures around the world. Rising high above the surrounding buildings, the church steeple serves as a beacon guiding worshippers to the house of God. Its towering presence commands attention and awe, inspiring reverence and reflection in all who gaze upon it.At the heart of many small towns and villages, the church and its steeple have traditionally been the central gathering place for the local community. The rhythmic tolling of the church bells would call the faithful to prayer, announcing important events, and marking the passage of time. The steeple, with its soaring spire, would be visible from miles away, a constant reminder of the spiritual foundation of the community.Beyond its symbolic and functional purposes, the church steeple is also an architectural marvel worthy of admiration. The design of these towering structures has evolved over centuries, with styles ranging from the simple elegance of Gothic cathedrals to the ornategrandeur of Baroque churches. Each steeple is a unique work of art, showcasing the skills and ingenuity of the master builders and craftsmen who brought them to life.Consider the steeple of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Paris, France. This iconic structure, completed in 1884, is a stunning example of the Neo-Gothic style. Rising to a height of over 80 meters, the steeple is adorned with intricate stone carvings, flying buttresses, and a prominent spire that dominates the Parisian skyline. The attention to detail and the sheer scale of the construction are a testament to the dedication and expertise of the architects and stonemasons who created this masterpiece.Or take the steeple of St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna, Austria. Begun in the 12th century and completed over 300 years later, this soaring structure is a prime example of the evolution of architectural styles. The lower sections of the steeple exhibit the strong, sturdy lines of Romanesque design, while the upper tiers showcase the delicate, pointed arches and pinnacles of the Gothic tradition. The result is a stunning synthesis of two distinct eras, creating a unique and visually captivating landmark.Beyond their architectural significance, church steeples also hold deep cultural and historical significance. In many communities, the steeple has come to represent the enduring spirit of the people, asymbol of their resilience and faith in the face of adversity. During times of war, natural disaster, or social upheaval, the steeple has often stood as a beacon of hope, a constant in a world of change.Consider the iconic steeple of the Old North Church in Boston, Massachusetts. On the fateful night of April 18, 1775, two lanterns were hung in the steeple, signaling the approach of the British troops by sea. This event, immortalized in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem "Paul Revere's Ride," would go on to become a pivotal moment in the American Revolution. Today, the Old North Church and its steeple stand as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices and struggles that paved the way for the nation's independence.Similarly, the steeple of the Coventry Cathedral in England has become a symbol of resilience and reconciliation. During World War II, the original cathedral was destroyed by German bombing raids, leaving only the charred ruins of the steeple standing. Rather than rebuild the cathedral to its former glory, the decision was made to preserve the damaged structure as a memorial to the horrors of war. Alongside the new cathedral, the steeple stands as a poignant reminder of the capacity for human destruction and the equally powerful potential for healing and forgiveness. In a world that is constantly changing, the church steeple remains a steadfast symbol of the enduring human spirit. Whether serving as aplace of worship, a landmark for the community, or a testament to our shared history, the steeple continues to captivate and inspire all who behold it. Its towering presence is a testament to the ingenuity, artistry, and faith of those who have come before us, and a reminder of the enduring power of the human spirit to rise above even the most daunting of challenges.。

你可以告诉我关于你家乡的事情吗英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1Can You Tell Me About Your Hometown?Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. You asked if I could tell you about my hometown, and I'd be happy to! I was born and raised right here in this little town called Oakwood. It's not a huge famous city, but I think it's a really special place.Oakwood is located right in the middle of a beautiful green valley, surrounded by tall hills and mountains. In the spring and summer, all the trees and fields are lush and green. Colorful wildflowers bloom everywhere you look. My favorite is the bright red cardinal flower that grows near the streams.Speaking of streams, we have lots of those winding through town too. They come rushing down from the mountain peaks, crystal clear and ice cold. In the heat of summer, my friends and I love wading in the shallow creek that cuts through Founders Park in the town center. The water is so refreshing! Sometimes we even catch little fish or crayfish with our bare hands. Our town park is one of my favorite places. It has a big playground with swings, slides, and monkey bars. There are also hiking trails that wind up into the surrounding hills. A paved path circles a huge grassy field where people play sports or have picnics. Every year, the whole community comes together for a carnival and fireworks show in that field to celebrate Independence Day on the 4th of July.Downtown Oakwood is really cute too. All the buildings are old but well-maintained, with brick facades and big windows. My dad's diner is right on Main Street. It's been in our family for three generations! The diner has a vintage look with a long curved counter, red vinyl stools, and checkerboard floor tiles. Dad makes the most amazing burgers, fries, and milkshakes. The chocolate shakes are my absolute favorite.Next to the diner is an old-fashioned general store that sells handmade goods from local artisans and farmers. You can get homemade jams, fresh produce, knitted blankets, carved wooden toys, and all sorts of other cool stuff. The owner, Mrs. Jenkins, is really nice. She always slips me an extra taffy or two from the candy jars when I stop in.One of the most interesting places in Oakwood is the train station. It's not located right downtown, but a couple of streetsover near the old rail yard. Passenger trains don't stop here anymore. But you can still see the mostly abandoned station building and railcars parked on the tracks. An old caboose has been turned into a little museum with exhibits on the history of railroads and model train sets. I love checking out all the vintage conductor uniforms and lanterns on display. Our town may be small, but we have some pretty big claims to fame too. Did you know that Oakwood is where the zig-zag scissors were invented? Yup, that weird criss-cross blade design was dreamed up at a workshop here in the 1800s. There's a huge pair of corkscrew scissors mounted outside the museum downtown to honor the invention. Also, every summer the national riveting competition is held in Oakwood! People come from all over to see who can hammer nails and join metal sheets together the fastest.Of course, like any town, we have our local legends and ghost stories too. Everyone says the old Baker mansion at the edge of town is haunted by the spirits of the wealthy family who lived there long ago. Crazy old Mrs. Baker supposedly went mad after her husband ran off with another woman. She wandered the halls at night, carrying a candlestick and looking for her missing spouse. My best friend Lily and I tried sneaking in onceto see if we could spot her ghost, but we got too scared and ran away!Another local tale involves the ancient oak tree growing in the cemetery on the hill overlooking town. They say it's haunted by a Native American chief who was buried under its gnarled roots centuries ago. Some folks report seeing the shadowy figure of a man standing beneath the twisted branches on certain moonlit nights. My older brother claims he heard strange chanting noises coming from that hilltop last Halloween. But I think he was just trying to punk me!I could go on and on about all the fun places and quirky stories from my hometown. But I'd better wrap this up before my essay gets too long and ridiculous! Whether it's fishing in the creek, hiking in the hills, devouring one of Dad's famous shakes, or telling spooky tales around the campfire, there's always something fun to do here in Oakwood. I feel so lucky to call this charming little valley town my home.篇2Can You Tell Me About Your Hometown?Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm 9 years old. I live in a small town called Riverdale. It's not a huge famous city, but Ithink it's a really nice place to grow up. Do you want to know more about it? I'd be happy to tell you all about my hometown!Riverdale is located right along the banks of the Emerald River. The river flows right through the center of town. On hot summer days, my friends and I love going down to the river to skip rocks or dip our toes in the cool water. Sometimes if we're really lucky, we spot deer or rabbits drinking from the river in the early morning! The river is also great for fishing - my dad takes me fishing there sometimes and we've caught lots of trout and bass. Our town has a really pretty main street with lots of little shops and restaurants. My favorite is the ice cream parlor that's been around since my grandparents were kids. They make the best chocolate shakes and sundaes piled high with whipped cream and cherries! Riverdale also has a great diner that serves the most delicious pancakes. For a small town, we have some wonderful places to eat.One of the best things about Riverdale is all the awesome community events we have. Every summer there is a huge town fair with rides, games, music, and food stands. I always look forward to the pie eating contest! For the 4th of July, we have a big parade down main street with fire trucks, marching bands, and people throwing candy to the crowd. And at Halloween, the whole town gets decorated with spooky skeletons andjack-o-lanterns everywhere you look. The neighborhoods are so festive for trick-or-treating!Riverdale has some really beautiful parks and trails too. My favorite is Maple Ridge Park which has tons of hiking trails winding through the woods, past creeks and over little bridges. The leaves change to brilliant reds, oranges and yellows in the fall and it looks like a scene from a storybook. Forest Glen is another amazing spot with super tall evergreen trees, wooden walkways, and wildlife like birds, squirrels and chipmunks everywhere you turn. We have bike paths too that wind all through town so it's easy to ride your bike safely to your friends' houses or to the park. The schools in Riverdale are great too. My elementary school has a really cool outdoor classroom with gardens where we learn about plants and insects. There are also nice playgrounds with jungle gyms, swings, and fields to run around. The high school has awesome sports teams and modern computer labs. Even though Riverdale is small, our schools have lots of nice facilities to help us learn.I guess one downside to living in a small town is that we don't have huge malls or amusement parks or things like that. But you know, I really don't mind! I would much rather have the charming local shops, beautiful nature areas, and closeknit community of Riverdale. Everyone is so friendly and neighbors all know each other. It feels really safe and wholesome growing up here. The downtown may be tiny but it has everything we need –a grocery store, a library, banks, churches, and more. We may not have a mall, but we do have tons of fun downtown events like outdoor movies in the park, concerts on the green, art fairs and farmers markets. So that's my little town of Riverdale! I absolutely love growing up here. We may not be a booming big city, but we have wonderful parks, a lovely river, charming main street, and such a warm and welcoming community. To me, Riverdale is pretty much the perfect place to be a kid. The schools are good, there's always fun stuff to do outdoors or at community events, and everyone looks out for one another. I feel so lucky to live in such a safe, scenic and friendly little town. I'm proud to call Riverdale my hometown! Let me know if you have any other questions about it.篇3Can You Tell Me About Your Hometown?Hi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. You asked me to tell you about my hometown, and I'm happy to share! I was born and raised right here in this small town called Oakville. It's not a huge city, but to me, it's the whole world. Let me tell you all about the place I call home.Oakville is located right near the river that runs through our state. The river is really pretty - sometimes my parents take me fishing there on the weekends. I've caught some big fish before! The water is clear and clean. During the summer, some kids swim in the river, but my mom doesn't really like me going in because she's scared I'll get carried away by the current. I don't mind, though, because our town has a nice public pool that I go to instead. Our town's Main Street is really neat. It has all kinds of little shops and restaurants lining the road. There's the ice cream parlor that makes the best milkshakes. I always get the chocolate one - so thick and creamy! Across the street is the toy store, which is my favorite. They have bins full of cool stuff like Legos and action figures. Every time I get good grades, my parents take me there to pick out a new toy as a treat.Next to the toy store is an old-fashioned general store that sells all sorts of random things - candy, fishing lures, even some clothes and home goods. The owner, Mr. Jenkins, is a really nice older man who always offers me a piece of penny candy from the jars near the register. My personal favorite is the root beer barrels! There's also a diner on Main Street that has the most amazing burgers and fries. The burger patties are super juicy and their fries are crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. Yum! For dessert, you have to get one of their giant milkshakes loaded with whipped cream and cherries. It's big enough for two people to share! My friends and I love going to the park in the center of town. It has a big playground with swings, see-saws, and this really tall sliding board that's a little scary but lots of fun. There's also a pond where you can feed the ducks, and plenty of grass for running around or having picnics. In the summer, the town sets up a little stand that sells snacks and ice cream.Every year, the park is where our town's annual fair is held. It's my favorite time of the year! There are rides like the Ferris wheel and bumper cars. Games with prizes like stuffed animals. And sooo much delicious food - cotton candy, funnel cakes, caramel apples, you name it! At night there's a big fireworks show that lights up the whole sky. I always look forward to the fair.My elementary school is just a few blocks away from Main Street. It's a pretty old building, but I like how it kind of feels like an adventure going between all the different hallways and classrooms. We have a huge playground outside with basketball courts, tetherball, and lots of space to run. For gym class, we can use the big field out back to play sports like soccer or kickball. The teachers at my school are all really nice. My favorites are Mrs. Thompson, who taught me how to read and write when I was in first grade, and Mr. Davis, my science teacher this year. He does the coolest experiments and lets us use the telescopes to look at planets and stars. I really lucked out with such great teachers here in Oakville.I'm glad we live in a place with all four seasons. My favorite is autumn because all the trees lining the streets turn such beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow. It's fun to go romping through the giant piles of fallen leaves in our yard. In the winter, we get decent amounts of snow for sledding and building snowmen. And of course, who can forget about hot chocolate with marshmallows by the fire afterwards? The spring is gorgeous too, with all the flowers starting to bloom again after being buried under the snow. That's when my mom starts working on our little backyard garden, planting vegetables and fruits for the summer. By the time summer rolls around we have tons of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and more straight from our garden. Nothing beats thatfresh-picked taste! As you can probably tell, there's never a dull moment growing up in a town like Oakville. Between the shops, parks, school, seasonal fun, and all the events happening, there's always something to look forward to. This is the only place I've ever called home, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Oakville may be small, but it's my own little world and I love it!篇4Can You Tell Me About Your Hometown?Hi! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I live in a really cool place called Santa Fe, New Mexico. It's the capital of the state of New Mexico, which is in the southwestern part of the United States. My hometown has a super interesting history and culture that I want to share with you!Santa Fe was founded way back in 1610 by Spanish colonists. That makes it the oldest capital city in the whole United States! It used to be the end of the famous Santa Fe Trail, which was an important trade route between Mexico and the eastern United States in the 1800s. Cowboys would herd cattle and transport goods along the trail all the way from the plains to Santa Fe.A lot of different groups of people have lived in Santa Fe over the years. The earliest were the Native American Pueblo peoples who built amazing adobe houses and villages. Later came the Spanish colonists, and then settlers from the United States after it became part of the country in 1848. Santa Fe has been influenced by all these cultures which makes it a really unique place. The architecture in Santa Fe is so cool! Most of the buildings, even modern ones, are made out of adobe which is a type of mud brick. They have flat roofs and thick walls to keep the inside cool during our hot summers. A lot of the houses and churches in the historic downtown area were built centuries ago by Spanish settlers and Native Americans and they still look just as beautiful today. There are so many fun things to see and do in Santa Fe! The Plaza is the heart of the city and has been around since it wasfounded. It's a big square park surrounded by historic adobe buildings with shops, restaurants, galleries, and even working craftspeople like potters, jewelers, and weavers. I love walking around the Plaza looking at all the neat arts and crafts for sale.Another awesome place is Canyon Road, which is an entire street of art galleries! You can find paintings, sculptures, pottery, and all kinds of artwork made by artists from Santa Fe and the nearby pueblos. My favorite is the colorful southwestern style pottery and jewelry made with turquoise stones.Santa Fe also has tons of great museums. The Palace of the Governors is an old adobe palace that was the first capitol building when New Mexico was still a Spanish territory. Now it's a museum that teaches you about the history and cultures of Santa Fe and the Southwest. My favorite museum is the Museum of International Folk Art which has the most amazing collection of folk art, dolls, and toys from all around the world! One of the best things about my hometown is getting to experience the Native American cultures that have lived here for so long. There are eight different Pueblo tribes located near Santa Fe, and they still practice many of their traditional dances, arts, and feast days. Every September we have the Annual Santa Fe Fiesta which celebrates the Spanish settlers who founded thecity. But it also includes Pueblo tribes doing traditional dances and selling their arts and crafts. The Indian Market is another big event where you can watch Native American dancers and buy hand-made jewelry, pottery, baskets, and more from different tribes. The food in Santa Fe is also amazing! We have delicious dishes from Native American, Mexican, and Spanish cultures. My favorite is definitely the New Mexican cuisine, which uses a lot of red and green chiles. Carne adovada (pork cooked in a red chile sauce), posole (a hearty stew with pork and hominy), sopaipillas (puffy fried bread), and stacked enchiladas smothered in red and green chile sauces are some of the most popular dishes. There are also lots of great Mexican restaurants for tacos, burritos, and amazing guacamole. One cool annual event is the Burning of Zozobra, which happens every fall. Zozobra is a giant marionette that represents grief, worry, and gloom. He's stuffed full of shredded paper that has people's written down worries and fears. Then Zozobra gets set on fire during a big celebration with dancing, food, and fireworks to symbolize getting rid of those negative feelings for a new year.Even though Santa Fe is a pretty small city, we get lots of famous visitors and have some big events. Every summer there is the Santa Fe Opera which draws opera lovers from all over the world to see amazing outdoor performances. The city also hosts the annual International Folk Art Market where you can see folk artists and buy their crafts from over 60 different countries!I love living in such a neat and historic place with so many fun things to do and amazing food to eat. Santa Fe really is the perfect mix of Native American, Hispanic, and American cultures all coming together. We have delicious cuisine, incredible art and architecture, cool events and museums, and a unique atmosphere you can't find anywhere else. I feel so lucky to grow up surrounded by all these influences in the oldest capital city of the United States!篇5Can You Tell Me About Your Hometown?Hey there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I live in a really cool place called Seattle. It's a big city in the Pacific Northwest part of the United States. Seattle is famous for a lot of things and I'm going to tell you all about it!First off, the weather here is pretty rainy and cloudy a lot of the time. We get rain like 150 days per year! You might think that sounds like a total bummer, but I actually like the rain. It's cozy to curl up inside with a good book or watch movies when it's pouring out. And everything is so green and lush from all the moisture. The summers here are amazing though - warm and sunny and dry. We have so much fun at the beaches and parks.Speaking of parks, Seattle has tons of them! My favorite is Discovery Park right on the water. You can go hiking on the trails through the forest and see all kinds of wildlife like eagles, herons, and rabbits. At the beach part of the park, you can watch ferries and sailboats go by on the Puget Sound. Sometimes you can even see orcas swimming! How cool is that?Downtown Seattle is a pretty happening place too. We have the iconic Space Needle that was built for the 1962 World's Fair. You can go up to the observation deck and get a twisting, turning view of the whole city below. At the base of the Space Needle, there's a huge park called Seattle Center with museums, theaters, and lots of fun festivals throughout the year.Just down the road from Seattle Center is the Pike Place Market. This gigantic farmer's market has been around since 1907! You can find every kind of fresh produce, fish, meat, bakedgoods, and handmade crafts you can imagine. The fishmongers are famous for throwing the huge salmons across the stalls. Just watch your head! We always take out-of-town visitors to eat at one of the market's amazing food stalls. My favorite is the mini donuts -they're crispy on the outside and warm and sugary inside. Mmm!You probably know that Seattle is home to huge companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks, and Costco. Amazon is probably the most famous - that's the online store that seems to sell everything imaginable. Their headquarters are right in downtown Seattle in these incredibly modern andfuturistic-looking office buildings. Everywhere you go, you see people in Amazon shirts and backpacks. During the summer they have these bright green banana bikes that employees can use to scoot between the various Amazon buildings. Pretty nifty!Even with all the tech companies, you're never far from natural beauty in Seattle. We have so many gorgeous green spaces, lakes, and mountains surrounding us. On a clear day, you can see the Olympic Mountains to the west and the Cascade Mountains to the east, including the icon that is Mount Rainier. That volcano is seriously a jaw-dropping sight to see! Mount Rainier National Park has epic hiking trails that lead up throughwildflower meadows and past thundering waterfalls. It's only about a 2-hour drive from Seattle, so we try to go a few times each summer.Another really unique thing about Seattle is that we actually have a floating bridges across our lakes! The Highway 520 bridge seems to just magically hover over Lake Washington. It's held up by these massive wooden columns that make it look like a giant wooden raft carrying cars and buses. You can actually see the highway sway a little if you're on it when a bunch of big boats go under. Kind of freaky, but in a cool way.I could go on and on about how awesome my city is, but I'll wrap it up for now. Just know that Seattle has amazing food, culture, nature, and technology. It's a one-of-a-kind place that draws visitors from all over the world. I'm so lucky I get to grow up here! Maybe you can come visit us sometime. Just pack your umbrella and get ready to have a blast in my incredible hometown.。
家人喜欢的节日及庆祝活动英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Holidays and How We CelebrateHolidays are the best! They're times when we get to take a break from school and just have fun with family. My family loves celebrating holidays together because it brings us closer. We get to do special activities, eat yummy foods, and make wonderful memories. My absolute favorite holiday is Christmas. I love everything about it – the twinkling lights, the fragrant pine trees, the cheerful music playing everywhere. But most of all, I love the warm, cozy feeling of being at home with my family. The days leading up to Christmas are so exciting! We put up the tree together and I get to hang my favorite ornaments. Mom bakes dozens and dozens of cookies which fill the house with delicious smells. On Christmas Eve, we have a special dinner with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. The table is set with the fancy china and there are festive decorations everywhere. After eating way toomuch food, we all gather in the living room. Dad reads the Christmas story from the Bible while we kids can hardly sit still, we're so eager to open presents! Finally, it's present time and the floors are covered in shredded wrapping paper within minutes. I love watching everyone's faces as they open their gifts. At the end of the night, we're happily exhausted.Christmas Day is just as fun! We sleep in late, have a big breakfast, and then spend the whole day in our pajamas. We take turns playing with each other's new toys and games. For dinner, we have mom's amazing glazed ham with all the trimmings. Afterwards, we stuff ourselves with pie and ice cream. By the time we go to bed, our bellies are full and we're grinning from ear to ear.Another holiday my family goes crazy for is Thanksgiving. Unlike Christmas, there aren't any presents involved. But there's just as much delicious food! A week before Thanksgiving, mom starts preparing. She bakes pies, makes sides like cranberry sauce and stuffing, and gets everything ready for the big day.On Thanksgiving morning, the entire extended family comes over. While the men watch football, the kids run around and play and the women work their magic in the kitchen. The aromas of roasting turkey, baking bread, and simmering gravy make mymouth water. Finally, when everything is ready, we all squeeze around the dining room table. Mom brings out the enormous turkey and sets it at the center. Before we eat, we go around and say what we're thankful for. I'm always thankful for my wonderful family. After we stuff ourselves silly, it's nap time! The adults snooze on the couches while us kids keep celebrating by playing outdoors if the weather is nice. In the evening, we have turkey sandwiches and pumpkin pie for dinner. We end the night watching movies together and introducing the little kids to classic comedies. It's such a warm, loving day spent with the people who mean most to me.Halloween is another holiday I look forward to every year. A few weeks beforehand, my brothers and I decide what we want our costumes to be. Mom is super creative, so she makes them for us instead of buying them from the store. I love watching the costumes come together! When Halloween arrives, we have a little party at our house with friends before going trick-or-treating. Mom makes spooky snacks like mummy dogs and jelly worms. We play games like wrapping each other up like mummies using toilet paper. After we're sugared up, Dad takes us around the neighborhood. Werun door-to-door filling our pumpkin pails with candy from neighbors. When we get home, we sort through our loot and do trades. I always end up with way more sweets than a kid should have! The 4th of July means celebration and fireworks where I live.A few days before, the whole town gets into the spirit by decorating with flags and red, white, and blue ornaments. On the 3rd, we kick things off by watching a big parade. Local marching bands, floats, and people on horseback march through the streets as everybody cheers. My favorite part is the parade of goofily-decorated kids' bikes at the end. Afterwards, there are fun activities like three-legged races, watermelon eating contests, and dunking booths. In the evening of the 4th, the real party starts! My family sets up our barbecue in the backyard and grills up hamburgers and hot dogs. We make classic picnic foods like potato salad and baked beans. While we're eating, kids are running around waving sparklers that leave bright trails in the dusky air. When it gets dark, everyone piles into cars and we drive to a huge field where the fireworks will be set off. We spread out our blankets and wait for the show to start. Finally, the first fireworks start bursting in the sky, spraying it with bright colors. I gaze up in wonder at thedazzling lights. Red, white, and blue fireworks are my favorite. When the grand finale starts, a million fireworks seem to be shooting off at once. It's such an amazing display of light and sound! As the show ends, everyone cheers and claps, already looking forward to next year's celebration. There are so many other holidays and celebrations that my family loves too. When Easter rolls around, we have fun decorating eggs with bright colors and designs. On Valentine's Day, my sisters and I make homemade cards for our friends and family. For New Year's, we stay up late playing games and watching the ball drop on TV at midnight. No matter what time of year it is, there's always a special day to celebrate with the people I love most. Making cheerful memories with my family is what the holidays are all about. I feel so grateful to have such wonderful traditions and times of togetherness. Holidays are what make life sweet.篇2My Favorite Holiday Celebrations with FamilyHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. Let me tell you about some of my favorite holidays and how we celebrate them.Christmas is probably my number one favorite holiday. It's a magical time filled with twinkling lights, decorations, presents, and the joyous spirit of giving. Our celebrations start right after Thanksgiving when we put up the Christmas tree. My brother and I love helping my parents decorate it with ornaments we've collected over the years, including ones we made in school. We string popcorn and cranberry garlands, hang stockings by the fireplace, and place a nativity scene under the tree.On Christmas Eve, we always have a special dinner with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. After the big meal, we gather around the tree and take turns opening one present each. Then we bundle up and go driving around the neighborhood to look at all the dazzling light displays. When we get home, we leave out cookies and milkMy Favorite Holiday Celebrations with FamilyHolidays are the best times of the year for me and my family! We always have so much fun together celebrating in special ways. Each holiday brings its own traditions and exciting activities that we look forward to every year.Christmas is definitely one of our favorite holidays. The whole month of December feels magical, with twinkling lights decorating the neighborhood houses and a huge Christmas tree taking up a corner of our living room. My brothers and I can hardly contain our excitement as we count down the days until Christmas morning.A cherished tradition is going to pick out our Christmas tree together. We drive to a tree farm and wander through the rows of tall pines, playing holiday music and sipping hot chocolate. Once we've found the perfect tree, we load it onto the roof of the car and head home to decorate it with strings of lights and all of our collected ornaments from over the years. On Christmas Eve, we leave out milk and cookies for Santa. My little brother always gets to be the one who carefully arranges them on a plate. Then we all head up to our rooms, barely able to sleep in anticipation of the morning. I wake up at the crack of dawn and race downstairs, where mounds of presents and overflowing stockings await under the twinkling tree lights. We spend the whole morning lounging in our pajamas, taking turns opening gifts one by one and oohing and ahhing over each one.In the afternoon, my aunts, uncles and cousins arrive for our huge Christmas feast. The entire house smells of roasting turkey, warm spices, and freshly baked pies. We kids run around playing hide-and-seek and trading new toys while the adults catch up over glasses of eggnog and wine. Once we've stuffed ourselves silly on turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and all the trimmings, we come together to exchange the silly white elephant giftswe've brought, erupting into laughter at some of the outrageous presents. By the end of the night, we're left feeling incredibly thankful for our loving family.Another holiday we go all-out for is Halloween. As soon as October 1st hits, we decorate the whole house with skeletons, jack-o-lanterns, and dangling spiderwebs. My mom takes us to the pumpkin patch to pick out our own pumpkins for carving. We spend an evening scooping out the insides and carving sillyor spooky faces into them. I love sticking a candle inside and watching the pumpkin's face glow to life in the dark.In the weeks leading up to Halloween, we scout out and put together our dream costumes - one year I was a wizard, the next a superhero, and so on. When October 31st finally rolls around, we carry our carved pumpkins out to the porch, grab ourtrick-or-treat baskets, and set out to explore the neighborhood. Our street is packed with other kids in amazing costumes, everyone showing off their pumpkin creations. We godoor-to-door shouting "Trick or treat!" excitedly collecting all kinds of chocolates, candies, and mini chip bags into our pumpkin buckets.Once we've hit every single house, we head back home with our bounties and sort through our loot, doing plenty of trading of our favorite treats. We finish the night by watching a silly Halloween movie together while indulging in our candy stash. I always sleep with a stomachache from eating way too many sweets!Another super fun holiday in our house is Thanksgiving. We love cooking up an enormous feast and having everyone over to enjoy it together. For weeks beforehand, my mom plans out all the dishes - a giant turkey, fluffy mashed potatoes, savorystuffing, roasted veggies, cranberry sauce, warm rolls, and her famous pumpkin pies for dessert. On Thanksgiving Day, the sweet and savory smells fill every corner of the house. My siblings and I take turns helping out in the kitchen, mashing potatoes, stirring gravy, arranging dinner rolls into a basket, and setting the big dining room table with nice dishes and napkins. We whip up tasty appetizers like deviled eggs and cheese balls to snack on in the afternoon while we watch football and parades on TV.When our aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins arrive, the house feels bursting with energy and chatter as everyone catches up and the kids race around playing tag. Finally, we all squeeze around the tables to enjoy the incredible meal together, sharing what we're grateful for that year. After we've stuffed ourselves silly, we cozy up and watch movies or play board games before indulging in slices of silky pumpkin pie topped with mounds of whipped cream.Holidays give me the warmest feelings of happiness, family, and making wonderful memories together. I cherish all our special traditions and awesome activities we share. From cooking up huge feasts to decorating our home to celebrating with costumes and candy, every holiday brings its own magic that Ilook forward to every year. Most of all, I love spending quality time surrounded by all the smiling faces of my loved ones. Holidays ensure we stay connected and get to make each other laugh until our bellies hurt. That's what I call true holiday spirit!篇5My Favorite Holidays and How We Celebrate ThemHolidays are the best time of the year! I love when school is out and I get to spend extra time with my family. We have so many fun traditions for the different holidays. Let me tell you about some of my favorites!Christmas is probably the biggest celebration in our house. It feels like the preparations start right after Thanksgiving! We put up the Christmas tree and decorate it with all our special ornaments. Some are ones I made at school when I was little. We have ornaments from our travels too - like a little Eiffel Tower from our trip to Paris a few years ago.My brother and I leave out cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve. One year we tried making the cookies ourselves and what a mess that was! Flour went everywhere but they actually tasted pretty good. Now Mom bakes the Santa cookies. On Christmas morning, we wake up so early to open presents! My parents never let us open any until they come downstairs. We take turns opening one at a time so we can see what everyone got. The living room is just piles of wrapping paper by the end. My favorite things to get are art supplies, books, and games we can play together. After opening gifts, we have a big fancy Christmas brunch with things like chocolate croissants, quiche, and fruit salad. We only get foods like that once a year! Then we spend the whole day playing with our new toys and reading our new books. Grandma and Grandpa usually come over later for Christmas dinner.Another holiday I really love is Halloween. Me and my friends start planning our costumes months in advance. We've been everything from superheroes to animals to characters from books and movies. One year I was a scientist with a crazy wig and big glasses. I loved that costume! On Halloween night, the whole neighborhood gets decorated with spooky skeletons, ghosts, and jack-o-lanterns. We all go trick-or-treating together, ringing doorbells and yelling "trick-or-treat!" It's so exciting to get candy from all thehouses. My brother and I have a little competition to see who can get more fun-sized candy bars by the end of the night. When we get home, we sort through and trade our candy piles. Mom has to do candy checks to make sure none of the packages were opened or looked weird. There are always a few apples or raisins from houses that don't give out real candy - blech! Those go straight into the trash. Then we're allowed to have a few pieces before bed.In the summer, the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. We have a whole weekend full of fun activities! On July 3rd, we go to the town parade first thing in the morning. Fire trucks, marching bands, clowns on unicycles - the parade has everything! People line the streets waving American flags and kids scramble to catch the candy that gets thrown our way. After the parade, we walk over to the town carnival. There are rides, games, food trucks, it's all so exciting! We love going on the Ferris wheel and looking out over the whole carnival. We play games like the water gun races and balloon darts to win little stuffed animal prizes. My favorite food is definitely the funnel cakes piled high with powdered sugar. In the evening, the whole family goes to the fireworks show on the town green. We spread out our blankets and lawn chairsto watch the amazing fireworks bursting in the sky. The grand finale at the end is always the best part - nonstop bright colors and booming sounds for the last few minutes. It's just such a fun way to celebrate America's birthday! Those are some of my favorite holidays, but I have to mention my own birthday too! For my birthday, Mom and Dad always make me my favorite dinner. This year it was tacos and a huge ice cream sundae for dessert. I got to pick out my own birthday cake too - it was a Swedish Princess cake with layers of sponge cake, pastry cream, and whipped cream. So delicious! We have a tradition of going downtown to "paint the creek" on my birthday. There's a little creek that runs through the city park and we buy these solid vegetable dyes to pour into the water. It makes the whole creek turn bright shades of green, blue, pink, and yellow! All the kids in the neighborhood come and we have a big picnic potluck while we watch the creek change pretty colors. It's such a fun, silly tradition but one I look forward to every year.Holidays are just the best - full of special foods, activities, traditions, and quality time with family. Maybe my favorite part is getting to make so many happy memories together. I can't wait for the next holiday to come around!篇6My Favorite Holidays and How We Celebrate ThemHolidays are the best! They give me a break from school and lots of fun activities to look forward to with my family. Different holidays mean different traditions, decorations, foods, and ways to celebrate. Here are some of my favorite holidays and how my family enjoys them:ChristmasThis is probably my number one favorite holiday! It comes at the end of the year in December when it's cold outside. My family puts up a huge Christmas tree in our living room and decorates it with lights, ornaments, garland, and a shining star on top. We make the house look all festive with wreaths, snowmen figurines, reindeer decorations, and strings of colored lights. My mom bakes tons of Christmas cookies like gingerbread people, sugar cookies with sprinkles, and chocolate crinkle cookies. Yum!On Christmas Eve, we go to my grandparents' house for a big dinner with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. After dinner, us kids get to open one present each before we go home. In the morning on Christmas Day, we wake up so early to open ourpresents from Santa under the tree! My favorite things to get are Legos, video games, and books. In the afternoon, my grandparents come over to our house and we have a Christmas feast with ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and pie. It's the coziest, most wonderful day of the year!EasterEaster is a fun holiday in the springtime. A week or two before, my mom gets out all our Easter decorations like stuffed bunny rabbits, eggs, baskets, and flowers. We decorate the dining room table and hang things up around the house. A few days before Easter, we dye hard boiled eggs all different colors like pink, yellow, blue, and green. It's so messy but fun!On Easter morning, my sister and I wake up to find that the Easter Bunny has left us baskets filled with chocolates, jelly beans, bubbles, stickers, and little toys. We run around the house and yard to look for all the hidden easter eggs that we have to find. My mom makes us a big pancake breakfast and then we go to church. In the evening, my aunt and uncle and cousins come over for an Easter dinner. We eat ham, cheesy potatoes, glazed carrots, rolls, and my favorite Easter dessert - coconut cream pie!HalloweenHalloween is probably my second favorite holiday after Christmas. It's the spookiest night of the year at the end of October! A few weeks before, we go to the pumpkin patch and pick out big pumpkins to carve scary or funny faces into. We make a mess scooping out the insides, but it's super fun. My dad is really good at carving them with cool designs like monsters, witches, or cats.On Halloween night, my friends and I get to dress up in fun costumes like superheroes, princesses, vampires, ghosts, or whatever we want! Then we go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, ringing doorbells and shouting "Trick or treat!" When people open their doors, we hold out our bags or pumpkin pails and they give us handfuls of candy. My favorite kinds are Snickers, Kit Kats, Skittles, and lollipops. When we get home later that night, my dad builds a fire in our backyard firepit. We roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire, play games, and eat some of our candy while we stay warm by the fire. At the end of the night, I sort through my entire candy haul and trade my mom for any pieces I don't want. Halloween is just the best candy-filled adventure!Fourth of JulyMy favorite summer holiday is the 4th of July when we celebrate America's birthday! A few days before, my mom takes me and my sister to grab 4th of July decorations like flags, banners, pinwheels, and cone-shaped hats with red, white and blue stripes. We hang up the decorations around the house and make lots of red, white and blue desserts like strawberries with blueberries and whipped cream or patriotic popsicles. So yummy! On the 4th of July, we have a bike parade around our neighborhood where all the kids decorate their bikes in red, white, and blue streamers. We ride around ringing our bells and waving little flags. My dad grills burgers and hot dogs for dinner in our backyard. He sets up the radio to listen to music and when it gets dark, we sit outside to watch the big fireworks shows in the distance. We lay on blankets and snack on watermelon slices under the bursts of bright colors lighting up the sky. At the end of the night, we do sparklers that leave trails of sparks swirling everywhere. It's such a fun summer night! Those are some of my favorite holidays throughout the year.I love the special traditions, foods, decorations, games, and activities that come with each celebration. Holidays are just the best for making wonderful family memories that I'll never forget. What are your favorite holidays and how do you celebrate them? Let me know - I'm always looking for new fun traditions to try!。
我的暑假计划六年级英语作文一般将来时态全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Summer Vacation PlansNext summer is going to be the best one yet! I will have so much fun because I am going to do a ton of exciting activities. First off, I am going to go to summer camp for two weeks in July. Summer camp will be an absolute blast! I will go hiking, canoeing, swimming in the lake, and make lots of new friends. Every night, we will roast s'mores over the campfire and sing silly songs. I am really looking forward to all the camp activities and staying up late. After camp, my family will go on an epic road trip across the country! We will pile into our car and hit the open road. Our first stop will be the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I can't wait to see the enormous canyon with my own eyes. We will take a donkey ride along the rim and do some easy hiking trails. Maybe we will even go whitewater rafting on the Colorado River! From there, we will drive to Los Angeles to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins in southern California. They have a swimmingpool, so I will spend lots of time splashing around and working on my backstroke. We might even go to Disneyland for a couple days! I am going to ride the biggest rollercoasters like Space Mountain. I'll eat loads of turkey legs, cotton candy, and churros too. After California, we will head up the Pacific coast to see the giant redwood trees in northern California. Those trees are the tallest in the world! I'll feel so tiny walking through the redwood forests. We may even drive into Oregon to watch whales migrating off the coast. I really hope I spot some whales breaching the surface. That would be amazing! On the way back home to Ohio, we have to stop at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. It will be so cool seeing the huge carved faces of the presidents up close. I might even try carving my own mini Mount Rushmore out of a bar of soap as a souvenir! Our road trip is going to be an unforgettable adventure. When I finally return home, I will have plenty of time for swimming at the community pool, having sleepovers with friends, and reading all the books on my summer reading list. I am really excited to read the last book in the Harry Potter series. No more spoilers! I also can't wait to practice my curveball and changeup pitches so I can make the baseball travel team next year.As you can see, I have a jam-packed schedule of activities for next summer. Between camp, our cross-country road trip, swimming, baseball, and lots of reading, I won't have a single boring day! This will definitely be the most epic summer vacation ever. I can hardly wait for school to get out so the real fun can begin!篇2My Summer Vacation PlansSummer vacation is almost here and I'm so excited! I have a ton of fun activities planned for the next few months. This is going to be the best summer ever!First up, my family and I will be going on a big road trip. We're going to drive all the way from our home in Illinois to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It's really far, but we're going to take our time and stop at lots of cool places along the way. We'll stay in different hotels and go camping too. I can't wait to see the amazing rock formations and hike down into the canyon itself. My dad said we might even take a donkey ride! On the way back, we're going to stop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I really want to see the pueblo villages and learn about their culture and traditions. This road trip is going to be such an adventure. After we get home from our epic road trip, I'll have a couple weeks to relax at home before summer camp starts. I'm going to sleep in late every day and stay up as late as I want. No more early bedtimes or wake up calls for school! I'm also planning to have tons of video game marathons with my friends. We'll order pizzas and binge our favorite shows and movies too. My mom isn't going to be too happy about all the screen time, but it's summer so I can get away with a little more! I'll make sure to spend plenty of time outside too, riding my bike around the neighborhood and playing sports in the park. Then in late June, I'll be going to overnight camp for 4 weeks. I've been going to the same camp every summer since I was 8 and I absolutely love it there. All my camp friends will be back, and we're going to have so much fun. We'll be swimming in the lake every day, making friendship bracelets, and doing silly skits and songsfests around the campfire at night. This year, I'm going to try and earn my archery patch. I've been practicing my bow and arrow skills, so I feel pretty ready for it. We always go on awesome hikes and see cool wildlife too. Hopefully we'll spot a bear again this year! The camp counselors are really fun, and they plan loads of amazing activities to keep us busy. I'm never bored at camp. After 4 amazing weeks at sleepaway camp, I'll only have a couple weeks of summer left before starting 6th grade. My friends and I are planning one last big summer bash to end our vacation with a bang. We're going to have a massive all-night movie marathon and pillow fight at my house. I'll stock up on all the essential supplies - candy, popcorn, soda, and definitely face masks for makeovers! No parents will be allowed, so we can be as silly as we want. It's going to be an epic end to an epic summer.By the time summer is over, I'll be refreshed and ready to start middle school. I'm definitely going to miss the freedom and fun of summer though. Sixth grade is going to be so different - I'll have lockers, change classes, and best of all, no more elementary school! I'm nervous but also really excited for the new challenges ahead. I just hope summer never ends!So that's my summer vacation plan - a cross-country road trip, lazy days of gaming and biking, sleepaway camp in the woods, and an all-night bash with my best friends to end it all. This summer is going to be packed with so many amazing adventures and experiences. I'm going to make a million fun memories to look back on. Sixth grade, here I come - after the best summer ever!篇3My Summer Vacation PlansSchool is almost over and summer vacation will be here soon! I'm so excited to have a break from homework and early mornings. This summer is going to be the best one yet - I have so many fun plans!First off, my family and I are going to go on a big trip. We're going to drive down to Florida to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins. The drive is going to take forever - probably two whole days in the car! But it will be worth it when we get there. We're going to stay at their house right near the beach for a whole week. Every day, I'll wake up and the first thing I'll do is run out to the beach. I'm going to spend hours building the most awesome sandcastles and swimming in the ocean. The waves in Florida are huge! I'll have to be really careful, but I can't wait to jump over them. My cousins and I are going to have so much fun playing together at the beach. One day, we're going to go to Disney World too! I've never been before, so I'm super excited. I hope we'll get to go on all the biggest roller coasters like Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Those are going to be so thrilling! I'll probably be a little scaredat first, but I know the rides will be a blast. I'm also really looking forward to seeing all the Disney characters walking around the parks. Mickey Mouse is my favorite, so I really hope I'll get to meet him and get his autograph. We're going to spend the whole day exploring the different Disney parks. By the end, my feet will be so sore from walking around, but it will definitely be worth it!After our trip to Florida, we'll be back home for a few weeks. During that time, I'm going to have my best friend Lily come over for a sleepover. We'll stay up late watching movies, painting our nails, and gossiping about boys we have crushes on. We're going to make a fort in my basement out of blankets and eat tons of candy and popcorn. It's going to be so fun! Lily and I always have the best time together. I'm sure we'll come up with lots of silly games to play too. We're probably going to get in trouble for being too loud and silly, but that's half the fun of a sleepover! My dad has also promised that he'll take my brother and me camping for a few nights this summer. We're going to pack up our tent and sleeping bags and drive up to the mountains. Once we're all set up at the campsite, we'll go on a long hike to explore the trails and look for wildlife. I hope we'll spot some cool birds or maybe even a bear from a distance! In the evenings, we'regoing to make a campfire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. We'll tell scary stories and look up at all the bright stars too. Camping will be a nice break from television and video games. I'm sure my dad will make us go to bed really early since it will get dark so much sooner out there. I don't mind though - the fresh air is going to make me tired anyway! To finish off the summer, my family is going to have a big party at our house for the 4th of July. All of our neighbors, aunts, uncles, and family friends will come over. We're going to grill out burgers and hot dogs, and my mom will make her famous potato salad. Once it starts getting dark, we'll have a bonfire in our backyard. I'm going to get some sparklers and write my name in the air with bright sparks trailing behind. Finally, once it's totally dark, we'll set off fireworks! My dad always goes overboard and gets a ton. The fireworks show in our backyard is going to be as good as the big town's show. I'll get to stay up late and we'll ooh and aah at all the brilliant colors bursting in the sky. It's my favorite way to end the summer every year. Those are just some of the big plans I have coming up, but I'm sure there will be plenty of other fun days spent riding bikes around the neighborhood, having lemonade stands, and hanging out with friends too. This summer is going to bejam-packed with excitement from start to finish. Part of me will be sad when it's over because I'll miss the freedom and all the fun I had. But I know I'll also be ready to head back to school, see my friends every day, and start another year of learning new things. For now though, I'm just counting down the days until summer vacation officially begins! Get ready for the best summer ever!篇4Here's a 2000 word essay written in the future tense from the perspective of a 6th grade student describing their summer vacation plans, written in English:My Amazing Summer Plans (2000 words)I'll have the best summer ever this year! I'll get to do all kinds of fun activities like archery, rock climbing, arts and crafts, and swimming. I'm really excited about the camp's annual talent show. I'm going to practice my comedy routine about my annoying little brother. I bet I can make everyone laugh! Summer camp is where I always make new friends. Then in July, we're going to Disneyland! I've been looking forward to this trip forever. I'm going to ride the biggest, fastest roller coasters like Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. I'll get my picture taken with all the famous Disney characters - Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella, you name it! We're going to watch thespectacular parades and fireworks shows every night. Disneyland is the happiest place on earth. When we get back from Disneyland, I'm going to have a lemonade stand in my neighborhood to try and make some extra money. I'll mix up huge pitchers of fresh lemonade and set up a little stand at the end of my street. I'm going to make colorful signs and wave to everyone driving by to get their attention. With my lemonade profits, I'm hoping to save up enough to get a new bike!In August, my family is going to go on a road trip up the coast. We'll drive all the way up the Pacific Coast Highway with the ocean view out the window. I'll spend my days boogie boarding and building sandcastles at different beaches along the way. Road trips are always an adventure. On the last week before school starts again, I'm going to have a back-to-school party. I'll invite all my friends over to have one last hurrah before summer vacation ends. We'll go swimming in my pool, have a barbeque cookout, and watch anoutdoor movie on a big projector screen after it gets dark. It will be the perfect way to squeeze in just a little more summer fun!I can't wait for this summer! Between the camping, sleepovers, Disneyland, summer camp, lemonade stand, road trip, and all the other exciting plans, it's going to beaction-packed. I'm going to make so many incredible memories. This will be a summer I'll never forget.篇5My Summer Vacation PlansYay, summer vacation is almost here! This summer is going to be the best one yet. I have so many fun things planned that I'm super duper excited about. I just can't wait for school to be over so the fun can begin!First off, my family and I are going to go on an awesome road trip! We're going to pack up the car with all our suitcases and snacks and drive far away. My parents haven't told me exactly where we're going yet, but I know it's going to be somewhere really cool. Maybe we'll go to the beach or to a national park to see wildlife and go hiking. Wherever we go, I'msure we'll have a blast together as a family. In the car, we'll play road trip games like I Spy and sing along to fun music. I'll get to spend quality time with my parents and little brother away from screens and distractions. That will be really nice. When we get to our destination, we're going to do all sorts of fun activities. If it's a beach vacation, I'm going to build the most epic sandcastles ever! I'll sculpt awesome castles with towering spires and deep moats to protect my kingdom. I'll also spend tons of time swimming and boogie boarding in the waves. The ocean will be so refreshing after being stuck inside at school all year. If we go to a national park instead, I'm going to go on as many hikes as possible. We'll see amazing landscapes and viewpoints. I'll try to spot cool animals like bears, deer, elk and bison in their natural habitats. I may even get to go whitewater rafting or kayaking if there are rivers! No matter what, I know our family trip is going to make incredible memories. After our big family vacation, I'm going to spend plenty of time hanging out with my best friends too. We're planning to have weekly sleepovers where we'll stay up late watching movies, playing video games, and eating all the junk food our parents will let us have. We'll build forts and camp out under them, telling scary stories and seeing who can stay awake the latest. I'malso going to visit the community pool as much as possible with my friends. We'll have epic swimming competitions to see who is the fastest swimmer and who can hold their breath underwater the longest. We'll play laughing games and chicken fights too. I just know those pools days with my best buds are going to be the highlight of my summer. My friends and I are also going to put on our own backyard camp for a week or two. We'll pitch tents in one of our backyards and spend day and night pretending we're off on a grand camping adventure. We'll roast s'mores and hot dogs over the fire pit and tell spooky ghost stories at night. During the day, we'll go on make-believe quests and hikes through the woods behind our houses. We'll build campfires using know-how we've learned and will cook our own meals over them. Backyard camping with my friends is guaranteed to be an absolute blast!Of course, I'm also going to spend a good chunk of my summer playing video games and watching shows. I've been waiting all school year to binge-watch some of my favorite shows without interruption. I'll finally be able to complete games and video series that I've had on hold. My thumbs will probably get a work out from all the gaming! I'm also planning to read a bunch of books from my favorite book series. I can't wait to getlost in fictional worlds of adventure and fantasy with no school tasks to distract me. Reading and relaxing to my heart's content sounds heavenly.Towards the end of the break, I'm going to spend a week or two at summer camp as well. Summer camp is always one of the most exciting parts of my summer. I'll get to make new friends from all over, learn cool outdoor survival skills, and participate in wacky camp traditions. We'll sing goofy camp songs around the campfire and prank the counselors whenever we can. I'm especially looking forward to the ropes courses, zip lining, canoeing and archery at camp. Those activities are my favorite! I'm sure more amazing memories will be made.In between all my fun summer plans, I'm also going to make sure I spend plenty of quality time with family and relatives. We'll go on day trips to museums, zoos, aquariums and amusement parks together. I'll also attend family barbecues and birthday parties. Spending that extra time with the people I love most is really important. Those are the times I'll cherish most when I look back on this summer. As you can see, my summer vacation is going to be absolutely jam-packed with fun! Between the family road trip, friend sleepovers, backyard camping, summer camp, and all theother adventures, I'm sure it's going to fly by. Part of me will be sad when it's over and school starts again, but then I'll get to start looking forward to my winter break plans! Staying positive and having exciting things to look forward to makes life as a kid seriously awesome. This summer is going to be one for the books!。
