On 22 July 2011, Anders Behring Breivik arrived on Utøya dressed as a police officer and began shooting at individuals, continuing until the police arrived one hour later. the attack left 69 dead, 33 of whom were under the age of 18. Second, Aurora shooting. On July 20, 2012, Holmes, "the Joker", shot in a theater, Aurora, Colorado, and 12 people were killed there. Then, on December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot twenty children and six adult staff members in a mass murder at an Elementary School in the village of Sandy Hook in Newtown, Connecticut. Statistics shows that more than 30,000 people are killed by guns in the United States each year.P4，Then, Why we need guns? Here’s a book called Armed America, is written by American photographer Kyle Cassidy. The book examines who are gun owners, and their reasons for owning guns.Dan considers it’s a right, as well as the duty to others.Joe owns guns for hunting.Paul , Beth and Jim are for self protection.Howard thinks it’s a hobby of gun collection.P5，This is the list of some reasons from both sides of proposition and opposition. One of the important opinions from proposition is to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government. Another one is that killer is the criminal, not the gun. Although 54% respondents say no to guns, but voice of supporting gun control are still weak. Not only because bearing arms is a right protected by the second amendment, but also due to the strong influence of NRA.P6，Americans like to do things in a big way. Big houses, Big cars, Big boats. And, also, big guns. a big gun is far more reassuring than a little one. But smaller firearms are handier, more convenient, produce less fatigue when carried afield all day, and are often faster and more efficient to deploy in close quarters suchas thick brush. Anyway, If you want to fight the government, I think you need at least a tank or a canon.P7, If Chinese bought guns freely, What would happen? First picture shows how the leader of Chengguan beat a shop owner. The second picture reflects the serious problem in China, Forced demolition. The last is the wanted poster For Chow Kehua, who killed at least 9 people for robbery. Maybe there would have been other results if most of Chinese had guns.P8, There are some countries, as Sweden, France, have relatively lenient limits like U.S., and keep pretty low murder rates.
