sat考试包括两部分
一是通用考试----推理测验(reasoning test),包括阅读、写作和数学,被称为sat或new sat;sat1主要测验考生的写作、阅读和数学能力,每部分满分是800分,总分是2400分;第二个是单科考试-----专项测验(subject tests),有数学、物理、化学、生物、外语(包括汉语、日语、德语、法语、西班牙语)等,被统称为sat2。
sat2每科满分为800分。绝大部分美国名校只要求中国留学申请人提供sat通用考试的成绩即可,个别院校及专业要求申请人提供sat2的单科考试成绩。
考试内容:
sat1考试时间为三小时四十五分钟。题型为选择题及写作,主要测验考生的阅读、数学及写作能力,满分 2400分。
sat2考试时间为一小时题型大部分为选择题,主要考察考生某一专业的知识。sat2是单科考试,有数学、物理、化学、生物、外语(包括汉语、日语、德语、法语、西班牙语)等,根据各专业和学校的要求参加。

批判性阅读critical reading
批判性阅读(下称cr)部分共67道题目,包括:19道完成句子(sentence completion,下称sc)和48道文章阅读(passage-based reading)。完成句子在一个句子中,抠掉1或2个词(词组),给出5个选项,根据给出的句子部分,选择最合适的填入,主要考察词汇量。文章阅读中,共包含3篇独立长文章、1组长对比文章、2篇独立短文章和1组对比短文章,共5篇独立文章和两组对比文章。文章所涉及的领域有:社会科学、人文、自然科学或小说(每次必有一篇)。短文章每篇(对比阅读算两篇)大约100词左右,每篇文章会出2道题目(对比文章4道)。长文章或文章组每篇(组)总词数介于400到800之间。 数学mathematics
数学部分共44道选择题和10道填空题。考察内容对于中国学生比较简单,初中毕业水平即可。允许使用计算器,每个区最开头会给出一些公式。
写作writing
包含一篇作文和49道语法选择题。其中,作文大约占总分的30%,语法选择题大约占总分的70%。
1.改错。语法选择题中包含25道改进句子(improving
sentences)、18道句子挑错(identifying sentence error)和6道改进篇章(improving passage)。
2.作文。在25分钟内,按照给出的题目作文。若想拿到高分,词数一般要在400以上。作文会由两个评审批阅,除空白和跑题外,每个评审的赋分范围是1-6分,作文总分为2-12分。
