1My Awesome After-School English ClassHi there! My name is Amy, and I'm a second-grader at Sunny Hill Elementary School. I love learning English, and that's why I joined the after-school English interest class. It's so much fun! Let me tell you all about it.Every Wednesday after regular school, we meet in Mrs. Wilson's classroom for our special English class. Mrs. Wilson is our teacher, and she's the best! She always has a big smile on her face and makes learning English super exciting. When we arrive, the first thing we do is sing our "Hello" song. It's a catchy tune that helps us practice greeting each other in English. We sing lines like "Hello, how are you? I'm fine, thank you!" and we get to use our names too. It's a great way to warm up our English skills. After our song, we usually play a game or do an activity to review what we learned the previous week. Last time, we playeda fun game called "Simon Says" to practice following instructions in English. Mrs. Wilson would say things like "Simon says touch your nose" or "Simon says jump up and down," and we had to listen carefully and follow the commands. It was hilarious when someone did the wrong thing! Then it's time for the main lesson of the day. Mrs. Wilson always has something new and interesting planned for us. One week, we learned about colors and shapes. We made colorful posters with different shapes and labeled them in English. Another time, we talked about animals and learned the names of various pets and zoo animals. My favorite lesson so far was when we learned about food. Mrs. Wilson brought in different snacks from around the world, and we got to try them while learning the English names. We tasted things like croissants from France, sushi from Japan, and empanadas from Mexico. It was so yummy and educational at the same time!During the lessons, we do all sorts of fun activities to practice our new English words and phrases. We might sing songs, play games, or even act out little skits. Mrs. Wilson is really creative and makes sure we're always engaged and having a good time. After the main lesson, we usually have a story time where Mrs. Wilson reads us a book in English. She's a great storyteller and uses different voices for the characters. Sometimes she even asks us to help act out parts of the story. It's a fantastic way to improve our listening and comprehension skills. At the end of class, we do a quick review of what we learned that day. Mrs. Wilson might ask us questions or have us share our favorite new English words. Then, before we go home, we sing our "Goodbye" song, which is just as catchy as the "Hello" song. The after-school English class is definitely one of the highlights of my week. I've learned so many new words and phrases, and I'm getting more confident in speaking and understanding English. Mrs. Wilson makes it all so much fun, and I look forward to every Wednesday. If you're a second-grader who loves learning English like me, I highly recommend joining an after-school class like this one. You'll make new friends, play exciting games, and learn so much in a really enjoyable way. Who knows, maybe I'll see you in Mrs. Wilson's class soon!篇2My Super Fun English Enrichment Class!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm in 2nd grade. I love learning English and this year I got to join the after-school English enrichment class. It's so much fun! I want to tell you all about the awesome things we do in the class.First, we always start by singing fun English songs and doing silly warm-up activities. My favorite warm-up is when we pretend to be different animals and make their sounds in English. I'm really good at barking like a dog - "Woof! Woof!" We also do tongue twisters which are hard at first but get easier with practice. My best one is "She sells seashells by the seashore." Try saying that three times fast! After our warm-up, we learn new vocabulary words and phrases. We don't just memorize boring lists though. Our teacher, Ms. Stella, makes it into a game! Sometimes we play charades where we have to act out the words for our team to guess. Other times we go on vocabulary scavenger hunts around the classroom to find picture cards with the new words. My favorite is when we play vocabulary bingo. If we get bingo, we get to pick a prize from the treasure box!Once we've learned the new words, we practice using them by doing fun activities. We make up jokes and riddles using thewords. We also play pretend where we act out fun scenes using the new phrases, like going shopping or ordering food at a restaurant. I love dressing up and doing different voices! Last week I was a cranky old lady buying groceries and I got to use phrases like "How much does this cost?" and "That's much too expensive!" in my best grumpy grandma voice. We even learn English grammar and writing, but Ms. Stella makes it not boring at all. Sometimes we watch short videos or read comic strips, and then we circle the nouns, verbs, adjectives etc. that we learned. Other times we play grammar games where we have to unscramble sentences or fill in the blanks correctly. For writing, we get to write stories, poems, or even scripts for short plays. Last month, I wrote a hilarious story about a talking pizza that went on adventures. It was super silly but I got to practice using descriptive words in English. My favorite part of enrichment class is when we get to play big interactive games that get us moving around. One time, we played an English version of "Mother, May I?" where we had to listen to English instructions and move a certain number of steps. Another week, we had an English vocabulary treasure hunt where we had to follow clues around the classroom and school to findthe hidden treasure at the end! Getting to run around and play in English makes it so fun.At the end of each class, we get out our English portfolios. These are special folders where we keep all of our work from the enrichment class. We get to pick our favorite things we did that day and add them. I have so many fun stories, drawings, photos, and other projects saved in my portfolio already. Whenever I look through it, I remember the awesome games and activities I got to do while learning English!I just love my English enrichment class so much. Ms. Stella makes learning super duper fun and exciting. I've learned so many new English words and grammar things, but in a way that feels like just playing games with my friends. English is my favorite subject now because of this amazing class. I can't wait to go back next week and see what other awesome activities we'll get to do!篇3My Awesome English Class!Hi! My name is Emma and I'm going to tell you all about my super fun English class that I take after school. It's an "interestclass" which means it's just for kids who really want to learn and have fun with English. I love it so much!We have the best teacher ever, Ms. Jennifer. She's really nice and funny and always makes us laugh. But she's also really smart and teaches us tons of cool new words and stuff about English. I used to be kind of scared of English because it's hard whenyou're just learning. But Ms. Jennifer makes it so easy and enjoyable. Our Classes Are Amazing! The classes are two hours long, from 3:30 to 5:30 after normal school gets out. We start by going around the circle and everybody says something about their day or what they did last night. Ms. Jennifer helps us say it in English which practices our speaking skills. Then we usually sing a fun song together to warm up and review things we've learned before. My favorite is the "Hello" song where we replace words with new vocabulary. Like "Hello Butterfly!" "Hello Pencil!" Ms. Jennifer is really silly with the motions too which cracks us all up.After that, it's time for the main lesson! One day we might learn new animal words and then make up stories using them.Another day we'll read a storybook out loud together. Or we'll play speaking games where we practice conversational phrases. My Favorite ActivitiesBut honestly, my favorite activities are the hands-on projects we do. One week we made mini picture books writing about our families. We cut out pictures from magazines and wrote descriptive sentences about each photo. Then we bound them together into books to take home and read to our parents.Another time we did a whole unit on food and restaurants. We split into groups and created menus, play money, and set up little restaurant stations around the room. We took turns being servers, customers, cooks, and cashiers. It was just like being at a real cafe! I got to practice ordering and paying the bill.Sometimes we even have special guests come! Once a teenager from England visited and taught us some fun British slang. We also had a magician come do a whole show for us entirely in English. Having to really listen and understand was challenging but super engaging. We take little breaks between activities to play quick games that get us up and moving. Like Simon Says, but the commands are only in English so we have to listen carefully. Or we'll dorunning relays around the classroom carrying different objects and yelling out their names. My Favorite Field TripsBut I think my very favorite part of English class is when we go on field trips! A few times a year, Ms. Jennifer takes us all on a mini excursion to practice our English in the real world. We've been to a bakery, a museum, a pet store, and more. We have to use all the phrases and vocabulary we've learned to ask questions, make requests, describe what we see, etc. It's my favorite way to learn! At the pet store, I got to ask an employee questions about taking care of the different animals. At the bakery, I ordered a donut using full sentences. At the museum, we took turns being the tour guides. It's honestly the coolest way to really master everything. We always have a ton of fun on the field trips, but we also have to really use our English brains! Ms. Jennifer walks around helping if we get stuck. At the end, we talk about what went well and what was still a little tricky.I Just Love Learning English! In between all the games, projects, and field trips, we've also learned a ton of important English basics without even realizing it. We've covered things like the alphabet, numbers, colors, and telling time. We know tons of common phrases, vocabulary words, and even some simple grammar. But Ms. Jennifer makes it all so fun and interactive that it doesn't even feel like work. Now English isn't scary for me at all! I'm so much more confident with speaking, listening, reading, and writing. And I absolutely love learning new things about this cool language. Some kids take boring extra classes after school, but not me! Mine is a total blast thanks to Ms. Jennifer and all the awesomely engaging activities.I can't wait to see what other adventures we go on in English class this year. I'm sure I'll be reading novels and holding full conversations before I know it! If you're a kid and your school offers an interest class like this, I 100000% recommend signing up. You'll have a ton of fun and become an English pro!篇4My Super Fun English Class!Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 8 years old. I just started taking an after-school English class and I'm so excited to tell youall about it! It's called the "English Adventure Club" and it's the coolest thing ever.Every week, we get together with our amazing teacher, Ms. Karen, and go on imaginary journeys to different places around the world. We play games, sing songs, and learn new words and phrases in English. It's like a tiny vacation from regular school, but we're still learning the whole time!Let me walk you through what a typical class is like:We always start by gathering on the colorful round rug for the "Hello Circle." Ms. Karen greets us with a big smile and we sing a cute little welcome song. Then she asks us how we're feeling that day using different emotion words like "happy," "sad," "tired," or "excited." I love seeing all my friends and hearing about their days. After that, it's story time! Ms. Karen reads us a storybook with the most delightful characters and hilarious adventures. The books are all in English, but she's really good at using gestures and props to help us understand. My favorite story so far has been about a mischievous puppy who kept digging holes all over the backyard. So funny!Once the story is over, we talk about what happened and practice using some of the new vocabulary words we learned. Ms. Karen is always patient and encouraging when we get stuck on a word. She makes us feel safe to take risks and not worry about being perfect. Then comes my favorite part - the English game! Ms. Karen keeps a treasure box full of surprises like picture cards, miniature objects, and fun activities. Sometimes we play charades and act out different verbs. Other times we go on imagination adventures, like pretending to go on a picnic or take a trip to the moon. The games really bring the language to life.We take a break halfway through for a healthy snack like apple slices or graham crackers. I'm always starving after running around and using my brain so much! Ms. Karen makes sure we stay hydrated by offering apple juice or water too. After snack time, we transition into an English-themed craft or hands-on project. One week we made vinegar and baking soda volcanoes and learned explosive vocabulary like "erupt" and "lava." Another time, we created self-portraits with labels for body parts like "eyes," "nose," and "mouth" in English. I have so much fun getting creative and taking the new words home to teach my parents. Before we know it, class is almost over. We gather back on the rug for a closing circle where we sing cute good-bye songs and go around sharing our favorite part of that day's adventures.I feel so proud showing off my English skills! On our way out, Ms. Karen gives us"Homework Hugs" - basically just a piece of paper with some optional English practice for the week like coloring pages, word searches, or simple writing prompts. I like having a little something to keep my English muscles flexed until our next class together.I can't wait to go back to the English Adventure Club next week! My friends and I are already counting down the days. Ms. Karen makes learning English so much fun with her high energy, creative games, and nurturing teaching style. I know the headstart I'm getting now will make English classes easier and more enjoyable when I'm older too. I'm so lucky to have this awesome after-school program!篇5After-School English Fun!Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm a 2nd grader. I just started going to this really cool after-school English class and Iwant to tell you all about it. It's so much fun and I'm learning a ton!Every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I get to stay after school for an extra hour and have my English interest class. We meet in Ms. Kelly's room, which is decorated with so many colorful posters and pictures. There are beanbags on the floor instead of desks, so we can sit however we want. I always grab a spot right up front! When we get to the classroom, the first thing we do is our "Hello!" song. Ms. Kelly plays a fun, upbeat song on the classroom speakers and we all sing and dance along. We make big circle and go around saying hello to everyone in English. "Hello Emma!" "Hello Michael!" It's a great way to warm up and get energized for class. Then we move into our vocabulary lesson for the day. Each week we learn a new set of vocabulary words centered around a theme. One week was animals, one week was foods, another time it was numbers and colors. Ms. Kelly is so creative with the ways she teaches us the new words. For the food vocabulary, she actually brought in plastic toy food and we got to go around and identify all the foods and say them out loud. I learned how to say "broccoli," "pizza," and "icecream" in English. Then we played a game where we had to sort the fake foods onto plates based on if we thought they were healthy or unhealthy. It was hard! I didn't realize French fries were unhealthy.Another time for our lesson on numbers, we did an action for each number 1 through 20. Like for 5 we had to spin around, for 7 we rubbed our bellies, and for 12 we had to hop on one foot. Then Ms. Kelly put the numbers in random order and we had to do the actions. It was silly but it really helped me learn! My favorite way we learn new vocabulary is through songs and chants. Ms. Kelly finds these awesome kids' songs on YouTube that repeat the words over and over again in a silly way. We all stand up and do the motions and sing along. The songs stick in my head so easily that way. I'm still singing the colors song at home driving my parents crazy! After we've learned the new vocabulary for the day, we usually watch a short video or listen to a storybook that uses those words. It's a great way to hear the words again in a different context. For the unit on animals, we watched a National Geographic video about life on the savanna. It was so cool seeing all the real animals I had just learned the words for!My favorite part of class is definitely the games and activities we play to practice everything we've learned. Ms. Kelly is a master at finding or creating the coolest, most engaging games. We never just do worksheets or flashcards, which I find so boring. One really fun game we played was an English version of "Mother, May I?" Someone was the caller and said things like "Take two steps forward and say 'hello'" or "Jump up and down three times and say 'blue.'" If we messed up the English, we had to go back. It was challenging but hilarious watching everyone jump around saying words.Another time, we played this intense team game where we had to toss a ball across the circle, saying either a food or animal word each time. If someone dropped the ball or said a duplicate word, the whole team was out. We were sweating and cracking up laughing, all while practicing our English words. So fun!At the end of every class, we have about 10 minutes for show and tell. A few students can bring in something from home each time and do a short presentation, describing the object in English using our vocabulary words. I brought in my favorite stuffed bear and told everyone his name, what color he was, and that he was my friend. Not too hard, but good practice! So that's a little peek into my awesome after-school English class! We learn in the most fun, engaging ways - through games, songs, videos and more. Ms. Kelly makes sure we're active, moving around, playing and exploring. Yet we're still practicing so many important English skills like vocabulary, listening, speaking and more. I look forward to my English classes every week and I'm already feeling a lot more confident with my English abilities. I can't wait to keep learning!篇6After-School English Fun!Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm in 2nd grade. I love learning English because it's so fun and interesting. Last year, my parents signed me up for an after-school English interest class and I'm going to tell you all about it!The class meets twice a week after regular school for one hour. There are about 15 students and we all sit together on a colorful rug in the classroom. Our teacher's name is Ms. Sarah and she's really nice and energetic.Every class starts with a warm-up activity to get us excited about English. Sometimes we sing silly songs with actions like "If You're Happy and You Know It." Other times we play games likeSimon Says but it's all in English! My favorite is when we go around the circle and each person has to say an English word that starts with the next letter of the alphabet. After our warm-up, we usually learn a new vocabulary theme for the day. Some examples are colors, numbers, animals, food, and toys. Ms. Sarah shows us pictures and teaches us how to pronounce and spell the new words. We repeat them out loud as a class. Then we play games and do activities to practice the vocab in fun ways. For colors, we played this game where Ms. Sarah would hold up a color card and we had to quickly find something in the classroom that matched the color. For numbers, we counted objects around the room. For animals, we made animal masks and did an animal parade around the classroom making the sounds. My favorite was the food unit because we got to taste different snacks while learning their names! After learning the new vocab for the day, we usually do a craft or hands-on project related to the theme. We've made calendars, greeting cards, paperbag puppets, and collages. We also read simple storybooks and put on short skits to practice the language. I really like the interactive and creative activities because they make learning feel like playtime. At the end of each class, we sing the goodbye song and earn stickers on our progress charts for participating well that day. Sometimes we even get small prizes like stickers, pencils, or candy if we were exceptionally good listeners. My favorite parts of English class are the games, crafts, and stories because they're all so much fun. I've learned a ton of new vocabulary words and phrases that are helping me read, write, and speak English better. The class makes learning English easy and enjoyable. We practice using the language in a relaxed environment through play and creativity.I'm so excited to continue attending this English interest class and expanding my skills. I know the more I learn now, the easier it will be for me as I get older. Maybe I'll even become bilingual one day! I'd recommend an after-school English program to any kid who wants to get ahead and make learning a new language really engaging and exciting. It's been such an awesome experience so far. Thanks for reading all about my English adventures!。
