Topic Unit 3 Look at me Duration 40minsTeaching material:Part A Let’s talk let’s playAnalysis of teaching material:This lesson is the first period of Part A in Unit3 Look at me from PEP Book1. It talks about how people greet each other in their daily life when they meet. From this lesson, the Ss can know how to greet others when they meet them and also can invite others using the structure “ Let’s ____”. The topic is closely related to them, so the students would like to talk about it. And this lesson is mainly about new structure “How are you?” and the answers “I’m fine, thank you./Not bad./Just so so./Very well. Thanks.” as well as “Let’s ______.”Analysis of learning condition:The students in Grade 3 are both mentally and physically active. They are eager to show and express themselves and gain the praise from the teacher. In addition, they have already learned “Good morning, Good afternoon, Nice to meet you, Nice to meet you, too and “How are you, Fine, thank you”. So it will be easy for them to learn the new knowledge on the ground of the old knowledge. But they have learned English for only one month, so they can only understand some easy introductions , T should pay attention to this. While, through the help from the teachers and the peers, they can complete the class.Teaching aims:1.
