IntroductionZHONGSHAN PEOPLE’S ASSOCIATION FOR FRIENDSHIP WITH FOREIGN COUNTRIES (hereinafter referred to as ZSPAFFC) is one of the group members of the GUANGDONG PEOPLE’S ASSOCIATION FOR FRIENDSHIP WITH FOREIGN COUNTRIES. To enhance mutual understanding and friendship with other countries and regions, promote international exchange and cooperation, safeguard world peace and promote common development, ZSPAFFC is committed itself to developing friendly and cooperative relations with organizations and social groups around the world and with friendly personages from all walks of life. ZSPAFFC, as a window for international communication between Zhongshan and the rest of the world, has been supported by the CPC Municipal Committee, Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and all circles in the society.Since its establishment in July 1989, ZSPAFFC has conscientiously implemented the work policy of “positive attitude, steady paces, promoting friendship, being practical”. It has played a more and more important role in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship with other countries and regions in the world, and in the economic and social development of Zhongshan. Zhongshan has established sister city relationship with the City of Moriguchi of Japan, the City of Honolulu of the United States and the City of Burnaby of Canada, signed the memorandum of friendly cooperation with Alameda county of US, Cairns city of Australia, Culiacan city of Mexico, Puntarenas city of Costa Rica, Nagasaki city of Japan, George Town of Malaysia and the city of Markham of Canada and built up a friendly exchange and cooperation relationship with various countries and regions of the world.With 22 years’development, ZSPAFFC has built up a bridge of people-to-people communication between Zhongshan and other countries and regions.
