ServerGuide 引导安装指南适用于当前IBM System X部分机型设置和配置概述:使用ServerGuide 设置和安装CD 时,您不需要安装软盘。
可以使用CD 配置任何支持的IBM 服务器型号。

下面以通过ServerGuide引导安装光盘安装Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2版本操作系统为例:1、用ServerGuide CD启动服务器,会有几分钟的引导过程,请等待。
选择使用本引导盘的语言(注意:此时语言为ServerGuide引导程序语言,与所要安装操作系统无关),出现如下画面,选择“English”2、选择键盘布局的画面,在这里选择“United States”,然后点击”NEXT”:3、出现许可协议界面,阅读许可协议内容,点击“I accept”继续即可:中文用户可以在Language选项中选择Chinese 阅读中文协议.4、查看概述以了解ServerGuide 功能,请在使用前仔细查看相关使用说明,点击“NEXT”继续:5、在这里可以选择您要安装的操作系统,选择后点击“NEXT”:6、 设置正确的日期和时间后点击“NEXT”:7、此时进入阵列配置阶段:(1)、如果是没有配置过阵列的服务器则如下图所示:硬盘数量足够的情况下,在Select RAID Level的选项下会有一些可以配置的阵列级别可选。
如果不需要配置阵列,可以选择上图中间的“Bypass RAID Configuration”选项,然后点击“NEXT”继续。

总体来看, IBM 服务器家族目前共有 4 条产品线:基于 Intel 架构的服务器 x 系列( xSeries ,近日 IBM 已经升级推出基于AMD皓龙处理器的5款新品)、中型企业级服务器i 系列(iSeries )、 UNIX 服务器 p 系列 (pSeries) 和大型主机z 系列( zSeries )。
这四大系列基本都包括了从入门级到企业级的各种档次的服务器产品,在结构上也全面包括了塔式、机架式、刀片和机柜式。
IBM eServer xSeries系列服务器是 IBM 服务器品牌之一。
eServer xSeries服务器得名于 IBM 工业标准服务器经典的“X-架构”,是 eServer家族中支持开放工业标准的代表,它是由原来的 Netfinity 系列发展而来的。
下面我们将用一组数据为标题,来简要描述IBM x系列的发展历程:1) 9 年历史IBM 在 1998 年提出 X 系列服务器设想,到现在已经有 9 年历史。
而使 x 系列真正意义上进入到应用领域,还是到了 2001 年之后。
相比较 IBM 大型机的诞生时间, x 系列所关注的目标是面向中小企业,因此要比面向金融行业的大型机稍晚一些。

当该指示灯快速闪烁(每秒闪烁三次)时,表示控制器正在识别该驱动器。
视频接口:将显示器连接到该接口。
可同时使用服务器前部和后部的视频接口。
USB 接口:这两个USB 接口可以连接USB 设备,如USB 鼠标、键盘或其他USB设备。
操作员信息面板:该面板包含控件、指示灯和接口。

机架释放滑锁:按下这些滑锁可以从机架上卸下服务器。

System x3755 M3Product Guide (withdrawn product)The System x3755 M3 is a four-socket AMD Opteron processor-based server that is optimized for outstanding density and cost. It provides flexibility and scalability while offering multiple levels of price/performance. With features such as high performance AMD Opteron 6300 series processors, up to 32 available DIMM sockets with up to 512 GB of memory , and robust I/O, the System x3755 M3 provides four-socket performance at an entry-level price.The x3755 M3 is an ideal server for business workloads including database, virtualization, Java, and enterprise applications such as ERP. The increased processor density helps reduce networking complexity and cost for high-performance computing environments, and the available 32 TB of internal storage facilitates data-intensive applications like business intelligence.Figure 1 shows the System x3755 M3.Figure 1. 打开IBM的官方网站,IBM给我们带来的第一印象就是——拥有如此多的专业产品可供选择。
总体来看,IBM服务器家族目前共有4条产品线:基于 Intel 架构的服务器 x系列(xSeries,近日IBM已经升级推出基于AMD皓龙处理器的5款新品)、中型企业级服务器i系列(iSeries)、UNIX 服务器p系列 (pSeries)和大型主机z系列(zSeries)。
这四大系列基本都包括了从入门级到企业级的各种档次的服务器产品,在结构上也全面包括了塔式、机架式、刀片和机柜式。
IBM eServer xSeries系列服务器是IBM服务器品牌之一。
eServer xSeries服务器得名于IBM工业标准服务器经典的“X-架构”,是eServer家族中支持开放工业标准的代表,它是由原来的Netfinity系列发展而来的。
下面我们将用一组数据为标题,来简要描述IBM x 系列的发展历程:1)9年历史IBM在1998年提出X系列服务器设想,到现在已经有9年历史。
而使x系列真正意义上进入到应用领域,还是到了2001年之后。
相比较IBM大型机的诞生时间,x系列所关注的目标是面向中小企业,因此要比面向金融行业的大型机稍晚一些。
2)2亿美元从x1 系列到x3共经历了5载历程,耗资近2亿美元。
正是IBM看到中小企业蕴含着无限商机,因此不惜重金打造x系列。
