Unit6 I’m watching TV.教学设计
Period 1(SectionA 1a-2c)
一、本课教学内容分析
.语言功能项目:谈论或询问人们正在做什么,
.语法结构:The Present Progressive Tense(现在进行时)
.语言目标:掌握What are you doing?等句式及其回答。

二、教学重点和难点
1.重点:(1)词汇及短语:watch TV, clean, read a newspaper, talk on the phone, listen to a CD, use the computer, make soup, wash the dishes,go to the movies
(2)语言结构What are you doing? I’m watching TV.
What is he/she doing? He/She is…
What are they doing? They are…
2.难点:掌握现在进行时的结构(be+V-ing)。

三、教学过程
Step1. Warming up and Lead-in
1.Greet Ss as usual, tell them what they are going to learn today: The Present Progressive Tense,talk about what people are doing.
2.Act out some activities to lead in and teach the new words.
Step2 Show the pictures,learn the new activities.(课件展示图片,逐一教学新词汇)
e.g.: T: Look at the picture, what is he doing? Ss may answer: watch TV
教师引领学生看图,从词到句操练。

如:watch TV---watching TV---He is watching TV. 强调动词加了ing后的读音。

Step3 Drills
Look at the pictures ,Ss ask and answer like this: A:What is he doing? B:He’s reading.
多媒体展示系列图片,学生练习句型:What is he/she doing? What are they doing?
Step4 Match work (1a)
1.Show the picture on Page 31 to the Ss and say, This is a happy apartment. There
are many people in it. Today is Sunday. Many people are at home.Now, look at
the pictures.Work in pairs to ask and answer questions like this:
S1:What is the boy in picture a doing?
S2:He is talking on the phone.
2. Ask Ss to match each word or phrase with one of the pictures quickly. Then check
the answers.
Step5 Pairwork
Suppose you are one of them. Ask and answer like this:
S1: What are you doing? S2: I’m watching TV.
Group 1 practice picture a and b ;Group 2 practice picture c and d; Group3 practice e and f; Group 4 practice picture g and h.
Step6 Listening(1b)
First, point out the names of the people:Jenny, John, Dave and Mary
T: What are these people doing? Listen to the recording and write the number of
the activity each person is doing.
Check the answers.
Step 7 Pairwork: Ask and answer questions about what people are doing in 1a.
Ask several students to act out their conversations.
Step8 Listening(2a and 2b)
1.Ss listen to the recording and finish 2a&2b. Then check the answers.
2.Role-play the conversation in 2b.
Step9 Guessing game.
1.学生看已被遮挡部分的图片,猜猜图中人物正在做什么。

2.看四张同是人物背影的图片,猜猜他们在做什么。

Step10. 拓展练习。

Step11. Conclusion and Homework。
