中国南车和中国北车的前世今生 2011年07月25日 18:08 南方周末作为主营铁路机车、动车组、城市轨道车辆的两大巨头，中国南车(4.46,0.07,1.59%)和中国北车(4.72,0.07,1.51%)在2010年分别实现营业收入649.09亿元和621.84亿元，较上年分别增长39.91%和53.48%。
“7.23”事故动车由中国南车下属公司制造7月23日动车追尾事故后，两辆动车的相关设备和系统提供商与施工企业备受关注。
据悉，发生事故的车型为庞巴迪-南车四方CRH1B型动车组，以及南车四方CRH2A型动车组，分别由中国南车下属的合营公司青岛四方－庞巴迪－鲍尔铁路运输设备有限公司、子公司南车四方机车车辆股份有限公司负责生产。
CRH1的生产方是加拿大庞巴迪公司与中国南车所属青岛四方的合资企业BSPCRH2的生产方是中国南车所属的南车四方机车车辆股份有限公司(日本川崎重工株式会社等组成的财团提供技术)CRH3的生产者为中国北车所属的唐山机车车辆厂(与德国西门子合作)CRH5由中国北车所属的长春轨道客车股份有限公司(与法国阿尔斯通公司合作)制造。
——摘自《南方都市报》2007年报道据《证券时报》7月25日报道，对于追尾车辆未收到碰撞警告是因为高速下信号系统失效的说法，中国南车董秘邵仁强予以坚决否认，表示高速绝不是事故原因。
作为动车组的另一生产商，中国北车的动车组产品未直接涉及此次事故，7月24日中国北车方面表示不便对此次重大事故作出评论。
《21世纪经济报道》报道数据显示，在中国高铁产业链部分相关上市公司中，中国南车、中国北车是国内主营动车组、城轨地铁车辆生产的两家大型公司。
