20Hz–20kHz.
TheperformanceoftheLM3886,utilizingitsSelfPeakIn-
stantaneousTemperature(˚Ke)(SPiKe™)ProtectionCir-
cuitry,putsitinaclassabovediscreteandhybridamplifiers
byprovidinganinherently,dynamicallyprotectedSafeOper-
atingArea(SOA).SPiKeProtectionmeansthattheseparts
arecompletelysafeguardedattheoutputagainstovervolt-
age,undervoltage,overloads,includingshortstothesup-
plies,thermalrunaway,andinstantaneoustemperature
peaks.
TheLM3886maintainsanexcellentSignal-to-NoiseRatioof
greaterthan92dBwithatypicallownoisefloorof2.0µV.It
exhibitsextremelylow(THD+N)valuesof0.03%atthe
ratedoutputintotheratedloadovertheaudiospectrum,and
providesexcellentlinearitywithanIMD(SMPTE)typicalrat-
ingof0.004%.
