(1) be last seen doing的结构及含义:最后一次被看到在做....,请注意这是一个固定句型结构,seen后面的动词总是使用-ing形式。

的词语,则可采用 take one's place的形式来表示

(2) 词组 at the scene of the crime的含义:在犯罪现场,如: Her fingerprints match those found at

the scene of the crime.她的指纹与犯罪现场的指纹相吻合。

(3) find out的含义并区分find; find out; look for; search for:

find “找到,发现”,表示一种有没有找到的结果

look for=search for=hunt for “寻找,找……”,侧重强调一种寻找的动作

find out “查出,找出”,表示分析,调查从而查明、得知。

as a result of as a result of意为“因为,由于,作为……的结果”,用来作状语。
