2016 年 6 月大学英语六级考试真题(第一套)解析Part I Writing【参考范文】When it comes to the issues of living in the virtual world, opinions vary from person to person. Some people believe that the virtual world will enlighten us, while others worry that it will ruin our daily lives. As I see it, people are indulging too much in the virtual world through social networks, on-line games and virtual reality. With computers and virtual social networks becoming p ervasive, it can easily be imagined that people’s lives will be absolutely changed in future generations. There is no need for people to do hard and complicated work themselves anymore; instead, mass human labor will be replaced by a few computer programs. The increased use of computer programs to accomplish tasks will naturally isolate people and hinder communication between them. Consequently, people may be increasingly indifferent and cold-blooded towards others. As more and more people choose to live in the virtual world, it is time that we decided our stance on this issue.Part II Listening ComprehensionSection AConversation One【话题预测】根据选项中的 market research consultant,design,promote products 等词可预测本篇对话与工作有关。

Part I Reading Comprehension 40%Directions: There are 4 passages in this section. Each passage is followed by somequestions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A), B), C) and D). You should decide on the best choice. Please write the answer on the Answer Sheet .Passage 1Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: thelonging for love, the search for knowledge, and the unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind. These passions, like great winds, have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a deep ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.I have sought love, first, because it brings ecstasy -- ecstasy so great that I would often have sacrificed all the rest of life for a few hours of this joy. I have sought it, next, because it relieves loneliness -- that terrible loneliness in which one shivering consciousness looks over the rim of the world into the cold unfathomable lifeless abyss. I have sought it, finally, because in the union of love I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined. This is what I sought, and though it might seem too good for human life, this is what -- at least -- I have found. With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to understand the hearts of men. I have wished to know why the stars shine. And I have tried to apprehend the Pythagorean power by which number holds sway above the flux. A little of this, but not much, I have achieved.Love and knowledge, so far as they were possible, led upward toward the heavens. But always pity brought me back to earth. Echoes of cries of pain reverberate in my heart. Children in famine, victims tortured by oppressors, helpless old people a hated burden to their sons, and the whole world of loneliness, poverty, and pain make a mockery of what human life should be. I long to alleviate the evil, but I can ’t, and I too suffer.This has been my life. I have found it worth living, and would gladly live it again if the chance were offered me.1. Passage 2Since Tiger was so fortunate with the game of golf, he decided to start a foundation called: The Tiger Woods Foundation which starts schools in urban American cities that provided an education for less fortunate kids. Tiger also supports and donates money to The First Tee program. The First Tee program’s goal is to provide learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf. Tiger himself has also been an idol or hero for many kids around the world because of his dominance and records throughout his golfing career. Because of this many kids have started learning the game of golf.Tiger ’s real first name is Eldrick. He was born on December 30, 1975 and grew up in Cypress California. He began taking an interest in golf when he was just six months old. He would watch his dad, Earl, hit golf balls into a net and would try to copy his swing. He was given the nickname Tiger after a Vietnamese soldier and friend of his father. Tiger Woods appeared on TV practicing his swing at the age of two and by the time he was three, he had already shot a 48 on a nine-hole course. When he was five, the golf world began to take notice of Tiger and he was featured on the cover of Golf Digest. Tiger Woods was just 16 and still in high school when he played in his first professional golf tournament - the Nissan Los Angeles Open. Two years later, he went to college at Stanford University where he won ten collegiate events and the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) title. While he appeared in only a handful of professional tournaments during his years in college, it wasn’t long before Tiger Woods would be winning pro events at a ridiculous rate.Tiger Woods, who is now 28 years old, has had an amazing career since becoming a pro golfer in 1996. He has won 53 worldwide tournaments, 40 of those wins were on the PGA TOUR, including eight major championships: the 1997, 2001, and 2002 Masters, the 1999 and 2000 PGA Championships, the 2000 and 2002 U.S. Open Championship and the 2000 British Open. Tiger has now won an incredible 9 out of 16 World Golf Championship events he has played in.Tiger relates to the book because he is a hero to others near and far. People around the world notice his dedication, time spent working to perfect his game, his fitness routines and since he is young, all the kids like that. Even if you didn’t play golf, you would know who Tiger is and he has influenced many people to take up the game and learn more than just how to play: to learn the integrity and rules which also help you in life.To wrap things up, Tiger Woods started the game at a young age and set many records that may never be broken and has changed the game forever. He’s a hero, incredible golfer, and a generous giving man. He works hard at everything he does and院系: 班级: 姓名: 学号: 装 订 线gives back whenever he can. That is why I chose Tiger to be my hero.6. What might be the best title for the passage?A) Tiger Woods B) The world’s Best GolferC) The Brightest Sports Star D) Sports Hero: Tiger WoodsPassage 340 years ago the idea of disabled people doing sport was never heard of. But when the annual games for the disabled were started at Stoke Mandeville, England in 1948 by Sir Ludwing Guttmann, the situation began to change.Sir Ludwing Guttmann, who had been driven to England in 1939 from Nazi Germany, had been asked by the British government to set up an injuries center at Stoke Mandeville Hospital near London. His ideas about treating injuries included sport for the disabled.In the first games just two teams of injured soldiers took part. The next year, 1949, five teams took part. From those beginnings, things have developed fast. Teams now come from abroad to Stoke Mandeville every year. In 1960 the first Olympics for the Disabled were held in Rome. Now, every four years the Olympic Games for the Disabled are held, if possible, in the same place as the normal Olympic Games although they are organized separately. In other years Games for the Disabled are still held at Stoke Mandeville. In the 1984 wheelchair Olympic Games, 1064 wheelchair athletes from about 40 countries took part. Unfortunately, they were held at Stoke Mandeville and not in Los Angeles, along with other Olympics.The Games have been a great success in promoting international friendship and understanding, and in proving that being disabled does not mean you can’t enjoy sport. One small source of disappointment for those who organize and take part in the games, however, has been the unwillingness of the International Olympic Committee to include disabled events at the Olympic Games for the able-bodied.Perhaps a few more years are still needed to convince those fortunate enough not to be disabled that their disabled fellow athletes should not be excluded.11. The first games for the disabled were held _______ after Sir Ludwing Guttmannarrived in England.A) 40 years B) 21 yearsC) 10 years D) 9 years12. Besides Stoke Mandeville, surely the games for the disabled were once held in_______.A) New York B) LondonC) Rome D) Los Angeles13. In Paragraph 3, the word “athletes” means _______.A) people who support the games B) people who watch the gamesC) people who organize the games D) people who compete in the games14. Which of the following statements is NOT true?A) Sir Ludwing Guttmann is an early organizer of the games for the disabled.B) Sir ludwing Guttmann is an injured soldier.C) Sir Ludwing Guttmann is from Germany.D) Sir Ludwing Guttmann is welcomed by the British government.15. From the passage, we may conclude that the writer is _______.A) one of the organizers of the games for the disabledB) a disabled person who once took part in the gamesC) against holding the games for the disabledD) in favor of holding the games for the disabledPassage 4Books are to mankind what memory is to the individual. They contain the history of our race, the discoveries we have made, the accumulated knowledge and experience of ages. They picture for us the marvels and beauties of nature, help us in our difficulties, comfort us in sorrow and in suffering, change hours of weariness into moments of delight, store our minds with ideas, fill them with good and happy thoughts, and lift us out of and above ourselves.Many of those who have had, as we say, all that this world can give, have yet told us they owed much of their purest happiness to books. Aseham, in “The Schoolmaster,” tells a touching story of his last visit to Lady Jane Grey. He found her sitting in an oriel window reading Plato’s beautiful account of the death of Socrates. Her father and mother were hunting in the park. The hounds were in full cry and their voices came in through the open window. He expressed his surprise that she had not joined them. But, said she, “I wish that all their pleasure in the park is but a shadow to the pleasure I find in Plato.”Macaulay had wealth and fame, rank and power, and yet he tells us in his biography that he owed the happiest hours of his life to books. In a charming letter to a little girl, he says: “Thank you for your very pretty letter. I am always glad to make my little girl happy, and nothing pleases me so much as to see that she likes books, for when she is as old as I am, she will find that they are better than all the tarts and cakes, toys and plays, and sights in the world. If any one would make me the greatest king that ever lived, with palaces and gardens and fine dinners, and wines and coaches, and beautiful clothes, and hundreds of servants, on condition that I should not read books, I would not be a king. I would rather be a poor man in a garret with plenty of books than a king who did not love reading.”Books, indeed, endow us with a whole enchanted palace of thoughts. “There is a wider prospect,” says Jean Paul Richter, “from Parnassus than from a throne.” In one way they give us an even more vivid idea than the actual reality, just as reflections are often more beautiful than real nature. “All are mirrors,”says George Macdonald. “The commonest room is a room in a poem when I look in the glass.”Precious and priceless are the blessings which the books scatter around our daily paths. We walk, in imagination, with the noblest spirits, through the most sublime andenchanting regions.16. This passage argues that _______.A)books are the memory of an individualB)books can tell us what kind of memory an individual hasC)human beings need books just as an individual needs memoryD)an individual needs books to help him memorize what has happened17. According to the passage, books can _______.A) change our mood B) change the time-schedule of our activityC) improve our social position D) keep us in sadness18. But it will fall we know not where.That precise information is beyond even the calculations of scientists and their computers.The best they can tell us is that the space station, weighing 77 tons and as high as a 12 story building, will break into hundreds of pieces that will be scattered across a track 100 miles wide and 4,000 miles long.We are again exposed to one of those unexpected adventures, or misadventures, of science that attracts our attention from the boring routines of daily existence and encourages us to think a lot about man’s future.What worries Richard Smith, the Skylab’s director, is the “big pieces” that will come through the atmosphere, Two lumps, weighing 2 tons each, and ten, weighing at least 1,000 pounds each, will come in at speeds of hundreds of miles an hour and if they crash on land they will dig holes up to 100 feet deep.What worries us, with our lack of scientific knowledge and our quick imagination, is both the big and little pieces, although project officials say there is a very small chance that anyone will be injured by them.That’s good to know, but it doesn’t remove the doubts of the millions who still remember the nuclear accident at Three Mile Island. That accident took place in 1979 in spite of what the officials had assured us as to the safely of the nuclear reactor.21. Where the Skylab will fall?A) is kept secretB) has been made publicC) has been predicted by scientistsD) can’t be predicted even by computers22. According to the passage, what does an incident such as the failed Skylab lead us to do?A) Not to believe in officials.B) To think about our future.C) Has been predicted by scientists.D) To fear for our lives.23. The author suggests that ________.A) the danger of the Skylab’s fall has been overestimatedB) it’s useless to worry over things you can’t do anything aboutC) the danger of the Skylab’s fall has been underestimatedD) computers can solve the problem caused by the broken Skylab24. The author refers to Three Mils Island ________.A) because he is doubtful about what the officials saidB) because he fears that a piece of the Skylab may strike a nuclear power plantC) because he is afraid of the use of nuclear powerD) because the nuclear reactor there and the Skylab were both built by the same company25. This passage is mainly about the author’s ________.A) interest in the failure of the SkylabB) willingness to give his adviceC) eagerness to see more new scientific discoveriesD) concern that science cannot answer all questionsPassage TwoQuestions 26 to 30 are based on the following passage.As supplier of most of the food we eat and of raw materials for many industrial processes, agriculture is clearly an important area of the economy. But the industrial performance of agriculture (the relative efficiency of agricultural production compared to other areas in the economy) is even more important than this. For in nations where theproductivity of farmers is low, most of the working population is needed to raise food and few people are available for the production of investment goods or for other activities required for economic growth. Indeed, one of the factors related most closely to the per capita income (人均收入) of a nation is the fraction of its population engaged in farming. In the poorest nations of the world more than half of the population lives on farms. This compares sharply with less than 10 percent in western Europe and less than 4 percent in the United States.In short, the course of economic development in general depends in a fundamental way on the performance of farmers. This performance, in turn, depends on how agriculture is organized and on the economic environment, or market structure, within which it functions. In the following pages the performance of American agriculture is examined. It is appropriate to begin with a consideration of its market structure.26. This passage is most probably ________.A) a news itemB) part of an introduction to a bookC) part of a lectureD) an advertisement27. What is the most important to agriculture is ________.A) the amount of food it producesB) the per capita income of farmersC) its industrial performanceD) the production of investment goods28. The underlined word “this” in the first paragraph refers to ________.A) the provision of food and raw materialsB) the productivity of farmersC) the production of investment goodsD) the economy as a whole29. The performance of farmers essentially determines ________.A) the size of the working populationB) the organization of agricultureC) the market structureD) the general development of economy30. This passage will most probably be followed by a discussion of ________.A) the structure of American farming populationB) the market structure of American agricultureC) the various functions of American agricultureD) the organization of American agriculturePassage ThreeQuestions 31 to 35 are based on the following passage:Editor:While a new school term is about to begin, perhaps we should reconsider the matter of examinations. In July, two writers (Letters to the Editor) praised the cancellation of exams because they believe “tests don’t tell the whole story.”As a teacher who has worked in four countries, I have had the experience that a student who earns good marks is generally a good student, and that a student’s final mark in a subject is usually a grade average of the year’s work. Of course there are exceptions, but they do not have the frequency that would give an unfair picture of a student’s ability. The simple fact is that proper class work, diligent exam studies and good marks are almost certain indicators of a student’s future performan ce. The opposite is, almost certainly, incompetence.There is no acceptable substitute for competition and examination of quality. How can teachers and future officials determine what a student has learned and remembered? Should we simply take the student’s word for it? Any institutionthat “liberates” students from fair and formal exams is misguided, if not ignorant. And surely the “graduates” of such institutions will lack trustworthiness, not to mention being rejected by foreign universities for graduate or other studies. When all is said and done, I sense that a fear of failure and a fear of unpleasant comparison with others is at the bottom of most ban-exams (废除考试) talk. Excellence and quality fear nothing. On the contrary, they seek competition and desire the satisfaction of being the best.31. Which of the following will the author of this passage probably agree with?A) Tests are not effective in measuring t he students’ abilities.B) Tests are an effective measure of the students’ abilities.C) Tests can only measure some of the students’ abilities.D) Tests may not be useful for measuring students’ abilities.32. The two writers mentioned in the first paragraph ________.A) opposed judging students by the results of examsB) must have proposed other ways of testing studentsC) regarded exams as a way of punishing studentsD) seemed to be worried about the poor marks of their students33. According to the lett er, a student’s final mark ________.A) is often encouragingB) often gives a fair picture of the year’s workC) often proves unreliableD) often tells whether he likes the subject or not34. If a student graduated from a university which does not require exams he would ________.A) have to continue his studiesC) be incompetentB) have a feeling of failureD) not be admitted by foreign institutions35. According to the letter, those who dislike the idea of examinations are probably afraid of ________.A) competing with other studentsC) working too hardB) being graded unfairlyD) being dismissed from schoolPassage FourQuestions 36 to 40 are based on the following passage:Time was—and not so many years ago, either—when the average citizen to ok a pretty dim view of banks and banking. That this was so, it should be said, was to no small extent the fault of banks and bankers themselves. Banks used to be—and a few still are—forbidding (令人生畏的) structures. Behind the little barred windows were, more often than not, elderly gentlemen w hose expression of friendliness reflected the size of the customer’s account, and nothing less than a few hundred thousand in the bank could have inspired the suggestion of a smile.And yet the average bank for many years was, to the average citizen, a fearful, if necessary, instrument for dealing with business—usually big business. But somewhere in the 1930’s banks started to grow human, even pleasant, and st arted to attract the little man. It is possible that this movement beg an in medium-sized towns, or in small towns where people know each other by their first names, and spread to big towns. At any rate, the results have be en remarkable.The movement to “humanize” banks, of course, received a new push during the war, when more and more women were employed to do work previously performed by men. Also more and more “little” people found themselves in need of personal loans, as taxes became heavier and as the practice of installment (分期付款) buying broke down the previously long-held concept that there was something almost morally wrong about being in debt. All sorts of people began to discover that the intelligent use of credit (信贷) could be extremely helpful.36. The author believes that the unfriendly atmosphere in banks many years a go was chiefly due to ________.A) the attitude of bankersB) unfriendliness of customers toward banksC) economic pressure of the timeD) the outer appearance of bank buildings37. The banks of many years ago showed interest only in ________.A) rich customersC) friendly businessmenB) regular visitorsD) elderly gentlemen38. When did banks begin to grow human?A) In the last century.C) Sometime before the war.B) A few years ago.D) During the war.39. What helped the “humanization” of banks?A) The elderly gentlemen in banks were replaced by younger men.B) More and more “little” people became customers of banks.C) More banks were set up in small and medium-sized towns.D) The size of the customer’s account was greatly increased.40. 2024年高中英语教育资格考试真题全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Big Sister's English ExamMy big sister Lily is in her last year of high school and she has been studying really hard! She wants to become an English teacher when she grows up. That means she needs to take a very important test called the English Teacher Qualification Exam. It's a big deal!Lily told me that the exam has several different sections to test if you know English well enough to teach it. There's a listening part where you have to show you can understand people speaking English. My sister practices by watching movies and shows in English without subtitles. She has to listen super carefully!Then there is a reading section on the test. For this part, you read some passages and answer questions to prove you can understand what you read in English. Lily has tons of practice books filled with reading passages about all kinds of topics. She has learned so many new words from studying those books.Another important part is the writing section. Lily has been writing lots of practice essays and stories to get ready. She says you have to be able to write clearly and correctly in English with good grammar and vocabulary. It's hard work but she's getting better every day.But I think the speaking part might be the trickiest section for my sister. You have to talk out loud in English about different topics and answer questions from the test graders. Lily practices by recording herself speaking English and then listening to see if she made any mistakes. She's a little shy but I know she can do it!On top of all those English skills, the exam also tests if you know about teaching methods, classroom management, education laws, and more. Lily has classes at school that teach her strategies for being a great English teacher. I got to be one of her "students" when she practiced teaching a demo lesson! She was very patient and encouraging.The exam is happening next month and Lily has been prepping for almost a year. I know she's nervous but also really excited. She works so hard because being an English teacher is her dream. I'm crossing my fingers that she passes with flying colors!If Lily does well on the exam, she can apply to teaching programs at universities to get her certification. Then she can finally have her own classroom full of students learning English, just like she always wanted. I'll be her first student again when that happens!No matter what, I'm super proud of my big sister Lily. Preparing for this huge exam while juggling all her other classes and activities has been really tough. But she hasn't given up. Lily is determined to follow her passion for English and achieve her goal.I look up to her persistence, courage and love of learning. Watching Lily work so diligently to become an English teacher has shown me how rewarding it is to pursue your dreams, even when the journey is difficult. I'll be cheering loudest of all for her on exam day!篇2The 2024 High School English Test ThingyHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm going to tell you all about the big English test that high school teachers have to take this year. It's a pretty important test from what I hear the grown-ups saying.My dad is trying to become a high school English teacher, so he's been studying really hard for this exam. He has tons of books and practice materials all over our house. The other day I saw him watching videos about literary analysis and grammar rules. It looks like there's a lot he needs to know!From what I could gather by sneakily looking at his study materials, the test seems to cover a huge range of topics related to the English language and literature. There are sections on reading comprehension, analyzing different types of texts, writing essays, grammar and usage, vocabulary, and even some pedagogy stuff about how to actually teach English.The reading comprehension part looks really hard. The practice passages I saw were crazy long and used all these big vocabulary words I've never heard of. My dad says understanding nuanced language and being able to pick apart meanings is crucial for teaching literature analysis. There are questions where you have to identify themes, characterization, rhetorical devices, and all sorts of complicated things that go way over my head!Then there's the writing section where you have to plan and write out complete essays, research papers, and other compositions. Not just any writing either - you need to masterdifferent styles, tones, and formats for different purposes. Expository essays, persuasive writing, literary analysis...my hand gets tired just thinking about having to write that much!Grammar seems like it will be another big focus. Things like sentence structure, verb tenses, punctuation - all of thenitty-gritty rules that I definitely don't have figured out yet. My dad complains about having to memorize all the exceptions to every grammar concept. Sounds like a nightmare if you ask me!There's also a whole vocabulary section where you need to know the definitions of loads of sophisticated vocabulary words. My dad has flashcards with words I can barely even pronounce, like "solipsistic" and "obsequious." I don't know about you, but I'm pretty happy sticking with words I can actually use in normal conversation for now.Oh, and get this - the test even has a section related to stuff like literary time periods, movements, philosophies, and analysis techniques. My dad has been reading all of these dusty old books about transcendentalism, romanticism, and deconstruction theory. I took a peek and felt like I was trying to read another language!From what I've gathered, studying for this English certification exam is no joke. The test-makers really want tomake sure new teachers have an expert-level mastery of the English language inside and out before stepping into a classroom.My dad spends hours every night highlighting readings, making flashcards, writing practice essays, and going over instructional strategies. He even made me quiz him on literary devices and grammatical concepts during our last road trip. No surprise, I had no clue what half of it meant!I'll be really proud of my dad if he passes this beast of a test. It's got to be one of the most comprehensive and difficult certification exams out there from what I can tell. He's working so hard because he really wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a high school English teacher and inspiring students to appreciate great literature.Even though a lot of the material seems like another language to me now, I know having an English teacher who has mastered all of these concepts inside and out will be awesome. I'll finally be able to understand why we have to analyze symbolism in novels and learn about clauses or whatever. An expert teacher makes all the difference.So that's the inside scoop on the intense 2024 English teacher certification exam, straight from the perspective of a10-year-old kid. I may not fully comprehend the enormity of what's on this test yet, but I can definitely respect the commitment it takes to pass it. Teachers like my dad are superheroes for being willing to master so much dense, complex material about the English language - all just to bestow that knowledge on the next generation of students. Cheers to them!篇3My Most Awesome TeacherHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm in the 5th grade. I wanted to tell you all about my favorite teacher ever, Miss Johnson. She's the coolest, funnest, and best teacher I've had since I started school. I can't wait to tell you why she's so amazing!First of all, Miss Johnson makes learning super fun and not boring at all. In other classes, we just sit at our desks and listen to the teacher talk all day. But in Miss Johnson's class, we're always doing fun activities and games. Like when we were learning about fractions, she had us make our own pizzas out of paper plates and we got to cut them into fractions and trade slices with our friends. How cool is that?Then for science, we got to do all sorts of neat experiments. We made baking soda volcanoes erupt, built circuits with batteries and lightbulbs, and even went outside to see how far we could launch little rockets made of film canisters andAlka-Seltzer tablets. Whenever we do experiments like that, Miss Johnson always gets just as excited as us kids. She'll be cheering and jumping up and down when our volcano explodes or our rocket takes off. It's awesome!Another thing I love about Miss Johnson is how nice and caring she is. She always has a big smile on her face and is so patient, even with the kids who have a hard time paying attention or get upset easily. Like this one time, my friend Jake started crying because he struggled with long division. Miss Johnson didn't get mad or frustrated at all. She just calmly came over, gave him a hug, and helped him through the problem step-by-step until he got it. Whenever any of us feel sad or angry, she'll stop everything to talk to us about what's wrong in a soft, gentle voice that makes us feel so much better.On top of being a great teacher, Miss Johnson is also really funny and silly. She'll crack all kinds of jokes during class and do goofy voices or sounds to make us laugh. Like when we were reading books about pirates, she'd use a crazy pirate accent andsay "Arrrr, me hearties!" She definitely doesn't take herself too seriously. Sometimes she'll even make up hilarious songs about the stuff we're learning and sing them to us, doing crazy dances to go along with them. Having a teacher with such a good sense of humor makes coming to school so much more enjoyable.My favorite thing Miss Johnson does though is her classroom rewards system. Whenever we do good work, pay attention, or follow the rules, she gives us these special stickers or buttons. We each have these charts to put the stickers or buttons on, and once we fill up an entire row, we get a prize! The prizes are always so cool too, like books, puzzles, candy, or little toys and games. I still remember how exciting it was the first time I filled up a row and got to pick a prize from Miss Johnson's treasure box. I ended up getting this awesome yoyo that I loved playing with.Miss Johnson also has us earn stickers as a whole class sometimes. If we're all on our best behavior during an assembly or when we have a sub teacher, she'll give each of us a sticker. Once we earn enough class stickers to fill up a big chart, we get to pick a whole class reward like an extra recess, a pizza party, or even a movie day where we watch a fun movie together in class.It makes us want to work as a team and motivates everyone to behave. I just love her creative reward system!Another cool thing about Miss Johnson is how she gets us out of the classroom as much as possible. She thinks it's important for kids to not just sit at desks all day, so she'll take us outside whenever she can. Sometimes we'll have reading time on the playground or do science experiments out on the field. She even sets up little stations around the school grounds and has us rotate through doing different learning activities at each one. It's so much better than being cooped up inside all day!Every few months, Miss Johnson also plans a big fun field trip for our whole class. Once we went to an amusement park and got to learn about physics and motion on all the roller coasters and rides. Another time we visited this cool nature center where we went on a long hike, caught butterflies and frogs, and learned about the local plants and animals. Field trips with Miss Johnson are a total blast!Overall, Miss Johnson is just the best teacher any kid could ask for. She makes learning feel like playtime and helps us all love coming to school. Her positive attitude, kindness, and silly sense of humor make her classroom such a joy to be in. I'm going to be so sad when I have to leave her class and go tomiddle school next year. No other teacher will ever compare to the awesome Miss Johnson!So there you have it, that's why my 5th grade teacher Miss Johnson is the greatest of all time. I feel so lucky to have been her student this year. If you ever get a teacher even half as cool and fun as her, you'll know you hit the jackpot. Thanks for reading all about my favorite teacher ever!篇4The 2024 High School Thingy ExamHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I just finished 4th grade and I can't wait for summer vacation! But before we get to all the fun summer stuff, I have to tell you about this weird test my older sister Tina had to take.Tina is 17 and just finished her last year of high school. She wants to be an English teacher when she grows up. To get her teaching degree, she had to take the High School English Education Qualification Exam this year. It's a big deal!From what I understand, the exam tests if you know enough about the English language and how to teach it properly. Tina studied really hard for months. She had to learn all aboutgrammar rules, like when to use "their" instead of "there" or "they're." Stuff like that gives me a headache!Tina also had reading comprehension sections where she read passages and had to answer questions proving she understood everything. Some of the passages were crazy long short stories or excerpts from novels. I'm talking like 10 pages long! I can barely make it through the books I have to read for school.There was a whole section on analyzing literature too. Tina had to learn all these techniques that authors use like symbolism, metaphors, foreshadowing and more. She taught me what a metaphor was once and I still don't really get it. How can a person be a ball of fire? That makes no sense!The exam also tested pedagogical knowledge and skills. I'm not even sure what that means, but it has to do with being an effective teacher. Tina had to learn about different teaching styles, classroom management, making lesson plans, and lots of other teacher stuff. Sounds incredibly boring if you ask me!On top of all that, part of the exam was about testing and assessment methods. Tina studied how to create good tests to evaluate what students are learning. She had to know things likevalidity, reliability, and different question types. I just have to take the tests, not make them!The exam was split into multiple sections taken over two days. Tina said it was grueling and exhausting. When she finished, she was so tired she crashed on the couch for like 4 hours straight! I don't know how she kept all that information in her head.While I waited for Tina to wake up, I thought about how I could never do all that work and take a test that difficult. I'll just be a kid as long as I can! No really hard tests for me. I'll leave that to my sister and talented people like her who want to be teachers.A few weeks later, Tina got her results in the mail. She passed We had a little family party to celebrate. I'm so proud of my sister for studying so hard and acing that crazy exam. She's going to be an awesome English teacher.I just hope if I'm ever in one of Tina's classes, she goes easy on me! Having your sibling as your teacher could be kind of awkward. But I know she'll make learning English fun and interesting. She's a great teacher already.Well, that's the scoop on Tina's big exam from a kid's perspective. Now if you'll excuse me, I have very important summer vacation plans that involve no tests, lots of swimming, and approximately zero studying. Catch you later!篇5The Big Scary TestUgh, I had the worst day ever! You know how my big sis Samantha is trying to become an English teacher? Well, she had to take this super big test today to get her license. She's been studying like crazy for weeks, reading all these big books and making flashcards and stuff. I thought she was going overboard, but I guess this test is a really big deal.Anyway, she woke me up at the crack of dawn this morning, which is just plain rude. She was running around the house like a crazy person, triple-checking that she had everything she needed. I was still half asleep, but I could hear her mumbling to herself, "Pencils, erasers, ID, snacks, water bottle..." It was kind of funny, to be honest.Mom made her a big breakfast to "fuel her brain," as she said. Samantha could barely eat though, she was so nervous. Her hands were shaking, and she kept taking deep breaths andsaying, "You've got this, Samantha. You've studied so hard. You're going to ace this test."Finally, it was time to go. Dad drove her to the testing center, which was at the high school on the other side of town. I could tell Samantha was really scared, but she put on a brave face. Before she got out of the car, she gave me and Mom a big hug. "Wish me luck, guys!" she said, trying to sound confident.Mom and I spent the whole day just waiting for her to come home. We tried to keep busy, but I could tell Mom was just as anxious as Samantha. Every time the phone rang, she jumped up, thinking it was the testing center calling with bad news or something.Finally, after what felt like forever, Dad's car pulled into the driveway. Samantha got out, and she looked... I couldn't really tell how she felt. She had this weird blank expression on her face, like she was in shock or something.Mom and I ran out to meet her. "How'd it go, honey?" Mom asked, giving her a big hug. "Was it as bad as you thought?"Samantha didn't say anything for a few seconds. Then, a huge smile spread across her face. "I passed!" she shouted,throwing her arms up in the air. "I actually passed the test! I'm going to be an English teacher!"Mom started crying happy tears, and I gave Samantha a high five. We were all so proud of her and happy that her hard work had paid off. Dad suggested we go out for ice cream to celebrate, which is always a great idea in my book.On the way to the ice cream shop, Samantha told us all about the test. Apparently, there were sections on grammar, literature, teaching methods, you name it. Some parts were really hard, and she wasn't sure if she got them right. But overall, she felt good about how she did.She said the hardest part was the essay section, where she had to write a bunch of different essays on topics like "The Importance of Reading" and "Strategies for Teaching Writing." Her hand cramped up like crazy, but she powered through it. I can't even imagine having to write that much!Once we got our ice cream, Samantha looked so relaxed and happy. All that stress and anxiety just melted away. She deserved to celebrate after all that hard work!On the drive home, I asked Samantha what she was going to do next. She said she still had to apply for teaching jobs, whichmade her a little nervous again. But she was excited to finally be done with testing and start looking for her first classroom."Maybe you'll be my teacher someday, Samantha!" I said, sticking my tongue out at her. She just laughed and ruffled my hair."In your dreams, squirt! You'd be篇6My Super Awesome School YearHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I just finished the 5th grade and I wanted to tell you all about my amazing school year. It was the best year ever!At the beginning of the year, I was a little nervous because I was going to a new school. But my mom told me not to worry and that I would make lots of new friends. She was right! On the very first day, I met my best friend Sarah. We sit next to each other in class and we have so much fun together.My favorite subject this year was science. We learned all about the human body and it was so cool! Did you know that your stomach is only about the size of your fist when you're born? And your bones are actually growing longer every day? Theskeletal system is amazing. We also learned about the circulatory system and how the heart pumps blood all around your body. I can't wait to learn more science stuff next year.In math class, we worked a lot on fractions and decimals. I'll be honest, fractions were really hard for me at first. But my teacher, Mrs. Johnson, was super patient and helped me understand it. By the end of the year, I was a fraction master! We also learned about geometry and measuring angles. Who knew there were so many types of triangles?English class was a blast this year. We read a ton of great books like "Charlotte's Web" and "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." I love getting lost in an awesome story. For our final project, we had to write our own short story. I wrote a fantasy tale about a young wizard who had to save her village from an evil dragon. It was epic! My parents were so proud when I read it to them.One of the highlights of 5th grade was definitely our class field trip. We went to a science museum and got to see a real mummy from ancient Egypt! It was both creepy and fascinating at the same time. We also visited the planetarium and learned about all the different planets, stars, and galaxies. The show was in 3D and it felt like we were flying through outer space. So cool!I also joined the school art club this year. We got to do all sorts of fun art projects like painting, sculpting with clay, and making collages out of magazine clippings. Art class was my favorite part of the week. I even entered my self-portrait painting into the county art contest and won second place!In the spring, our school put on a music concert and I played the violin. I've been taking violin lessons since first grade, so I've had a lot of practice. Still, I was pretty nervous to perform on stage in front of so many people! But I didn't make any mistakes and my parents gave me a huge bouquet of flowers afterward. They were beaming with pride.We also had some great spirit days and pep rallies at school to get everyone excited. My favorite was Crazy Hair Day where you could dye your hair bright colors or put it up in a wild style. I used a whole can of pink hairspray and had my mom crimp my hair. I looked like a punk rock princess!Well, that's a little glimpse into my amazing 5th grade year. Of course, there's no way I could fit in every single detail. Just know that it was a year filled with learning, laughter, and making tons of new memories. I'll never forget the great times I had and all the wonderful friends I made.Even though I'll miss my elementary school, I'm really excited for middle school next year. I can't wait for a new set of classes, activities, and adventures. If this past year was any indication, my middle school years are going to be epic! I'll be sure to tell you all about them.Thanks for reading about my super awesome school year! Have a great summer!。

Language teachers benefit from lesson planning in a number of ways.Firstly, a clear lesson plan makes the teacher aware of the aims and language contents of the lesson. Ts need to know what their Ss to be able to do at the end of the lesson and they can plan the activities and choose the techniques accordingly.Secondly, it helps distinguish the various stages of a lesson and see the relationship between them so that the activities of different difficult levels can be arranged properly and the lesson can move smoothly from one stage to another.Thirdly, proper lesson planning give Ts the opportunities to anticipate potential problems that may arise in class so that they can be prepared with some possible solutions or other options for the lesson.Fourthly, good planning gives Ts, especially novice Ts, confidence in class. They know what they are going to do next therefore they can pay more attention to Ss? rea ction and performance in class rather than themselves.Fifthly, when planning the lesson, the T also becomes aware of the teaching aids that are needed for the lesson.Last but not least, planning is a good practice and a sign of professionalism. Indisciplined students are not bad students, and sometimes they are not aware of their indisciplined acts. So when the teacher is trying to act against discipline, he should be careful not to hurt the students.1)deal with it quietly. If the problems involve only one student, the teacher?s action should be a quiet response so that it will av oid other students? attention.2)don?t take things personally. When something happens, the teacher should try to address the problem rather than the student as the object. Besides, the teacher should relate to the problem impersonally even if the criticism is meant personally.3)don?t use threats. Threats are never constructive measures against indiscipline. In most cases, threats cause negative affective state and resistance to cooperation.2. Generally, it is best not to interrupt students during fluency work unless communication breaks down. If the student has got most of his language right but has made a trivial mistake, it is sometimes wise to let the mistake pass. If there are some common mistakes that other students might also have problems with, the teacher can take a note in his/her mind and try to do the correction after the student?s performance. However, during accuracy work, the teacher may need to intervene more because the purpose of the activity is to get what is learned right.3. She always encouraged me to learn all I could about everything.” This extraordinary teacher was his mom, Jeanne Lambert, who homeschooled Graham until high school. He’s now in his second year in the University of Toronto’s Peace and Conflict Studies program, having received a provincial “Aiming for the Top”scholarship. Graham is considering a law degree or a master’s in political science down the road. He attributes his academic success to the foundation laid by his parents.[B] “You can’t be a parent without being a teacher,” says Bruce Arai, a professorin the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. “Perhaps the most important teaching in a child’s life is done by his parents, not by some professional with certificates,” he says. Homeschooling isn’t about sitting you r kids down in the kitchen and teachingthem in the formal sense, says Aral, but about “making s ure the resources and opportunities for learning are available to them.” And that, any parent can do.Here, then, are some methods that parents who would never consider homeschooling can pick up from those who do. Lesson 1 Think Outside the Classroom[C] When homeschooler Kerri Paqueue, a mother of six, was building a house inLansdowne, she saw it as a learning opportunity. “They learned math as we measured about soil as we dug the foundation, about water while we did the plumbing, and about electricity when we did the electrical work. My children make the subjects come alive as much I do.” says Paquette. Her kids, aged three to13, continue to view the world as their classroom. They study food and plant growth through their organic garden. They learn about cows by talking to the neighboring farmers. And they learn math, measuring and science while helping Paquette cook. “The other day my nine-year-old, Maddison, started learning a new educational computer program. The section on fractions was all new, but she knew it from when we bake.”Every activity, says Paquette, can include a lesson.Lesson 2 Eliminate Learning Limits[D] A teacher with a class of 25 students can’t continue a unit on, say, the bodyjust because one child is still keen—but you can. “We don’t have a time flame that restricts our investigations, and we don’t have a dally schedule,” says Linda Clement, who homeschools her two daughters in Victoria. When her14-year-old showed an interest in the human body, the curious student read dozens of relevant books and surfed web sites. Janet’s curiosity took her in all sorts of directions: a dictionary of poisons and antidotes, an encyclopedia of medicine, booksabout human personality and much more. The benefit to your child goes beyond a thorough knowledge of a subject. Studying deeply a topic builds independent research skills and a love of learning. “If my children are interested in a subject,”says Clement, “we can go as far into the subject, answering as many questions as they have for as long as is necessary. This freedom encourages their investigations.”Lesson 3 Teach Your Kids Their Way[E] Some children are visual learners (they absorb best when they see something),some are auditory (they need to hear it), some are kinesthetic (they need hands-on experience)and some are a combination. Uncovering how your child learns best will increase your effectiveness in helping him or her with schoolwork. Unsure of your child’s learning style? Ask his teacher.[F] The way Melissa Cowl’s six children, aged three to 15, pick up on mathhighlights the great differences in learning styles. “Our ten-year-old, Matthew, needs everything in black and whim: Tell him what to do and how to do it, and it’s done,” says the mother. “He had a math text that was too colorful, with a layout that was difficult to follow. I switched to a text that was more step-by-step, more concrete. Now he does math tests with no trouble.”“Our eight-year-old, Ryan, however, is very hands-on. For math, he uses a variety ofcolorful pens to figure out things like addition and fractions. He needs to see it and feel it. Not one of my kids learns the same way as the others.”Lesson 4 Let Them See You Learn[G] One of the best parts of homeschooling is that you can continue your owneducation—and your kids can see you doing it and pick up on your love of learning th e same principle can be applied by any parent. “Lea rning never ends,” says Julia Goforth, a homeschooling mother of four. “We try new things all the time, whether I’m reading something new or we’re all tasting foods we’d never normally eat.” Reversing the roles also has benefits, giving kids a sense of pride in their own newfound knowledge. “Today my 12-year-old daughter, Denise, explained to me how she figured out a math problem. She’d wound up with the r ight answer, but I didn’t understand how she managed it,”says homeschooler Gina Rozon of La Ronge. Sask. “Our kids are teaching us all the time.”[H] Learning doesn’t always go smoothly, for kids and adults alike, which is whyit’s important for children to see their parents struggle with something new.“My children watched me tu rn my life around by trying new things.” says Goforth. “I went f rom being a fearful, stay-at-home mom to an adventurous artist’s model and public speaker. Learning to belly dance and play the violin is on my to-do list this year.”Lesson 5 “Own” Your Children’s Education[I] “Helping them isn’t about showing your kids how to do the work. It’s aboutbeing genuinely interested and having regular conversations about what they’re learning,” says J. Gary Knowles, a professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Rozon has many suggestions for how to get more involved.“Get to know the teacher. Discuss ways to design the assignments to your child’s lea rning style. Spend time in the classroom. Ask for outlines of unit studies so you can find additional materials at the library or through videos.Read your child’s t extbooks: If you work a few pages ahead, you’ll be able to help them with problems they encounter.”Reading is another must, says Rozon.“Even after your children can read themselves, hearing somebody else read aloud is important. We nearly always bring a book wherever we go; we read for at least a half hour before bedtime.” The more engaged a parent is, the more the child benefits, adds Bruce Arai. “The evidence is clear: Parental involvement is one of the most important factors in school success. The hours children spend in class are but one element of their education.”1. Carey Graham’s mother was his special teacher when he started Grade One. 【答案】A【解析】由题⼲信息定位到A段。

1.人们对采取应试教育还是素质教育看法不一;
2.两种教育方式的特点;
3.我的观点。
Useful words and expressions:
Educational patterns, exam-oriented, acquire knowledge, bear pressure, all-round development, learn actively and creatively, quality-oriented, be eager to learn, give priority to, be motivated
Nowsdays,there are two educational patterns in China:the exam-oriented education and the quality-oriented education.Debate over this two educational pattens has lasted for several years.
To be honest,this two kinds of patterns each has its own characteristic,First of all,the quality-oriented education emphasizes all-round development.Students are supposed to learn actively and creatively rather than receive knowledge passively and therefore inactively.However,exam-oriented education gives priority to the scores of students.The performance of student in all kinds of examinations is the criterion of judging the success of education.Under this pattern,cramming method of teaching finds its prevalence all over the school.
In my opinion, the quality-orientation is much superior to the exam-orientation. Under the quality-oriented education, students are motivated and are eager to learn through their own experience. However, under the exam-oriented pattern, students bear too heavy pressure and their creativities and initiative are wasted. Students educated by this pattern can not match the pace of modern society and the pattern is already out of tune with the modern melody.。
