为朋友写一封信介绍旅游景点的英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1Dear Katie,Hi! How are you? I'm so excited to tell you all about the amazing place my family and I went for our vacation last month. Get ready for an awesome adventure! We went to this huge park called Yellowstone National Park. It's located way out west in the states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Just getting there was an adventure since we had to drive for almost two entire days from our house! But it was totally worth it when we finally arrived.Yellowstone is one of the coolest places I've ever been. It's absolutely massive - bigger than the states of Rhode Island and Delaware combined! And get this - it sits on top of a huge volcano called a supervolcano. That means if it ever erupted, it would cause destruction across the entire country. Scary, right? But don't worry, the rangers told us it's been dormant for over 600,000 years so it's really safe. Phew!Speaking of volcanoes, that's what makes Yellowstone so amazing - all the geysers, hot springs, and mud pots caused by underground heat and pressure. We saw the most famous one called Old Faithful. It's this giant geyser that shoots blazing hot water way up into the sky every 90 minutes or so. The first time we watched it erupt, I couldn't believe my eyes! All that steaming hot water just exploding out of the ground. It was unreal. My favorite spot was definitely the Grand Prismatic Spring though. It's this huge hot spring, bigger than a football field, with the most incredible colors imaginable. Bright reds, oranges, yellows and greens all blending together in the water, caused by different types of bacteria. The rangers said the bacteria actually thrive in the searingly hot temperatures. How crazy is that? From far away, it looked almost like someone had spilled a giant rainbow in the ground. We took about a million pictures of it because it was just so beautiful and unreal.Everywhere you look in Yellowstone, there are these littleoga boiling mud pots and smelly sulfur vents. My dad thought it was hilarious every time we passed one with a rotten egg smell. He would do these exaggerated gags and pretend to pass out on the ground. Such a dork! We also saw tons of other geysers erupting, sending water shooting high into the air seemingly outof nowhere. The geysers are totally irregular, so you never know when one is going to go off. That's what makes it so exciting! As amazing as all the thermal stuff was, my absolute favorite part of the trip was seeing all the incredible wildlife. We were lucky enough to spot massive bison just wandering across the roads and grassy fields. They looked like prehistoric beasts! One even walked right up to our car and started licking the side window. I thought for sure he was going to ram us with those huge horns. Mom wasn't too thrilled about that close encounter! We also saw dozens of elk with their massive antlers. At one point, we witnessed two male elk battling it out, ramming their antlers together and bellowing these crazy loud screams. Their antlers were locked together and everything! My little brother was absolutely entranced watching them duke it out.And get this - we actually spotted a grizzly bear with her two cubs! They were way off in the distance, but we could still see them with our binoculars. A park ranger was there to make sure we kept a very safe distance since momma grizzly can be super protective and aggressive if she feels her babies are threatened. Still, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see those magnificent creatures in the wild like that.Beyond all the amazing wildlife, there was just so much breathtaking scenery everywhere you looked. Huge mountains, deep canyons, cascading waterfalls, vast forests - it was like something out of a movie. My favorite was the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone with its powerful roaring waterfalls and gorgeous colored cliffs. I've never seen anything quite so dramatic! We also got to go on a horseback riding tour through part of the park. I was a little nervous since I had never ridden a horse before, but our guides were super nice and made sure we were safe. We rode up and down all these hills and mountains, through wide-open meadows filled with wildlife. It felt like we had traveled back in time and were exploring the Wild West!As awesome as the daytime was, Yellowstone was even more magical at night. The stars out there are unbelievable since there is zero light pollution. We could see about a million times more stars than we can at home. It was so peaceful and serene just sitting outside our cabin, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit and gazing up at the incredibly bright Milky Way stretched across the sky. An experience I'll never forget!I seriously could go on and on about all the amazing things we did and saw at Yellowstone. From the powerful waterfalls to the bubbling mud pots to the herds of massive bison, it was likeno other place on earth. I really hope I get to go back again someday. And you HAVE to convince your parents to take you there too! You'd absolutely love it.I'll try to send you some of the pictures once Mom gets them uploaded. But no picture can really do this place justice. You'll just have to see it for yourself to truly understand what an awesome, unique, and beautiful place Yellowstone is.Well, I've rambled on long enough. I miss you and can't wait to see you this summer to tell you even more stories from our adventures! Say hi to your family for me.Your friend,[Your name]篇2Dear Billy,How are you? I'm so excited to tell you all about the awesome place my family and I visited over spring break! We went to this really cool city called San Diego in California. It's right near the Pacific Ocean and the border with Mexico. There was so much fun stuff to do and see there - I don't even know where to start!First off, we went to these amazing museums in a big park called Balboa Park. There was a museum all about different kinds of aircraft and space travel called the Air and Space Museum. They had a whole bunch of real airplanes and spaceships on display, including an actual Apollo spacecraft that went to the moon! Can you believe that? We got to go inside and see what it was like for the astronauts. It was so cramped in there, I can't imagine spending days cooped up in that tiny space. They also had flight simulators where you could pretend to pilot different planes. I got to virtually fly an F-16 fighter jet and perform all kinds of stunts and maneuvers. It was a blast, even though I crashed it into a virtual mountain at the end! Oops...The best museum though was definitely the Natural History Museum. They had the most wicked dinosaur exhibits with full skeletons of T-Rexes, Triceratops, Velociraptors and other crazy prehistoric creatures. My mind was blown by how gigantic some of those dinos were - the T-Rex skeleton felt like it was staring right at me! They had a whole section on dinosaurs that lived in the ocean too with books and models showing what they may have looked like. I also loved the Dinosaur 4-D movie we watched that made you feel like you were really there. When theT-Rex roared, the whole room would shake from the sound. So awesome!Speaking of awesome experiences, we also went to this place called LEGOLAND that was basically a gigantic playground and amusement park, but everything was made out of LEGOs! They had roller coasters, a giant LEGO castle, and all sorts of LEGO characters walking around that we could take pictures with. My favorite part was MINILAND though - it was like an entire city in miniature made from millions of LEGO bricks! They recreated famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace, the Statue of Liberty, and even the Las Vegas strip all out of LEGOs. It was so detailed and realistic, you could spend hours just staring at it all.We also checked out the beach in San Diego which was beautiful. The water was a little chilly but we still went swimming and body surfing in the waves which was a blast. We saw pelicans and seagulls soaring overhead and walked along the shoreline looking for cool seashells. I even buried Dad in the sand when he wasn't looking - you should have seen the look on his face when he emerged as just a head sticking out of the beach! The most fun though was going to the amazing San Diego Zoo. It's one of the biggest and best zoos in the entire world! We saw pandas, polar bears, gorillas, lions, giraffes, elephants, tigers, zebras - pretty much any animal you can imagine. My favorite was definitely the koala bears though. They were just the cutest, sleepiest little things lazing about and munching on eucalyptus leaves. I could have watched them all day!The zoo had so many different habitats too like the Arctic area, the rainforest, desert, and even an Australia section with kangaroos just hopping around freely. We saw leopards, jaguars, and other big cats prowling up close at the Tiger Trail habitat. We even got to pet and brush some of the smaller animals like the deer, sheep, and goats at the children's petting zoo area.At the end of each day, we'd go back to our hotel and swim in the big pool there. The hotel had a waterslide too which was a total blast. We'd order room service and pig out on fries and milkshakes before crashing for the night. It was such an exhausting trip, but in the best way possible!I had so much fun in San Diego, Billy. There was seriously something new and exciting to do every single day that we were there. The museums, the LEGO park, the beach, and especially the amazing zoo...I'll never forget all of it! I wish you could havecome along too. Maybe you can come visit my family the next time we take a trip somewhere cool like that?Your friend,[Your name]篇3Dear Tommy,How are you? I'm writing to tell you all about the super cool place I visited with my family last weekend. It was this huge aquarium called the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta and it was amazing! You would love it since you're obsessed with sharks and other sea creatures. The aquarium is gigantic - it's one of the largest in the whole world! It has thousands of different animals like whales, dolphins, rays, sea lions and more fishy friends than you can imagine. My mind was blown by how many tanks and exhibits they had. It's like being underwater without getting wet!The coolest part by far was the Ocean Voyager exhibit. This is where they have the massive whale shark that is bigger than a school bus! Can you believe a fish that enormously huge exists?? It was swimming right above my head and I felt so tiny lookingup at it. The whale shark is joined by thousands of other fish like manta rays, sawfish, and more sharks circling around in this gigantic tank that holds 6.3 million gallons of water. That's more water than you can fit in a million bathtubs! They had this really neat acrylic tunnel where you can walk underneath and see the sea life swimming above and around you. It's like being inside their underwater home. I pressed my face up to the tunnel and saw sharks, rays, and huge groupers just gliding past. A grouper is this humongous ugly fish with a mouth so big it could swallow my entire body in one bite! Good thing they're well-fed at the aquarium.Another amazing exhibit is the Ocean Explorer gallery which has the largest window to view ocean animals in the whole world. This window is as tall as a 5-story building! You can see bonnethead sharks, zebra sharks, sawfish, and more creatures native to the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean. I saw a tank full of scary looking sawfish with these long noses that kind of look like saws used for cutting wood. They use them to stun their prey before gobbling it up!One of my other favorite things was walking through the aquarium's Christmas tunnel filled with festive decorations and thousands of funky looking fish. There were tons of funnyshaped fish like the spiny pufferfish, clown triggerfish, and sui sui batfish. Have you ever seen a batfish? They look hilarious waddling around on their arm-like fins on the bottom of the tank.I had to do a double-take thinking they were little underwater Santas! My brain got a workout learning about all the amazing conservation efforts the aquarium does to protect endangered species and ocean habitats around the globe. They have special tanks to help breed and rehab injured animals before releasing them back into the wild. I saw tiny baby sea horses, lion fish, goliath groupers, and more in these nurseries. The cutest were the baby African penguin chicks - they looked like fluffy tennis balls waddling around! The aquarium also has entire sections devoted to Rivers of the World showcasing species from places like The Amazon River, India, and other parts of Asia. I even touched bamboo sharks, bonnethead sharks, and shrimp in their petting pools! Their fins felt so rough and scratchy. There were also tons of cool reptiles like alligators, frogs, and snakes in this section too.Overall, the Georgia Aquarium was an unbelievable experience I'll never forget. We spent over 8 hours there and I still don't think I saw everything. You have to come visit mesometime so we can go back! Let me know if you want me to bring back any stuffed animal souvenirs for you from the gift shop. I'm sure they'll have an adorable whale shark you'll go bananas over.Write back soon!Your friend,[Your name]篇4Dear Best Friend Tommy,How are you? I'm writing to tell you about the super cool place I visited last weekend with my family. It was this huge park called Yellowstone National Park and it's wayyyy out in the middle of nowhere in the state of Wyoming. But don't worry, even though it's in the wilderness there were still lots of people, hotels, and restaurants around. The first day we went, we saw this gigantic waterfall called the Lower Falls. It was taller than a hundred people stacked on top of each other! The water was crashing down with so much force that we could feel the mist hitting our faces from super faraway. The whole area around the falls was really pretty with bright green trees and bushes everywhere. After the waterfall, we went to check out these really stinky hot springs. They were these big pools of super hot water that smelled like rotten eggs because of all the sulfur and other smelly minerals dissolved in the water. Some of the pools were bright blue or orange which was really weird and neat at the same time. Our tour guide said the bright colors were caused by bacteria that can survive in the extremely hot temperatures. I don't know if I'd want to swim in bacteria water though, yuck! The next day, we saw even cooler stuff - geysers!! A geyser is like a hot spring, except that instead of just being a pool of hot water, they actually shoot scalding hot water wayyyy up into the air every few hours. We saw the most famous geyser in the whole park called Old Faithful. About every 90 minutes, Old Faithful would start rumbling and then FWOOOOSH a massive stream of boiling hot water would burst up like 180 feet into the sky! It was so awesome. While we were waiting for Old Faithful to erupt again, we walked around the area and saw all these other smaller geysers going off too. There were pools of bubbling mud that would occasionally burp and fling mud several feet into the air. Therewere also some fumaroles which were like geysers but they shoot out clouds of steam instead of water. The whole place smelled like rotten eggs from all the sulfur but it was still really cool. One of the most fun parts of Yellowstone though was seeing the wildlife. We were driving along the road one day and we had to stop because a massive hulk of a bison was just chillin' in the middle of the road! The park ranger said bison are pretty chill but you're not supposed to get too close because they can get cranky and charge you. We also saw a bunch of elk grazing in the fields and even a bear way篇5Dear Billy,Hi! How are you? I'm writing to tell you all about the super cool place I visited last weekend with my family. It's called the Museum of Science and you would love it!We drove for about an hour from our house to get to the big city where the museum is. When we got there, I could see it was huuuuge - like five pyramid buildings put together! The outside is made of rainbows of colored glass and shines so bright in the sun. My dad said a famous architect designed it to look like that.First we went into the lobby area and there were already some fun things to see and do. There were these giant levers you could pull to make these big metal balls swing back and forth on cables attached to the ceiling. My little brother got bonked on the head by one of the balls because he wasn't watching where he was going! There were also some optical illusion displays that made things look upside down or backwards. Trippy! The first exhibit we went to was all about the human body. It was kind of gross but fascinating. They had real human bodies that had been preserved to show all the organs and muscles and bones underneath the skin. I couldn't believe how many tiny little bones are in the human hand! They also had a climbing structure that was a gigantic model of the human circulatory system with tunnels and tubes showing how blood flows. You could climb through the heart chambers and along the arteries. So cool!Next up was the physics section. This was my favorite part. They had all kinds of hands-on experiments to try. You could ride a spinning disk and feel crazy forces pushing you. You could bend streams of water by charging them with electricity. They even had a miniature tornado machine and a huge Van de Graaff generator that makes your hair stand straight up with static electricity! My sister got such a bad case of static hair. We alsosaw a show in the physics theater all about temperature and how substances change state between solids, liquids and gases. They made a miniature cloud form inside the theater using liquid nitrogen and fog machines. Awesome! The nature and biology wing had tons of interesting live animal exhibits - a tropical rainforest environment with birds and butterflies, a New England forest area with deer, a shark tank, and even a swamp with alligators! They also had a huge dinosaur skeleton on display that was terrifying but mesmerizing. After that was the geology and paleontology area all about rocks, minerals, earthquakes, volcanoes and fossils. You could experience what an earthquake feels like on a shake table and see fluorescent rocks glow under black lights. So trippy! Finally, we went to the technology and innovation wing, which was definitely the most fun. You could try piloting a flight simulator, program little robots to run through mazes, design and test your own video games, and use cutting-edge tools like 3D printers and laser cutters. They even let you use enormous Tesla coils to conduct two million volt lightning storms! Insane!Everywhere you looked there were crazy contraptions to play with and experiment on. I could have spent days there without getting bored. I hardly got to experience half of whatthey had. I'm definitely begging my parents to get a family membership so we can go back again and again. You absolutely need to convince your parents to take you to the Museum of Science over summer vacation or something. I promise you'll think it's just as amazing as I did. Maybe we could even plan a day for both our families to go together? Let me know!Talk to you later,Your friend,[Your name]。
