Women seem more able to pick up subtle tones of a voice or facial expression just by observing or using their intuition. Men are less sensitive . These may be stereotypes , but as generalizations they often seem true enough to make some scientists believe that they are more than just stereotypes. • Anne: Yeah , but some professionals in the field feel it’s not our brains that make us act so differently ; it’s society and the way that we are encouraged to act when we are young.
