英美人的姓名通常由两部分组成,前面是名(first name或given name),后面是姓(last name 或family name),合在一起叫全名(full name), 而中国人的名字排放顺序刚刚相反,另外Miss, Mr, Mrs只能放在姓前。

(一)Warming-up
Review the drill “What’s your name?转入到对周边学生姓名的询问,例如:What’s his name? What’s her name? (强调男女生的区别)
(二)Presentation
1. Write down a Chinese name and an English name on the board. For example: Deng Yaping and Jim Smith.
2. Ask students to discuss the names..
3. Ask some students to say their family names and first names
4.Have two students read the list of names in the box. Say, Guess, which names are first names and which are last names?
5. Ask students to write F for first name and L for last name next to the words. Students do the exercise by themselves.
6. Check the answers.
(三)Practice : choose a first name and a last name from 3a. Ask your classmates for their new first names and last names. Make a list.
(四)Name game. Practice introducing yourself and others. How many names can you remember?
