Step 1: Greeting and presentation.

Greet the students in English.

Welcome to school. Happy Spring Festival.

Step 2: Teaching new words and phrases.

Today we teach a new unit ---Unit 1:

Can you play the guitar? First please look

at the pictures. Then lead out all the new

words one by one. Then let the students

read the words by themselves for a few

minutes.

Step 3: Students practice.

To be more familiar with the words and

phrases, the teacher can organize a game

students to guess what he or she can do.

Step 6: Work in pairs:

Step 9: Practice

Show some pictures and exercises on the

PPT. Lead the Ss to practice the important

sentences and new words that they’ve

learned in this class. Then summary the

use of “can”.

Step 10: Homework.

Write something about what you can do

and what club you want to join.
