介词

介词是一种表示名词、代词等与句中其他词的关系，它不能单独担任句子成分，必须与名词或代词或相当于名词的其他词类、短语或从句构成介词短语，才能担任句子成分。

1 介词的种类和介词短语的用法

（1） 介词的种类

介词由词形上可分为简单介词和短语介词.

简单介词只有一个单词，如:in,on,after等。

短语介词是由两个以上单词集合而成，如:in front of（在…前面）,because of(因为），instead of（代替)等.

（2） 介词短语的用法

① 作定语

介词短语作定语时，一律后置。

The book on the desk is mine。桌子上的书是我的。

He bought a house of five rooms。他买了一所有五个房间的房子.

A man in white came into the hall.一个身穿白衣的男人走进了大厅。

② 作状语

介词短语作状语时,修饰动词、形容词、副词或者整个句子.

Classes begin at eight。（修饰动词）八点钟开始上课。

The school is not far from my house.(修饰形容词）学校离我家不远。

③ 作表语

He is in danger。他处于危险之中。

It was because of the heavy rain， we couldn’t go out.因为这场大雨，我们出不去了。

④ 作宾语补足语

We made him out of danger。我们使他脱离了危险.

2 表示时间的介词（注意：表示时间的名词前有this，last，next，every等修饰时,其前面不加介词.this morning今天早上；last Monday上周一；every week每周）

（1） at,on，in

A. at:用于表示时刻、时间的某一点

at lunch在午饭时 at breakfast早餐时 at noon正午时 at that time那时

表示方位的介词：in, to, on

1. in 表示在某地范围之内。

Shanghai is/lies in the east of China. 上海在中国的东部。

2. to 表示在某地范围之外。

Japan is/lies to the east of China. 日本位于中国的东面。

3. on 表示与某地相邻或接壤。

Mongolia is/lies on the north of China. 蒙古国位于中国北边。

表示计量的介词：at, for, by

1. at 表示“以……速度”“以……价格”。

It flies at about 900 kilometers an hour. 它以每小时900公里的速度飞行。

I sold my car at a high price. 我以高价出售了我的汽车。

2. for 表示“用……交换，以……为代价”。

He sold his car for 500 dollars. 他以五百元把车卖了。 注意：at表示单价(price) ，for表示总钱数。

3. by 表示“以……计”，后跟度量单位。

They paid him by the month. 他们按月给他计酬。

Here eggs are sold by weight. 在这里鸡蛋是按重量卖的。

表示材料的介词：of, from, in

1. of 成品仍可看出原料。

This box is made of paper. 这个盒子是纸做的。

2. from 成品已看不出原料。

Wine is made from grapes. 葡萄酒是葡萄酿成的。

3. in 表示用某种材料或语言。

Please fill in the form in pencil first. 请先用铅笔填写这个表格。

They talk in English. 他们用英语交谈。

表示时刻的介词

表示时刻的常用介词有in,on,at,for,since,after,by,before,until,during等。

at, in, on

at用于具体的时刻前，也能够用于固定的搭配中。

I was mending my computer at noon yesterday.

in用于世纪、年、月、季节、一段时刻或泛指的一天的上午、下午、晚上等之前。

Bright yellow flowers appear in late summer.

on用在具体某一天或某一天的早、中、晚或节日之前。

They’ll be here on Tuesday.

since, for

since意为“自从......以来”，指从某时一直连续至今，后接时刻点，用于完成时。

We’ve been waiting here since two o’clock.

for指动作连续贯穿整个过程，后街时刻段。

He’s been off work for a while.

after, in

after表示以过去为起点的一段时刻之后，用于过去时。

She went to England after two weeks.

in表示以现在为起点的今后一段时刻之后，用在一样今后时的句子中。

He will be back in a month.

by, until/till

“by+时刻点”表示“到......往常为止”，假如by后表示今后的时刻，应用一样今后时；假如by后加表示过去的时刻，应用过去完成时。

By the end of next month, I will finish reading this book. until/till用于确信句中，表示“明白.....为止”，其前的谓语动词用连续性动词；until用于否定句中，表示“明白......才”，其前的谓语动词用短暂性动词。
