3. 词语解析

1) Chinese的意思是中国的；汉语；中国人。

例句： Mrs. Green speaks Chinese very well!

Wood likes Chinese food. I’m Chinese. I love China.

2) in the middle of(在…中间)是表示位置的介词词组。

Wednesday is in the middle of the wddk.

The car is in the middle of the road.

[归纳]我们已经学过的介词词组还有：

in front of… 在…的前面 in the centre of… 在…的中心

The teacher is in the front of the blackboard.

Nanjing Road is in the centre of Shanghai.

3) clever聪明的，shy(害羞的)，kind(友好的)都是用来描写人的形容词。

Mary is clever and she is also a shy and kind girl.

4) when是时间疑问词，相当于what time

When do you have English class today?

重点知识：

1. never, usually, often, sometimes, never 是表示频度的副词。

My brother sometimes plays football with me.我哥哥有时和我一起踢足球。（哥哥周三、周五和周日下午有空陪我玩。）

I never play volleyball.我从来不打排球。（我不喜欢打排球。）

2. Peter goes to school from Monday to Friday.

句中的from…to… 是从…到…的意思，既可以连接表示时间的名词，也可以连接表示地点的名词。如：Bob runs all the way from home to school.

3. on Monday morning 在星期一下午。在具体某一天的上午或下午用介词on。

【归纳】表示“在那一天”用介词on（on Monday）。表示“在一天中的上午、下午或晚上”用介词in(in the morning/afternoon/evening)。表示“在几点钟”用介词at(at six o’clock)。表示“在中午”“在晚上”和“在周末”也用介词at(at noon/night/weekends)。

总结have的用法： have an idea have lunch have a meeting

have a class have a bath have a party have a look have a rest

5. Miss Friday is a little shy, while Mr Saturday is very kind. 星期五小姐有点害羞，而星期六先生非常友好。

*句中的a little 是有点，少许的意思。

I am a little afraid. The shoes are a little small for me.

*while 是个连词，在本句中的意思是“而，然而”，表示并列。

之前学过的连词还有：and, but, then, …

教学设计说明

一、学生情况分析：

基本情况：

本次教学对象为四（2）班,人数为46人。他们从一年级开始就参加学校开设的英语兴趣课程、大多数学生对课外阅读拥有浓厚兴趣、超过半数的学生在课后参加各种形式的校外英语学习等，这一切都促使他们逐渐形成了对英语学习抱有较高兴趣、较多的英语知识积累、乐于用英语进行交流的共性特点。

现有水平：

在学习本单元内容之前，学生已经掌握了一周七天的星期表达，了解了不少场所以及可以进行的相关活动；同时，学生们也能较为熟练地运用to be、can句型、there be句型、一般现在时态的各种相关句型进行表达与交流。

经过过去三年半的学习，学生已经能够用一般现在时询问他人的职业，喜好等。而学生在学习一般现在时的时候就对频度副词有了一定接触和初步认识。本校开设的英语兴趣课中，四年级的主题是festival。学生在学习各个节目的习俗过程中经常会碰到一类问题：What

do people usually do at...(festival)? What do people often eat at...(festival)?其中也涉及到了本单元的重点---频度副词，这为本节课的学习作了良好的铺垫；同时他们也具备了一定听、说、读、写、演的能力。

学习活动：

在上半学年，学生在英语兴趣课的课堂上以小组为学习单位完成了多个project如jack

o’ lantern, Christmas card等。在这个学期，学生目前接触到的节目有Easter和Mother’s
