61. Bryan: What comes first, the customer or the profit?62. Olga: How important is an entrepreneur’s ambition to his/her company’s growth?63. Scott: How does an entrepreneur make use of his/her advantages?64. Anna: Why do successful entrepreneurs seem to enjoy their work?65. David: What attitude should an entrepreneur have toward his/her social responsibilities?ASheri PoeRyka Inc.Since I started this company in my kitchen seven years ago, I always dreamt of what it would be some day. Focusing on that goal helps me get through tough times. To get the kind of success that you want, you need to dream big. That’s the starting point. Every success story begins with big drea ms. You need to have big dreams for yourself, like being somebody rich, famous or fulfilled. You need to have a clear goal of what you want to achieve. Also, I think it’s really important that the people you’re working with are as committed to the same goal as you are, so you can support each other and keep each other energetic.BAnita RoddickThe Body Shop Inc.In America, we have a shop in Harlem where 50 percent of the profits go into the community development, and the other 50 percent go toward the funding of a similar shop elsewhere in the United States. The pride that shop brings to the staff and local people inspired me.What The Body Shop does successfully is use our facilities in the street and shopping centers to talk about real human issues like AIDS, recycling, human rights, and community service or to encourage people to speak out against anything they consider to be unjust. Knowing our products are symbols of social change is really encouraging.- 2CBen CohenBen & Jerry’s Homemade Inc.I’m energized by the people I work with. I’m very relationship-driven, which I think is different from most entrepreneurs. I’m inspired by do ing things that are not normal and that most people think don’t fit into the business world or don’t make any sense. In business, you are judged by the company you keep—from your management team, board of directors, and strategic partners. Maybe the lady you met in a trade association meeting can help you secure funding, or the gentleman at a conference can provide you with management advice.DRichard MelmanLettuce Entertain You EnterprisesA number of years ago, I was interviewed by someone who was writing a book on enterprises. He asked me, “What’s the opposite of work?” I answered, “Lazy.” He started laughing and said, “Believe it or not, a lot of entrepreneurs say the same thing.”The average person thinks the opposite of work is play, but to an entrepreneur, work is play. I think it all adds up to having fun. It’s fun to create; it’s fun to entertain, and it’s fun to make people happy with our service. When it stops being fun, I’ll stop doing it.EFrank Toskan- 3Make-Up Art Cosmetics (M.A.C)One of the nicest things anyone ever said to me was, “I hate makeup, but I love M.A.C.” That’s what moves me on. Even people who don’t wear makeup can appreciate our company, what it stands for, its values, and the way we do business. We work from an inverted pyramid, where the customers are always at the top. Our customers inspire me and keep me going. They and our staff, not money, make me enthusiastic. If I had stayed in this business just for the money, I would have closed down years ago.FKenneth ColeKenneth Cole Productions Inc.You can’t be everything to everybody. Each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses. To be effective, you need to identify your strengths and concentrate on them. You’ll become more successful if you are able to channel your efforts to areas that you do best. In business, for example, if you know you are good at marketing, then give it full play. Seek help or assistance in areas that you may be poor at, such as accounting or bookkeeping. To turn your weakness into strength, consider taking hands-on learning or training.题型解读信息匹配题的形式通常为“六选五”,即五个小题,给出六个选项,要求考生迅速抓住所给材料的大意和关键词句,根据题目所给的信息进行类比和筛选,快速找出与题目要求相匹配的选项。

This book suggests that when you’re angry, ju st let it right out.5.This valuable book states that nervousness has become a constant factor in today’s society like a sign of the times, but it is sometimes difficult to recognize the effects of anxiety on our mental health.
1. Parents need to watch the time their kids spend on computer or video games.2. The effect of playing computer or video games on a child is different but it isthere.3. Computer or video games do affect children’s social development because theyare not playing in reality.4. If you have heard of online gaming, then you know video games can affect socialdevelopment in a good way.5. I’m living proof that computer or video games won’t do harm to kids.A. For a lot of children, computers and video games are just an escape from reality, taking them away from real life for a while, replacing a stressful or boring environment with sights and sounds kids could only imagine before. They have the ability of entertaining people’s minds while drawing in the whole attention away from real life. So the result will be like this: whenever a child can’t handle problems in real life, he might just turn to computer games.B. Reading Tom Sawyer or Harry Porter is as personal an act as playing an onlinegame or even more personal than playing an online or two-player game. I’ve rarely seen two people happily reading ONE book together. But when kids play online games they need to work together and it encourages the development of social skills.C. Many results can occur from playing video games, from feeling abandoned andbecoming addicted to getting better in touch with what other students are doing.Th e question here is whether or not video games affect a child’s development, not if it is good or bad. Anything that you interact with is going to have an effect on your development.D. People blame the computer and videos, because it is an easy target to hit. Ifyou really wanna look at people being lonely, look at the school system, where teachers could easily fix the problem by doing more group work with him/her choosing the students for the group. I mean, I could play outside by myself and still be lon ely. There isn’t a difference.E. I do believe our children’s development is affected by computers and video gameplay if too much time is spent because that’s time that a child used to be playingoutside with other children. I think that some computer work is good because it trains the brain in new patterns, but time on the computer need to be limited and playing outside should be encouraged.F. I am 6 feet 2 inches, 185 lbs, all muscle. I’m one of the most popular students and I’ve had a constant 30+ hour s of video games since I was in third grade. I played baseball all my life until high school, and still managed up to 40+ hours of video games. I am around the 80th position in my grade and have received many honors. So it’s not necessary that computer games affect a kid’s development in a bad way. It simply depends on how much exactly one plays, and how one manages their time.1. E。

This heart of yours, which is about the size of your two fists held together, beats about 90 times a minute.A grown person's heart beats about 60 to 80 times a minute. The heartbeat is not and it is not the same in any one person at all times.2. When your heart beats, it is pumping blood to all parts of your body. If you could examine your heart closely, you would see that it is really two pumps placed side by side, and working at the same time. Each pump has two parts, the upper part called the auricle (心房), and the lower part called the ventricle (心室). The auricles receive the blood as it comes into them after it has been pumped through the body. The ventricles pump the blood out. The right one pumps the blood to the lungs and the left one pumps the blood to all other parts of the body. At the top and bottom openings of each ventricle are valves (阀门) which make the blood go in3. Your heart is sometimes called the engine or the motor in your body and sometimes called the pump. It works away, both day and night. First it pumps out some blood, rests for a few seconds, and then it pumps some more. In a normal day, the heart4. By using a stethoscope to listen to the heart, the doctor can tell whether your heart is beating evenly and whether the valves are closing tightly. The stethoscope makes these sounds so clear that the doctor can hear them easily. The stethoscope has an earpiece that he places on your chest and tubes that he places in his ear. The earpiece carries the sound or your heart's beating along the tubes to the doctor's ears, and it makes the sound seem much louder than it really is. The doctor could5. An easy experiment can help you understand what happens when the heart beats. You can do this experiment with a hollow rubber ball. Make a small hole in it, and fill the ball with water through the hole. When you squeeze the ball, you will noticehow the water comes out in a spurt each time you squeeze. After each spurt the ball comes back to its round shape again. Something like this happens when your heart beats. The muscles in your heart grow smaller, or contract, and squeeze the blood out of the heart. Each time this happens, we say your heart is beating. Perhaps you have noticed that the doctor places his finger on the pulse in your wrist when you are ill. By doing this he can tell how fast your heart is beating.BDAEC。

A.The world is running out of time as watches don’t function well.B.It is uncertain that watches will remain popular.C.Some people claim that the watch industry is at a crossroads.D.The function of a watch has changed to stay on the market.E.New designs for a watch make it appeal to customers.F.The image of a watch satisfy many different tastes._______1. In today’s world of cell phones, min i laptops and MP3 players, most people have at least one time-telling tool with them. Since these devices are so common, is time running out for the 500-year-old watch? According to some consumers, yes. New Jersey teenager Charlie Wollman says a watch is “an extra piece of equipment with no necessary function.” Many young adults agree and they say they use their cell phones to tell time. Louis Galie, a senior vice president at Timex, said that fewer young people wear watches today than five years ago._______2. However, watchmakers optimistically say that watches regain popularity when consumers reach their 20s and 30s. By then, they are willing to spend money on a quality timepiece that doesn’t just keep good time. Fifty years ago, watchmakers laid great emphasis on products’ accuracy. But in recent years, the watch industry has transformed itself into an accessory business. And for many today, the image a watch communicates has become more important than the time it tells. _______3. “Complications”—features that go beyond simple timekeeping—are an important part of a watch’s image. Today’s watches offer a host of features that suit almost any personality. These features include altitude trackers, compasses, lunar calendars, USB drives, and even devices that measure the effectiveness of golf swings._______4. Creativity is also a key element in today’s watches. For example, Japanese watchmaker Tokyoflash makes watches that don’t even look like watches. The company’s popular Shinshoku model uses different col or lights to tell the time. It looks more like a Futuristic bracelet than a watch. Another Japanese watchmaker, Eleeno, makes a “handless” watch. Using a ring of circles to keep time, this watch makes an excellent conversation piece._______5. Whether a watch communicates fashion sense, creative flair or a love of sports, consumers want their timepieces to stand out. Nowadays, everyone has thesame kind of gadget(小器械) in their bags, so people want to make a statement with what’s on their wrists. Will this interest in wrist fashion last? Only time will tell.CDFEB。

If yes, discover ways to find yourself by going through the following article.1 __________If you are thinking, “how to find yourself when you are lost?”,then the first thing to do is to have a rest from everything—work, personal life and all worldly things. Give time to yourself to think why you seem lost. Is it because of over work? Is it because you are not leading a life that you want to? Or is it because you are not satisfied with the people or things around you? Try to find answers to these questions to determine the cause behind your restlessness.2 __________For once, instead of being the way others want you to be, be yourself. Look within and find yourself in you. Think about the things that you would want to do if you didn’t have any family obligations or any money issues. Think about the kind of relationship you would want to be in, the place that you would like to stay in, the kind of lifestyle you would like to lead, if you didn’t have the society or p eople around you, judging all the time. If you really want to know how to find inner peace, then think, what you would want others to describe you as—an honest person? Or adventurous? Or loving, or realistic? Once you look within, you will know the answer and then try to be exactly that.3 __________Thinking deeply about the past, the time or situations when you were the happiest, is another way to find yourself .Think what you were doing or with whom you were, when you were the happiest. This will help you to identify things that you want to do in life that make you happy and also certain people whose company you enjoy.4 __________Knowing yourself and determining what you to do with your life will not come to you in a day or two. Discovering oneself is an ongoing process and it can take months or sometimes even years to truly find yourself. So, it’s important that you maintain a written record of all your feelings and thoughts, which you can go through at a later stage. Pour all your emotions and feelings about life in it and who knows may be one day going through it, you will find yourself.5 __________Once you have discovered what you want to do with your life, make a move for change and self improvement. Even if it means taking up small things such as dancing or painting, go ahead and do it. If you want a career change, plan and take steps so that it can take place smoothly. If you are stuck in a bad relationship and find yourself unable to mend it, break away. At the beginning, you may find yourself slightly unbalanced, but with time everything will be fine.It is very important for you to truly find yourself, before it is too late. If you do not find yourself now, you will spend your life with somebody you do not even know, i.e. yourself.FEDCA。
